They came on the date scheduled even though the weather was the worst all year

This was not a rush job, but the work was completed roughly one week after I accepted the estimate. The two smaller trees were felled and then cut up. The Cottonwood had to be dismembered piece by piece. The trees were well handled per my sketchy instructions. I asked for some firewood, which they provided. The only thing that might have been better was that the firewood that they left was large pieces while they simply ground up pieces that would have made good firewood for my sized fireplace. Blame my instructions for that misunderstanding. The whole process took about six hours which included the crew's lunch break.

Nothing. I called them for service, they never called me back. The day was sunny, and there was no recent storms. Disappointed they did not want new customers.

Rick and Crew were very professional and Courteous. The price was competitive to other quotes and they did exactly as described during the quoting process, no surprises! Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. No Problem.

Based on their web site I thought they were a reputable company. Bob came out and gave me a quote on a Clarkston Tree Service work order (R5788). Three weeks later a company I never heard of called LAND ART arrived while I was at work and dropped both trees. Unfortunately one took out my neighbors 30 foot blue spruce, a crabapple tree and 4 feet of the top of my 30 foot evergreen. The young tree cutter from LAND ART appeared to lack experience and equipment. My neighbor and I have been waiting for their insurance company to settle for over two months. Clarkston Tree Service said that Land Art is a sister company but refuses to take any responsibility.

We were very happy with this company from start to finish - from when they came out to give us an estimate, until we set a date for the work which was good for both parties.

Great results! Stump and root ball fell back in to hole. All the heavy logs were hauled away by Clarkston Tree. We chose to cut the small stuff ourselves for firewood. Excellent work and such hot weather they worked in that day! Thanks Josh and team!

He cancelled the first appointment and was very apologetic, but then no showed for the second appointment.

I eventually hired someone else who came out gave me an estimate and then came back to go the job.

I was looking for help in removing two tree stumps. The folks at Clarkston told me they used a stump removal fellow who did excellent work and recommended I contact him directly which they were certain would save me money. I jotted down the name and phone number and called. The response was positive and the price great. The fellow came out by the end of the week, removed the stumps and cleaned up the mess for far less than his competitors had quoted. I appreciate Clarkston helping me out on this need even though they didn't make any money on the job. Now that's customer service. I will certainly call them first on any future need.

I left several messages but received no return call.

I found them on Angie's List. I spent $800 for tree removal and $170 to have the stump ground.

I never received a call or visit for an estimate.

Bob came out and looked over the tree and gave me a range of options on what could be done with the tree. He was very friendly and punctual and even called to see if he could stop by early. He then did extensive research into this specialty tree and provided me a written report on my options. Bob helped me with the required repairs on the tree and I am hopeful on being able to save the tree.This is a great company and they love trees. They were very helpful with a range of tree issues. They really took the time and effort to understand the issues and we couldn’t be happier with a company. They are very friendly and easy to work with. They know their trees. I highly recommend them!

The whole experience was excellent. I called Friday morning at 9am and described the work I wanted done. Bob came out and had a quote to me by noon that day. I was very happy with the price as it was $150 cheaper than a competitors bid. On Monday I confrimed I was going to go with them and three days later on thursday Josh and his crew was out and had the work done. Josh and his guys did a great job. They completed the work much faster than I had expected and cleaned everything up, even blew off my deck. I will definately recommend them and use them in the future.

Emailed a scope of work and marked the trees and described work areas. Josh estimated the job based on email and markers - which did not require me to come home during work day. A complete estimate was provided to me via email soon after the request. The job was completed based on my timing window. All wood was removed and brush piles were completely cleaned. The crew was careful not to damage the yard or driveway. Overall, an excellent experience!

Called Clarkston Tree Service and spoke with Josh about the tree and the brush piles we had that we needed removed. He came out that day to give me an estimate and also offered to discuss with me a problem some of our other trees that appeared to have some sort of disease (my request). He was very willing to go over with me what our options were for the sick trees and recommended that I not cut them down as they appeared to have green growth and still healthy. The estimate came in well under what I was expecting due to the proximity of the tree to our home. To say I was pleased is an understatement. We setup a date for the work to be done and that was that. Josh sent me a copy of his insurance later that day and made sure I received it. The weather decided not to cooperate with us for the initial appointment, but Josh was very courteous and immediately called to see if we could reschedule to a new day when the weather would be better. I agreed that we should and set the appointment for Tuesday morning. Josh and his crew showed up right on time and got to work. They had the tree and brush piles done and the entire job site cleaned up by lunch. No damage done to my home, or anywhere else on my property. It was a great experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Very professional, very fast, very good.

I made phone contact with Josh on Friday and he agreed to come give us an estimate by Monday afternoon. He came early Monday morning (yesterday) and gave us an estimate for $965. We agreed to the work and he came back this morning, expecting to spend 3-4 hours doing the job. The crew worked very efficiently and were done by 10:15. Since the work didn't take as long as he'd expected, Josh reduced our bill to $900. Very happy with their professionalism (particularly when compared to some other tree service companies we've dealt with in the past), and will definitely use them again.

Owner gave estimate which was very reasonable. They came out when expected and exceeded our overall expectations. They did an excellent job.

Called Clarkston Tree Service for an estimate on trimming the lower limbs/branches of a 60 foot tall cherry tree. Bob Thurlow came out to the house later that day and gave me an estimate. Bob and one other person arrived on the agreed upon day and time. It took about 90 minutes to complete the job. The yard was then cleaned up of all the fallen limbs/branches. Bob then indicated that the job was actually performed by Land Art of White Lake, MI. Land Art is not listed in Angies List. He requested that payment be made to Land Art.

Came out and gave bid quickly. Scheduled services. Crew was a little late due to other job, but based on my experience, that has been the norm.

The owner came out on March 31st and gave a good written estimate laying out exactly what would be done. Very nice, well informed and organized. I was given insurance certificates and company information with quote. He estimated that they would be out Monday. Called first thing Monday morning to let me know it would be Tuesday because of rain. Crew came out first thing Tuesday morning. In total the job took about 4 hours. Crew cleaned up and raked the yard exceptionally well. The owner was on the job working with the crew the entire time. Job well done. Will recommend to others.

Besides being a polite and patient man, he gave us great service. He took care of extra things my wife asked him to do. There were three men and all the equipment needed to do a good job. By the way, my wife gave him a tip for the extra things.
