William was very responsive to all of my requests and provided me with advice when needed. He was very professional, and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. I was very happy with the job he did, and would highly recommend his services!

The floors had not been refinished in over 30 years and showed extensive wear and water stains. The new finish looks great! All of the stains were removed by the sanding, and the finish coat had been carefully applied to leave no lap marks. A few boards had needed replacement and this was done with a matching grade and close match in wood grain so that I can't tell where the replacements were. William obtained a custom mixed stain for the new baseboards, and it does an excellent job matching the ones nearby. William quoted a fair price for all work that I asked to be added (handrails, skylights, baseboards) after signing the initial contract. It was in part due to the reasonable price for doing the stairs and floors that I decided to add the other work. The only unforeseen condition requiring an additional charge was a modest $50 for replacement of a small section of damaged sub flooring. The workers were polite and kept a clean work site. Zavala's Floors accommodated a tight window of time between my gaining possession of the house and moving day, which included working on a Saturday. The job was not without challenges, and Zavala's Floors really distinguished itself in its response. The skylight trim was initially too glossy, and after I discussed this with William it was kindly and quickly fixed and it looks better than I could have ever hoped. I recommend Zavala's Floors without hesitation, for good workmanship, professionalism, efficiency, and price. It's rare to find these qualities together.

Zavala floors did excellent work. Every member of the team was courteous and professional. Each team member demonstrated a high level of craftsmanship and we aren't easy to please homeowners. William also assisted us with finding flooring options that fit our taste and budget. And now everyone who enters our home comments on how beautiful the floors are! Thanks William and Team!

I contacted 4 contractors (all from Angie's List) for my flooring project and Zavala's came to be the 2nd lowest bid. I called Zavala's Floor on a Saturday and the owner William came by to do the estimate on the next day. He took the measurement and gave me a price on the spot. On the next day he sent me a written estimate and we scheduled a day to do the work. I called him the day before to confirm and he also sent me a text the night before to gave me an ETA for the crews. The crews started a 8 am on the first day and finished at 8:30 pm. I have to say that they were very hard working guys. The next day they came to put a coat of poly and on the third day they came to put the furniture back. Only one thing I didn't like about them is that before their arrival on the first day, I moved some small furniture in the basement to expedite the process, but when they came back on the third day to put back the furniture, they said they would only put back stuffs they originally brought downstairs. Other than that I am very happy with the work they have done and my floor looks great. I would use them again.

overall project went well, I was able to build a trusting professional relationship with William (the owner), very rarely can you trust someone to complete a job professionally and within budget and with out any rework in this industry. What stood out must to me was the professionalism of his crew/they kept the work place/ house clean and neat by sealing of sections as they demo, sanded, and patched. They are dedicated to get the job done... Side note I was even allowed to part take in demo of my basement/ it felt like a DLY Moment just with out the TV Crew...haha... Great Job only one final project to part wet bar.....

There was significant patching required after a major kitchen renovation. They were flexible with the timing of the work with our contractor, completed all work on time and were respectful of our home ensuring it was clean when the job was completed. I was thankful, yet shocked, at how little the dust was in the home. William spent time and helped us create a custom color to match our new kitchen. Zavala's flooring was professional and skilled at patching and refinishing hardwood floors. I would highly recommend and would use them again for a projection.

Wuilian and his crew are superb craftsmen. We are very impressed with their professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail. They sweat the small stuff, and the finished product shows it. They beautifully matched the new flooring into the existing hardwood floors in adjoining rooms. They were punctual and neat, cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Finished on time too. I would strongly recommend them.

William and his guys were prompt, worked tirelessly and were absolutely great to work with. I just purchased a 1920's farm house and the floors had such a dark stain they looked black. Time was of essence since I wanted the floors refinished before moving and William made me feel confident he would finish on schedule,and he did! I selected colonial maple for the finish and it just looks beautiful with a satin finish. I'm extremely pleased! I will happily recommend William and the guys to anyone looking for a great value for a beautiful result and a professional company. I would work with them again anytime! Oh and William replaced two boards that had some worm damage and you can't tell which boards they are, the match was perfect! :)

Zavala's Floors LLC was OUTSTANDING!!! Wuilian Zavalas and his company are the definition of everything that can be good about small businesses. They quoted us a price and executed the work for the quoted price within our time constraints despite having to adjust to other work we were doing in the house. They worked as late as they needed to and even helped move some heavy items out of the way in order to complete the work. The finished product far exceeded our expectations, particularly in one room where another contractor had told us the floors could not be sanded and refinished. Wuilian handled all of the details personally and with the utmost professionalism. He also connected us with another contractor to finish the drywall and tile in a bathroom we were remodeling and was able to get us a very fair price on this work as well. I have been in the commercial construction management industry for over 14 years and encounter contractors every day so my standards are very high. Zavalas Floors LLC are one of the best I have ever encountered and I would recommend them to anyone.

My initial experience was Zavala's Floors was a great one. The gentleman that came by to conduct the estimate was very professional. He communicated with me during the estimate and listened to all of my problem areas. I felt that they were very interested in obtaining my business and even ensured that an electronic estimate would be e-mailed by the end of the day. Any company can give estimates, but as a potential customer, you want to feel as if you were "listened to" and they did exactly that.

William Zavala and his crew did an outstanding job refinishing all of the hardwood in our home. We couldn't be happier with our selection of contractors and are extremely pleased with William's incredible attention to detail. I would not hesitate to use him again and have recommended him to numerous friends.

The workers were timely and worked diligently to complete the work. Two workers repaired drywall that had been installed in an area where stone from our fireplace had been removed.

