My doubt about repeating the service was the distance he had to drive, and the rush hour traffic/ and accident on US-23. James was gracious about the delays, yet I would likely pick someone closer for my next service call.

We received four quotes and although they were not the very lowest price - we trusted them the most. They were able to answer all of our questions.

Mark provided written proposal and followed it perfectly! On time - on price and site was cleaned upon completion!

Called after hours on Friday night, sales person was here Saturday and the new unit installed on Monday morning. Sales person was professional, informative with no gimmicks, straight forward fair pricing, great communication, professional installation and attentive to detail. I was very pleased. He told me many things I did not know about my furnice. I plan to call them back and schedule an appointment to clean my air conditioner.

Was not pleased. They took their time with responding to our call. We were an emergency issue. I have asthma and our a/c went out during the hottest time of Summer 2012. They couldn't get the right part for a week. I had a very rough time with my breathing. They assured me over the phone it wouldn't take that long to get the part and then they had me pre-pay and ordered it. Then calledand said it was backed ordered. I wouldn't recommend this company!!!!!

We recently purchased this home with an older air conditioner. Although we knew the air conditioning system was functional, we wanted to have it checked out and serviced. The representative arrived on time, was thorough and professional. We were very pleased.

While I thought the guy was nice and experienced, I think he did not do as thorough of a clean and check since I was only using the $55 deal on Angies List. The work was suppose to last about an hour, but it went real quick in a half hour or even less. I think if I was paying the full rate he would have been more thorough in his work. He did mention that if the furnace stops working I should get a new furnace, which ended up happening and I took his advice and got another furnace. Overall it wasn't a bad experience for the price.

Our initial meeting with the sales representative left us strongly favoring Matheson even though the job quote was higher than the other companies that we had contacted. He was patient and very thorough in his explanation of the systems and took time to answer all of our questions in a way that we could understand. After meeting with him I put out an inquiry to friends as to any company recommendations that they had and four out of five had very high regard for Matheson. Two sited ways that Matheson had gone above and beyond what is expected of any company to help in their individual circumstances and would use them again in the future. The crew arrived on time and worked diligently completing the replacement of both systems in about 4 hours. When they were done there was no evidence that any work had been done except for the presence of the new units. Everyone was very professional and courteous. We would not hesitate to contact them in the future.

They were very professional, showed up when they said they would, and asked me for input when needed to make sure they were doing the job as I wanted it done. The only reason I gave them a B on the price is that the estimate I got from them didn't detail the costs, i.e. this much for parts, this much for labor, etc. I could have asked for that (and didn't), so it's something you may want to request.

I had several quotes and thought that Matheson had the best plan to solve my heating/cooling problem (house was always cold in the winter, hot in the summer and it was due to poor air circulation). Price was fair and install was very professional. They were on time and on budget. Can't wait to test the new A/C unit if the Michigan winter will ever go away, but the house has much better heating throughout since the instal, no doubt about it. As an added bonus, I've been having issues with a sulfur smell from my hot water (even after installing a new hot water tank, anode rod and water softener system), so they did a 'bleach' flush of my hot water heater for free.

I had heard some peculiar noises coming from my gas furnace, so I called Matheson and asked for their introductory 10-point check of the heating system. The guy came right when he was scheduled, phoning me on the way to verify someone was here. We went down to the basement and I held the light while he dismantled the gas burner assembly and cleaned it out. There did not appear to be anything wrong, and in the end it was not clear where the peculiar noise was coming from. But I he was satisfied that everything was OK and so was I. He thanked me for the help and left. Everything has been fine since then. It was very professional, and if I ever need to have any serious repairs I will call them first.

They were outstanding. They were professional, on time, and cleaned up well after themselves. It was a very positive experience. The installation corrected defects that some of which were here since the house was built.

Service was good. I had them come out a second time because toilet seemed to keep running. They promptly came out and repaired free of charge. I have already used them a again at our rental property. Richard was the technician that provided our service and I would ask for him again in the future.

The service was really great. We are really impressed with how they helped us out. We had to get the work done, so we got it done right away. We had been through the reviews and the reviews were impressive, so that's how they went ahead. We purchased a big deal from Angie's List. Overall, it was really great. The team who came out was very excellent. They explained what the issue was and they showed up how to avoid such issues. First, we thought we might have to replace the furnace; but it turned out to be a minor issue. We haven't shopped around, so we don't know what the price was with others.

The technician arrived on time and was very professional. Not only did he tell me more about my furnace than I could have found out on my own (I just moved into this house), but he took photos of the problem areas to show me when he found something wrong. He also described to me how to clean the electronic furnace filters which was very helpful. Of course, he did recommend I get a new furnace (which I expected) but wasn't pushy about it at all. All in all, an A+ operation.

Our furnace quit Friday evening after normal closing times. Matheson has 24/7 emergency service and apparently their "on call" technician was available. He called within 5 minutes and was here in another 15 minutes. Really good. He quickly got to work and diagnosed the problem. Only snag was that the part (a exhaust fan) would have to come from the distrubuter in the morning. He promised we'd get a call in the morning when they had the part and they'd schedule the visit to fix it. They called as promised and set a mid-afternoon appointment. Though he ran a little late he did call before he arrived, got to work and got the new fan installed. Once the furnace was running again he stayed in the basement to do his paperwork so he could listen to how it ran, a good idea. He also replaced our humidifier element and the furnace filter - both were needed, we had the parts and there was no extra charge (they charge by "flat rate" not by the hour). All completed quickly and without any fuss. I gave them a "B" for price to show that there was no problem and even though they gave us their senior discount ( a nice thing) it just seems kind of expensive; I'll call them again if need be and even though it seemed expensive I probably wouldn't shop around. Good work is worth it after all. Also gave them a "B" for promptness because they missed the afternoon appointment by about 45 minutes. Not a big deal but nobody's perfect and a B isn't all that bad. Yes, I'd go back without hesitation and I will recommend them to our friends.
