I was really impressed when they showed up. I thought they would use a cherry-picker or ladder, but he actually climbed the tree like a lumberjack, cut the branches with a chainsaw, all while attached to a rope and harness. The only downside was that it took about three weeks to get an appointment, but I can see why. And, unlike another tree trimming/cutting company, they had no problem coming into Detroit. They did a really good job, cleaned up their debris, and were finished in less than an hour. And this was a big tree.

They did a great job. It was phenomenal. They were very quick. Their clean up was great and we didn't find a single pine cone in the yard.

I called Clean Cut Tree Experts to ask for an estimate on having trees trimmed.. I asked if the company was allowed to trim trees on the city's side of the sidewalk and they advised me to contact my city to see if the city would OK such work. The estimator showed up as scheduled and gave me two estimates--one for the trees in my backyard and one for the trees on the city's side of the sidewalk. As it turned out, my city would not allow anyone except city employees to trim city trees. The original appt. date had to be rescheduled because of bad weather. The second appt.date had to be rescheduled because one of the company's trucks had broken down. On the third scheduled appointment date, the crew showed up on time. The foreman went over exactly what I wanted them to do. They cut down many very large branches and were very careful to avoid having the falling limbs coming anywhere near my house. They cleaned up all the branches and hauled them away. They spent about 2--21/2 hours and did a fine job. I will definitely use this company again.

Excellent work. They arrived on time with a large crew. Trees were removed. All scrap was hauled away. The clean up was very good. An excellent job. The price was fair. I would use them again in the future.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the work done. The men arrived as scheduled and reviewed the work with me before they started. They tried to move their bucket truck into position in the back yard but were not able to get past obstacles - I was glad they didn't try to force the vehicle through. From there, one man climbed the trees and the others worked below on limbs as they came down and those already down. They really worked professionally and carefully. They asked me if I was satisfied after each tree was completed. All of the limbs were cleaned up and you really wouldn't know they were here - except for the improvements to the trees of course. I have one small suggestion - the original person who does the estimating might want to take photos of the work to be done so there isn't any misunderstanding when the work crew arrives to do the work. Overall, I am very happy and would certainly have them do any other tree work we need done. These guys are really good!

Timely response to call. Although it was during a time when the area had experienced several bad storms, them came out in a timely manner, arrived when they said they would, Had a 4 man crew that worked quickly and efficiently, making sure they addressed all the areas that needed attention. They were very professional and were great guys. They cleaned up as they went and did even more than I expected. I would recommend them to anyone and definitely use them in the future.

Because of the recent harsh weather, it was a little difficult to schedule them to come out. When I was given an appointment it was 3 weeks out but I understood there were some customers that had more urgent matters due to the storms. They arrived in time. We had a tree that was hot by lightning but wanted to try and save it. They trimmed the damaged branches and cleaned it up. There was a second tree we also wanted looked at. The professional opinion of the company was that it was dying and had to go. They did a good job of removing the tree, grinding the stump and raking the area around the tree for debris. Only complaint is the tired from their equipment left some dark black tire marks over my concrete driveway which I hope will disappear over time. Over all a good job.

Ryan and his crew did a fantastic job. They arrived when they said they would and set right to work. They took a short lunch break. Other than taking time to eat lunch, I never saw anyone standing around. They were all working all the time. They worked way beyond a normal work day removing the fallen limbs and brush and then took down the remaining trunks of the oak trees and the beechnut trees. I wanted to have the trunk of one of the oak trees left about 3 1/2 feet from ground level to use to put plants on so the yard doesn't look so empty. Ryan cut it the way I wanted it. His chain broke and he said he would have the team member who would do the stump grinding smooth off the top for me. The three yards involved were covered by huge branches and trunks from the trees. The fences were smashed under the debris. All that was left standing after the wind storm was the trunks of the oak trees. Their huge branches and tops were totally sheared off. One of the beechnut trees looked like a toothpick and the other was standing with broken branches hanging down. It was amazing to watch Ryan and his crew drop the huge oak trunks. When they were done, the 3 yards were totally cleaned up. They had to empty their trucks and the chipper a few times with all the wood they hauled out of the yards. Because it was late when they finished up, they promised that someone would come on Saturday to do the stump grinding. It was rainy Saturday so I figured they would not be able to come, but I got a call from the crew member that did the stump grinding and he said he was on his way. He arrived a short time later and ground the stumps. He also brought a chain saw and evened off the top of the oak trunk I wanted to have left standing for plants. I am so glad I used Clean Cut. There was a total of 7 men here working between Thursday and Saturday. Every single one of them was extremely nice, polite, and hardworking. I would highly recommend them.

