We did not go with them at that time but they fixed something on the furnace. We did not go through with it, we just got an estimate. They were very nice, and they were punctual. We have used them a couple of times and we will use them in the future.

We have used Matheson before -- they installed a new central air conditioner and a water heater for us. The price is always reasonable, but that's not the most important part of the story. Their expertise, professionalism and quality of workmanship is unparalleled -- absolutely top-notch. They never cut corners -- they do it the right way. Use this company -- you won't be sorry. I had been experiencing problems with my current furnace, no heat 2 times in as many weeks. The Matheson technician "Trevor" had me fixed and back with heat in no time both with easy fixes. He had noticed that my furnace was over heating due to over sizing, I had gone with the "cheap" quote the year before on a new furnace and now was paying the price. Matheson sent out a install technician "Aron" and he showed me and walked me through the problems the oversized furnace was causing me, and explained to me a solution they had worked out. I sat down with one of the Home Performance Advisors "Pat" and he explained all my options completely and showed my the benefits and warranty options.On the day of installation/repair all work went as planned with their professional crew and I was back to running efficiently in no time. I would highly recommend their services to any one.

Had an appointment with the Matheson sales guy to have a new water heater installed in our new home. We had no idea how much the efficiencies had changed in water heaters since our last purchase. He showed us our options and we made an educated purchase we thought. On installation day they did everything that was talked about and more. Instead of just swapping out tanks their man took the time to change a couple copper lines that he said "I didn't like the look of" and changed an old valve we had overlooked. They cleaned their work area and finished their work on time.

I had Matheson out to install a humidifier and discuss some plumbing issues. They sent out their plumber who was professional and knowledgable. He wore plastic shoe covers which I appreciated. After he installed my humidifier he was able to address my plumbing issues and make some on the spot repairs. I was very impressed with their service and will be working with one of their advisors to address several more of my HVAC needs this spring.

My furnace stopped working 2 days prior to calling matheson (holiday). I called and talked to an operator who informed me that they were working at a normal price rate that day. I waited about an hour and a half for the technician to call me with a time they could come out. He told me they were actually working at an overtime rate due to the office being closed. It would have been nice to get a call back about a service time earlier and it would have helped to know what the actual rate was in the first place. I was taking time off work for the repair. I had to cancel and use another company.

I got them off Angie’s list. They were responsive and punctual.

As I stated above, everything went as promised. The entire experience surpassed my expectations. I am extremely pleased!

Quick response from Matheson on getting us an estimate and our rep, Mark Ebner, was available all weekend to answer our questions. Even though Matheson wasn't the cheapest estimate we received, after checking reviews on Angie's List and comparing warranties with the other estimates, we chose Matheson to provide and install a new furnace. We had also been shopping for an air duct cleaning company so was able to hire them to do that as well. Monday morning, after we decided on which contractor to hire on Sunday (!), Matheson arrived and installed our new furnace. Tuesday morning, however, something was amiss....no heat! A technician came out right away and fixed the problem, which turned out to be very minor. Tuesday was also the day the air ducts were cleaned. The technician did a thorough job and was friendly, professional, and courteous. We are quite pleased with Matheson!

The gentleman that they sent out was a nice guy but seemed not to be very interested in getting the job, which is why I did not go with them. He knew what he was talking about, but he seemed pretty abrupt. I would not consider contacting them again in the future.

Mark was extremely thorough and very knowledgeable in addressing our needs. Ours was a significant project. Although we chose another company, Matheson was one we strongly considered. I would definitely recommend anyone getting an HVAC estimate include Matheson in the companies you get an estimate from.

I called Matheson based on good reviews from Angies list. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance. They set up a 1:00PM appointment. I took the day off of work, waited til 4:30PM, no one showed up. I called the company and they said they would contact the technician. He called me back a half hour later saying he would be there in 30 minutes. After 45 minutes I got another call saying he would be another hour, which at the point I told him not to bother. Very disappointed with this company, will not be using them in the future.

The workers that came out to do the job were good. Everything is holding up very good so far.

Defined problem, explained in detail, gave options for repair/replacement, provided estimates for repair/replacement. Honest, detailed explanations and informed opinion with no heavy sales pitch.

My furnace and air conditioner were shaking the floors in my condo when they were turned on so I called Matheson Heating and Cooling in Commerce township after to looking at Angies List to inspect them. I had to pay Matheson Heating and Cooling $150 whose representative told me that I would need a new furnace system because of the noise in the heat runs. Their company could redo the runs so the knocking would cease. The company would be promoting some rebates etc in October . It was a piece of plastic(probably from the wrapping on the filter) that was on the blower which caused the knocking when the heat or cooling system came on. I called a referral of my sons. He came in opened the doors on the furnace and pulled out a piece of plastic. The noise stopped and has not started up again. I was able to turn my heat up to 67 and now I am not so cold.

They were clean, efficient, and polite. Their followup was excellent as well.

As started above they installed two furnace/ AC systems in one day on short notice. Work was clean, professional & courteous.

I called Matheson after deciding to change companies last winter due to continual efforts by the former company to sell us a new furnace and A/C every year, and their lack of 24 hour emergency service, which for us is something we grew used to and needed often enough while living in Connecticut for 16 years to value having here in Michigan. Matheson provides the option of emergency service and also is bonded and insured, as well as having many good reviews on Angie's List - that was enough for us to give them a try. When I called early in the summer the person I spoke with - I believe it was the owner, Mike - was very courteous and helpful - he suggested that we wait until late summer/early fall before signing up, so I called them back last week. I signed up for their maintenance "plus" contract on the spot, which was very reasonable (< $10/month) and they actually sent someone out for the furnace checkup within the next hour or two that same day! The serviceman was very professional, informative and not in the slightest of a "sales" mode about our aging furnace. In fact, only when I asked him his thoughts on that did he share those, and the appeared to be very well informed and reasonable. He didn't rush at all, taking his time to be very thorough, and explaining his observations, and some of the "why" behind it (as an ex-engineer I appreciate this). I look forward to using Matheson, given this initial experience.

We had them out for air duct cleaning but they had to come back to redo it. They seemed to be a fine company. They came out in the last three weeks. I only paid them initially but when they came back they cleaned up for no charge because there was plenty of dust getting out of there. We were still getting dust but they came back out and redid it. I don't know much about them except that they were located in Novi and I live there too. That was the reason we picked them. They were a reliable company.

The guys were tidy in the house, did a great job, and our A/C is now awesome.
