After over two months of waiting for another tree removal service to respond to my request for a tree removal, I got a number of quotes for the job. Our Family Tree Service, headed by JP (John Powell) was quick to respond and gave me a very modest price in comparison with a few other quotes. The work crew of six were at my house a week after I approved the job and spent approximately 5 hours to remove the tree. My tree was intertwined with a neighbor's tree, so it was not the easiest type of removal. The work crew did a magnificent job and took care not to endanger a new deck situated near the tree (a big concern of mine), as well as being careful not to mess up the neighbor's yard. I would highly recommend Our Family Tree Service for your job as they are prompt, courteous, and will try to work within your budget.
Description of Work: Removed ~50 ft. tall silver maple tree, ground stump, removed all refuse.

Description of Work: Had a huge tree cut down, shredded and logs cut onsite and everything could not have gone smoother. This is my second time using their service and I have 4 other families on my street that have used them as well and have always received outstanding service.

 + -1 moreThe crew arrived at 9:00 a.m.. They worked until 4:45. When one would break for lunch, the other four would continue working. They checked with me throughout the job to make certain they were only cutting what I requested. They really picked up on my fussiness, but were able to make very wise decisions about some things that needed to be done that I had not thought of.I guess I could write a book here. So many things impressed me about this service. The very best part of this service is that they left my property in cleaner condition than they found it.Oh, I should add that when you have so many trees pruned, you usually expect that something in the surrounding landscape might get damaged or trod upon. They didn't so much as step on a daylily, and there are hundreds of them. If there is a Leonardo Da Vinci of tree service, it would be Our Family Tree Service. I will recommend, and use this service in the future as trees have a tendency to keep growing. I am very grateful for the work they did.
Description of Work: My property is lined by trees which run along the power supply. If I don't keep the trees pruned, the power company comes, and cuts the tops off leaving them looking very ugly. Every four years or so, I dig deep into my pockets to have the trees pruned nicely. Most of the companies I've dealt with through many years have done a good job. Our Family Tree Service, from Warren, MI, did a great job.It's hard to know how much to say about the great service I received. The owner gave the estimate, and was very knowledgeable about tree names. He knew what kind of trees (I have quite a few) he was dealing with, and was not just someone with a saw. He also knew the names of all my plants, shrubs, vines (I have hundreds of living things growing in a small space).The crew of five consisted of a father, two sons, and two un-related employees. However, the crew worked together like all were family. There routine was incredible. All knew there job, and no questions were asked, or orders barked. Never, ever, saw a crew work so hard or with so much co-operation. They took off the exact branches I requested from 2 Black Hills Spruce, 2 Chinese Elm, 1 Mulberry, 1 Pear, 1 Cottonwood, and 1 Linden. They trimmed a 20 foot high Wisteria that had gotten too wild. They removed 2 Skyrocket Junipers that had grown so large they looked like they should be Christmas trees on the Whitehouse lawn. They took other assorted branches from lilacs, and other bushes. The entire crew were very hardy, and seemed to enjoy their work. They made sure to ask if there was anything else as they neared completion.

 + -1 moreThey do tree and shrub removal. I had a bad experience with them. I spent about $100 for their services. The guy was in and out of here in about 15 minutes which was absolutely horrible for $100. I had some wild branches here to cut down. When I looked at his card, he had a senior citizen discount. He said that was the senior citizen discount. He said that he wouldn't go any lower than that; he was very nasty. My overall experience with him was terrible. I thought that the price was exorbitant. I was watching the guy while he was cutting my neighbor's bushes. That's how I contacted him and I asked him if he would trim my trees. So, it was his demeanor and the price. I didn't get a firm price from him in the beginning which I should have. So, that was my fault. He cut some branches, but he didn't cut all the ones that I wanted cut out. When he got done with the neighbor, he came over and started doing mine. He made $100 on a $25 job for the amount of work that he did. I wouldn't use him again in the future. He said that he only needs 3 jobs a week. So, that tells you that he is not interested in earning a living. I didn't challenge him on the senior citizen discount as well.

 + 0 moreThis was my first experience with them. My neighbors have used him as well. They were prompt and they did everything that they said they would do. I paid $1300 for the job. He gave me the best estimate that I had ever had on tree service. They came on the day they said that they would. They did some extra work for no extra charge. They were courteous to me, my children, and my family. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. Their price was excellent. They were punctual, too. I have no complaints with them. I will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Our Family Tree Service, a month and a half ago. They removed an entire tree and hauled it away.