Cheryl very pleasant to speak with over the phone. Estimator came by as scheduled. Services performed as scheduled. Tree cutting crew was great! Very efficient and thorough. Left the yard cleaner then before they came. Will not hesitate to use these folks again!

We got off to a slow start when they arrived to do the job and the neighbor's car was in her driveway. I was not home when they visited to do the estimate & they made no notation on the written estimate that the neighbor's drive must be clear. Their office called me promptly to reschedule and they were very apologetic. On the second attempt, they again arrived a little earlier than expected but they began working right away. They completed the job in under 2 hours including a very thorough clean up. I am very satisfied with their work. And I thought the price was reasonable for the amount of work they did. And they were right to wait for the neighbor's drive to be clear so they showed good judgement in protection of personal property. I will recommend them to neighbors & call them in the future when I have more work to be done.

Based on 3 estimates, Clean Cut provided a competitively-priced quote for the tree removal so we hired them to remove 2 tall pine trees in our back yard. They were responsive and easy to deal with for scheduling the work. When they came they performed the work in a friendly, professional manner and cleaned up when they left. I would use them again.

Working with this company was a pleasure. I had difficulty contacting other companies because they had no one answering the phones, requiring multiple messages to be left to arrange a visit for a quote. When I called Clean Cut, a very pleasant person answered the phone, quickly arranged for a visit to my home for a quote. The quote was the lowest of 3 companies I was able to contact. The work crew showed up on time, were very pleasant and professional, and worked very hard over a 2 day period to get the job done. We had 14 very large walnut and maple trees to be removed from the lot. The crew finished on the second day as promised, having removed all the trees, and cleaned the yard of extra walnuts, leaves and branches. So pleased with their work, I have called them to remove 3 trees from another site.

We have a large Chestnut that was planted too close tot he house. Clean Cut removed on large branch that started about 6 feet from the ground and was almost entirely over the home, as well as cleared other branches within approx 15' of the exterior of the house and roof. Did a nice job and it was done within an hour. They were several hours late from the original time, but finished the work only a little later than originally expected. Crew of 6-8 people and heavy equipment got done what I could not. Everything was cleaned up nicely. Would definitely use them in the future.

They were very professional & courteous. I was called on 09/03/2014, which was 1 day before the scheduled service. They asked if I would mind if they came a day earlier, & I told them "no, I wouldn't mind". The job took a lot less time than I initially thought, & I was very satisfied with the results!! I plan on calling them again (this month) & scheduling an estimate for the removal of three (3) other maple trees located on the side of my house. I would recommend Clean Cut Tree Experts to anyone seeking tree cutting/trimming and/or landscape services.

This company was dependable, punctual and did a great job. Sharolyn responded to all of my questions right away and was very professional. The team showed up at my home on time and got right to the job, which was extensive. They worked quickly and cleaned everything up prior to leaving the site. It was a great experience and I will definitely be using them again.

