My furnace wasn't working so I called them up to fix it. it was after hours and I was very thankful that they have 24 hour emergency services. The operator on the phone was courteous and professional and technician was too. They informed me up front that the cost would be a $97 flat fee for them to come out to my house and there would be additional charges for overtime since it was after hours. The technician came on time as promised and was very knowledgeable. He immediately found a problem with the furnace ignitor after I explained the symptoms to him. Over all it was a 40 minute job including about 10 minutes of him sitting in his van trying to come up with a cost to charge me. For a $25 part (I looked it up on sears.com after the fact), I was charged $263 for installation. I could have easily done it myself if I could wait for the part to be shipped to me and have no heat for two days. To be fair, he did inspect the rest of the furnace (heat exchanger, temperature sensor, and flame sensor), which I think costs around $100. Overall, I was expecting to pay about $150-$200 for the fix. I have not worked with other Heat/Cooling companies so I don't have a point of reference to compare costs. I know that all the reviewers have given them a great rating. However, this one experience left a sour taste for me.

We woke up to a cold house getting colder. The furnace wouldn't start and we suspected it was a broken switch or faulty igniter based upon the error code readout on the furnace and a little internet research. We called Matheson and they scheduled someone that very morning between 9am and 11am. He called about 10:50 and arrived about 11am. It didn't take but 10 minutes for him to identify the broken wire. He went ahead and did an inspection since I had to pay for the call, which I appreciated. In addition, he had me get him new batteries for the thermostat, which he replaced. Something we didn't think of as the readout was fine. It was probably a good idea, though. We appreciated the fact that we could get service right away. Also, having a 20 year old furnace made me a little nervous about calling for service as I thought for sure they would try to sell us a new one. Fortunately, it was a simple fix and the house is nice and warm now. I thought the service call was reasonable, but the additional charge of $65 a little high to fix a wire that took 5 minutes. However, I was grateful that was all it was and I would call them again.

The tech arrived (called ahead first) even before the schedule 9 am to noon block, and did a fine job.

They did an excellent job all around from the inspection by travis to the sales meeting with Mark to the installation by Scott and associate. We had our new furnace and air filter installed and a warm house by 1:30pm Monday.

It was 2 days before Christmas Eve and Jered seemed to drop everything to come out, inspect my problem and install a new furnace, humidifier - just happen before my party. Very professional.

What a great company to do business with! I was impressed all the way around. HIghly recommended! Before I decided on which units to purchase, they explained everything to me in plain english and explained the benefits and costs associated with each product. (Including all incentives.) They also suggested I NOT replace my water heater. (Another contractor said I should.) Fabulous! They were extremely professional and each one was very polite and "patient" while my newborn had fits. Through the entire process they made sure they had runners down so my floor remained clean. When they left, there was no evidence that a complete rip out and install had taken place. (It was spotless.) Furthermore, they filed the paperwork necessary for me to get my credits from the gas and electric company. Again...they are highly recommended!

They did a fine job. They were very speedy and came out within 2 hours after I called.

Excellent. Estimate appointment was prompt and thorough. Installers came at appointed time. Everything was done well and professionally. All employees were friendly and responsive.

I have used Matheson Heating & A/C before and was really happy to see them on Angie's List. They are always very professional and show up when they say they will. James went about his work quickly and then sat and talked with me about different options for my 20-year old furnace. He was not pushy about replacement versus repair - just gave me the options and offered more information about replacement only if I wanted it. I have used Matheson a number of times in the past for both my furnace and my A/C and have always been satisfied with the repair work. I definitely recommend them and will not hesitate to call them for future work.

The technicican was extremely timely, very professional, and very knowledgable about the system. Compared to past experiences with other companies, I was extremely happy and have certainly found my 'go-to" company for any future issues.

"My 25-year old furnace gave out, just as the weather turned cold in December, right before the Christmas holiday. Todd Bertani, comfort advisor, came out to the house within an hour after my call into Matheson. He thoroughly inspected my HVAC inside and out, and provided me with an excellent explanation of my options and projected costs. He was very professional; no hard sell. The big question was "how fast can the system get installed?" I did get bids from two other companies and the quotes were slightly less expensive, but they wouldn't be able to perform the install until after Christmas - and neither gave as thorough and professional on-the-job estimate as Matheson's Bertani. Matheson promised to be out as soon as I made the decision to proceed. The Install At 10am in the morning I made the decision to go with Matheson. At noon, FIVE service vans showed up at my home and a Matheson crew of 5 . A mere 5 hours later the entire system was installed - furnace, a/c and humidifier. I was amazed at the fast, professional service. I definitely feel I made the right call.

Travis was right on time for the early service appointment. He showed up professionally dressed with a full set of tools and wore shoe covers to protect my floor. Another company had come the day before and told me my heat ex-changer was cracked by solely looking down the heat ex-changer tube and that I'd need a new furnace. Travis right away noticed a loose flame sensor that could have been shutting down my furnace due to vibration. He then proceeded to remove a cover, the blower and fully inspect the heat ex-changer by sight and feel after crawling in the furnace. He did not find any cracks. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Unfortunately once the sensor issue was solved another issue I noticed before with the circuit board and the gas valve required me to purchase a new furnace. I would definitely hire Travis and Matheson again.

Installers were on time courteous and respectful of my home. every thing went well.

The furnace that was making loud noises is now running quietly, the other one's motor is shot and I will be getting an estimate for replacement soon. As for the actual work, the technician arrived on time with all necessary equipment. He was friendly and professional and and the furnace that didn't have a shot motor is now working perfectly. I would definitely use this company again.

The technician was very meticulous with his job he spent more that one hour just cleaning the burners and he cleaned very well after all the work was done, I was very happy with the Job performed.

The services went well. The price was good and they were responsive.

Called Matheson's and they had someone out in a few hours. Price would have been lower if I could have waited until Monday. It was worth it to me to have the furnace serviced immediately. The serviceman did a thorough job of checking out and correcting the problem and I received a call later in the week to make sure everything was running properly. I will use them again.

Workers were on time and job was completed with estimated time frame. They agreed to add some additional material in order to keep my cats out of trouble (from climbing around the furnace).

It went very well. He was a fantastic guy to have do the work. He went above and beyond to ensure future problems would be alleviated.

The service was good, but the service person forgot to connect humidifier drain pipe, while leaving. He wore shoe protector, but somehow left some dirt marks on the finished floor. Overall, not a bad experience and good value for money / coupon.

They came as planned. Took there time to make sure everything was well cleaned. Very nice young men, I will continue to use them to service my furnace.
