Not being familiar contractors in the area, when I started looking for someone to install a new roof I was concerned that I may end up with a low quality but high price contractor. I ended up contacting Green Horizon after my roof developed a leak. Steve was quick to respond. Green Horizon installed a new asphalt roof and they did a nice job. Leading up to, during, and after the job Steve was quick to respond to all my questions. I would recommend Green Horizon to anyone looking for a quality roofing company.

We were kept up-to-date on all aspects of the project. It was done efficiently and on time. The crew was very professional, polite, and readily answered any questions. We feel very comfortable in recommending Green Horizon Roofing.

Steve Root, owner of Green Horizons, did an outstanding job repairing a leaking chimney that a prior contractor failed miserably in repairing. He wrapped the chimney with plywood, house wrap and finally a textured vinyl rock material. In addition, he replaced all the damaged interior wood and stained it to match pre-existing colors. He went over and above in negotiating for me with the insurance company and was able to get 85% of the costs covered and he kept me abreast of every move with pictures and daily updates. I don't normally write reviews, but in this case it is totally warranted, I will not hesitate to contact Steve Root for any major house repairs I need done in the future, Excellent contractor.

Steve was very easy to work with. He and his crew seemed very knowledgeable and willing to make sure things were right. They strive to make sure the customer is pleased. Even though the weather was an issue at times and a part had to be ordered, the job was completed in a timely manner. I would definitely hire them again.

Steve and his team are great. They were on time, courteous and professional. Our house looks great with its new roof, and there was no debris left anywhere. Important for me is that Steve came out twice to see our house and understand the problems we were having. He then put together a plan to fix the problem, plus our house looks so much better with the new roof.

The installers did a excellent job, they finished quickly, were here on time. Steve communicated with us on a daily basis to see if we had any questions or concerns, we would recommend this company to anyone who needs a new roof

Thanks to Steve s team, I have a lovely metal roof on my home, garage and small shed, and the snow did not deter or delay them. Being an older home, there also turned out to be a cracked flue I did not know about, so the roof leaked in one small spot after installation. But Steve s team came back out, tracked it down and got the flue repaired as well. They were tenacious figuring it out, and everyone was great to work with. Now my roof is a thing of beauty, and I am so pleased, I am using Green Horizons for a different rental property as well. I not only highly recommend Green Horizons, I ONLY recommend Green Horizons.

Our project was to replace an asphalt roof on a two story cabin (tucked away in a hard to reach location on Lake Charlevoix) with stone coated metal roofing. Steve and his crew were great to work with. They started and completed the project on schedule and as bid. They kept the area around the cabin cleaned up at the end of each day. The completed roof looks outstanding.

He replaced a metal roof that was incorrectly installed (many years ago) with Owens Corning Duration Shingles. Pricing was excellent. Steve kept me informed every day on what was going to happen daily. His crew were HARD working and did a great job on the roof and cleaning up and very polite. The reviews were so good for this company that I almost didn't believe them but they are all true. I had a bad situation when a very expensive home I just purchased turned out to have a much worse roof that the inspector told us. It was the middle of winter and we needed a new roof immediately. Steve came by our house in the evening right before he was leaving town and gave us a bid for a metal roof that looks like a shake roof. The price he quoted was for everything regardless of the shape of the plywood that he might have to replace. He did absolutely everything he promised and the roof looks great. His work crew showed up the next week and did a great job. Steve was there every day to check on the work. It was the most pleasant home improvement project I have ever had. We live out of state so Steve sent us pictures every day of the progress. Overall A+ work.

We had interviewed many roofing companies. We had wanted a metal roof but were shocked at the prices were given. When Steve at Green Horizons showed us what he could do for us and the price he could give us, we were so pleased. The customer service we received from Steve at Green Horizons was second to none! We talked, if not once per day, twice per day. He is great at communicating the status of the job and making sure we were satisfied over the job timeframe. The crew worked fast and the jobsite is cleaned up daily! The price of the steel roof is half that of the competitors. we are extremely happy with our steel roof! Steve is a man of his word!

We needed to hire a roofer to replace an old leaking metal roof on our house and garage. It turned out to be a rather complicated job due to the age of the house and how it had been previously installed. Steve gave an honest and knowledgeable assessment of what needed to be done. Green Horizons did an excellent job. Not only did they do the agreed upon work, but repaired a rotted section we had not previously known about at no extra cost. They also added extra insulation. We now have a dry and warm house. They worked in difficult weather and even stayed late to finish the job. Communications were excellent and we were kept updated by phone and email since we were out of town. Green Horizons far exceeded my expectations. We will be using them again for another job. I definitely recommend them.

Green Horizons was more concerned about providing us with a good working attic and roof and provided good solutions to any problems and concerns of ours. The roof is a remarkable improvement over our previous covering. The even covered the tiny roof to my heat pump, just as if it were a housing roof.

Green Horizon was able to install our roof even during some very snowy weather and did a great job.