We contacted three companies for estimates to install hardwoods. William was very quick to respond and was able to provide an estimate on Monday morning after scheduling it on Saturday. William was very punctual and professional, arriving right on time. The estimate he provided was very competitive, but we ultimately decided to work with another company. The decision was tough, however, and I would definitely seek out Zavala's in the future.

It took two full days and a half day to complete job. everyone came early in the morning as planned and worked a full day. All work was done with great care and the result is beautiful!

The workers worked very hard and went the extra mile to meet our tight deadline. Everyone who worked on our floors was friendly, professional and very hard working.

I had obtained bids from several painting companies, and all of them had come in pretty high and with a long lead time in terms of when the work could be done. Then I contacted Mr. Zavala, who had mentioned to me that his firm also offers painting as one of its services. His company's name suggests that flooring work is all they do, which is why I hadn't contacted him earlier. When I did, Mr. Z. sent his paint estimator by, and not long after, we agreed to have them do the work. The company seems to be busy, but they were able to schedule the job within one week. I had been told by another contractor that it would take 6 days to complete the job, but Mr. Zavala's 5-man crew showed up on Saturday morning, and by late Sunday afternoon -- thanks to the addition of one more person -- everything was done. The team was very professional, and was a model of efficiency, moving swiftly, but carefully throughout the house. They repaired a couple of sheetrock problems I had, did a lot of caulking, prepped all walls and carefully filled in nail pops and other areas of concern -- including repair of window frames that had been removed and replaced to spray in foam insulation. All ceilings were repainted, as well as all trim and all walls. The crew took one break each day for lunch, but apart from that everyone was very focused on the task at hand. The crew even helped me with a couple of special requests to move furniture, to apply silicone "caulk" on our granite countertop and to fill holes in some wood carpentry in the basement and kitchen. A couple members of the team came back on Monday morning to do some handyman-type installation of bathroom fixtures and lighting, and to do a few touch-ups that my wife had noticed. My wife and I were really pleased by the quality of the work, and the speed by which the crew was in and out of our house. Start to finish, it was a job very, very well done. Kudos to Mr. Zavala and his team.

After receiving a very reasonable estimate from Zavala's, I scheduled a date to start the initial work. The initial work included the installation of hardwood flooring in a kitchen. After completing the installation of the new wood. Zavala's came back and finished the new hardwood flooring to match existing flooring in an adjoining dining room as well as refinishing the hardwood floor in the dining room at the same time. I would highly recommend Zavala's. Their estimate was very reasonable. They started the work promptly at the agreed upon time and on the agreed upon dates. I am planning to have them come back in the near future to install new quarterround in my living room, dining room and hall. I was very pleased with my experience so far.

What a great experience! The floors look absolutely beautiful, and the workers were fast, skilled and very professional. We have already contacted them concerning another job. The owner, Willuim Zavala, was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and a skilled craftsman. His crew was a reflection of his talents.

When we left for the beach, the floor had a 20-year-old sun-faded look. When we returned, we were greeted with what seemed to be a brand new floor. It really looks super. We had a couple of questions related to the work, and William stopped by right away to discuss it. He also offered to make a couple of adjustments whenever it would be convenient. We are very happy with the new look. William did a great job for a very fair price, and left everything clean and almost completely dust free. The floors, walls and counters do not look as if there was any dust kicked up by the work. The only thing we noticed is how much nicer our house looked when we returned. We are truly very pleased with William's work. We would certainly recommend him very highly.

William is very professional. Helpful in explaining details or why we would or would not want to do certain things. Job was handled well.

As I'm sitting in my sunroom looking at my magnificent hardwood floors, I can't find the right words to describe how thrilled I am with William Zavala from Zavala's floors. Mr. Zavala is a modern craftsman with age old skills. Our hardwoods look better today than they did when we built the house in 1992. Accompanied by his crew, who were courteous, punctual, expedient and extremely careful, Mr. Zavala transformed four rooms of our old, stained, warped floors into beautiful coffee colored hardwoods that now shine like a basketball court, a perfect match for our new second floor hardwoods. The obscured old wood grain was suddenly alive and beautiful. All this was done in record time as to not inconvenience our lives. The moment I realized his craftsmanship and keen eye was when he pointed out a flaw in one of our four floors twice, re-sanding the floors each time until the marks were gone. I had not noticed the flaws and they would have gone unnoticed however, Mr. Zavala worked diligently, putting in the extra time to make the floors perfect. He also saved us from replacing a few warped boards by carefully sanding them so that the finished product looked no different from the other boards. Mr. Zavala's prices were extremely reasonable and there were no hidden surprises. You will not be disappointed; you'll see your floors come to life. William Zavala is amazing. Zavala's Flooring installed 3/4" thick solid bamboo flooring in our great room. nail down no glue. looks amazing. can't see any flaws.... beat all other co.s on politeness, punctuality, and the job itself was 5 star. So happy had them come back and install a purple heart engineered hardwood in bedroom; nail down no glue.... boy did they rock on that job. Guys at lumber liquidators warned us to use a real pro for that wood and Zavala Flooring stepped up bigtime. It looks GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Is there a 10 star rating?

It was very uneventful. The guys came in, gave some samples, explained what he could do and follows up two days later with an estimate. I ended up using a handyman. I had a couple of estimates from flooring companies and I found all the estimate to be competitive.

They did a good job. Their pricing was reasonable compared to the other places. The only thing after was I called them back to touch up because some of the pain got chipped off on the stairs. They were reasonable and had a good attitude. They were pleasant to work with.

William did a fantastic job from start to finish. Service was prompt, professional and of very high quality. The floors look brand new!