They came out early the first morning and did everything but grind the stumps down. They had a problem with the stump grinder and were waiting on a part for it so they were not able to perform this task on the same day. I believe we were not informed of this because they were anticipating they would have a part for this machine later in the day; however, this did not occur and they had to schedule it for a later day. Fortunately we were not inconvenience even though the holiday weekend was the following day, but it may have been a problem for someone else. They were incredibly pleasant and cleaned up after they finished. Kyle came out to grind the stumps on a later day and didn't finish until around 9pm. He was even going to use the blower to remove the small debris out of the driveway, but I told him it was late and he needed to go home. This was not a big deal and we have a blower. This was so impressive to me that even though it was late and mosquitoes were finding him very attractive at this time he was staying to finish the job in such a professional manner. We will definitely use them in the future because we have more trees that need to be taken care of. Our neighbors were watching and later asked for the name and number of this company we were using. My only suggestion would be that if you have surrounding plants you are particularly fond of remove them because the machine they use is enormous. There is only so much that can be done in order to avoid crushing the plants but I told them not to concern themselves due to I am not a gardener and that is why I have perennials. It would be difficult for me to believe this company would have anything but a great review.

Same crew showed up as last time. Had rained hard all morning thought for sure they would cancel but they worked in the mess after the rain stopped. They did an excellent job of removing the large limb that was hanging over our power lines. They took down the lines and started right to work. the tree was in the neighbors yard and we had access to it. After about an hour, it started to rain again, but they keep working right through it. They got the power lines connected again, cleaned up and shredded all the wood and leaves. Brought in the leave blower and blew out all the wood chips. Nice job considering the weather. My neighbor was impressed enough that he is having them back to take down a large limb on the same tree and also trimming a couple of pines in the front of his house. You can not go wrong with this company. They do what they say, when they say, and have very good pricing. Will recommend this company to friends and relatives alike.

the Crew showed up on time on the date promised. They set right to work and had the tree down, hauled out front, shredded and the yard raked up and blown off in about an hour and a half. Did a very nice job, no damage to property or shrubs. Cleaned up everything and left everything in good shape. Crew was friendly and helpful as well. The charge for the work was very good and the service was better. Will use them again.

I was unable to be there when the services happened. they accommodated all of my needs and took care of it professionally. they did not make me pay for said services until the job was complete and up to my standards. Every time i called they returned my call within a couple of hours.

When the gentleman came to my house to give an estimate, I told him that I had two main concerns: that the surrounding garden area not be damaged, and that I would like the wood chips from the tree left in my driveway. I told him that the job could wait till November if he felt the plants surrounding the tree might be injured. The tree was close to my house, as well as close to highly landscaped gardens. He said that they could remove the tree with no problem, and leave the wood chips afterward. The next day the office called while I was at work and asked if they could stop by that day to take down the tree. I agreed, but told them I would not be at home and would try to have someone there in my place. When I arrived home after work, the tree had been removed. There was a small ornamental tree nearby that had been knocked down, and there were no wood chips left. I called the office and the woman who answered apologized. She said that normally if there is any damage to surrounding plants the crew notified them. I texted her an image of the damaged tree, and said that I was mainly upset that they had not notified me of the damage, and that they had not left the wood chips. She said she would forward the image to the crew supervisor, and that because the job was at the end of the day there were a large number of wood chips in their large truck at the time and it could not be dumped in my driveway. She said she would have wood chips delivered to my house later that week. I waited a month, and never heard back from them again. This was the second time I used this company; the first time everything went smoothly. Unfortunately this time they did not follow up on my concerns, and I will use a different company next time I need tree work done.

They were very professional. Also very accommodating with a change in scope request when they came to the site. I asked if the person who provided the original estimate was with the crew and could provide me with a cost to clear some additional bushes. I thought I would have to schedule a second visit. The crew manager quickly gave me the additional cost, which was reasonable, and ALL work was done in that single visit. If you are a female, I can recommend this company, for they are respectful and in no way condescending like some male dominated companies can be. I would use them again and recommend them.

They did not grind down the stumps to grade level and I asked them a couple of times to finish. No response, I will have to hire another company to grind the stumps to grade level.
