Description of Work: Thompson Creek has installed windows and doors and gutters for me over a ten year period. They are great! Excellent products, excellent services, and super nice people. Their "Lifetime Guarantee" is for real. For example, they installed never-clog gutters for me which, of course, get gummed up eventually so every couple of years, I call and they come out promptly and clean the gutters - at no charge! Wonderful company.

Description of Work: They removed my old sliding glass door and replaced with a new one. One guy did the entire job by himself. It looks fantastic and is guaranteed for life, even the screen door.

Description of Work: Replaced a bump out window over sink and two side windows. Looks great! Team was very professional. There was a kitchen renovation in progress. Both teams were in the same space at the same time. They all worked together well. Very courteous to each other.

Description of Work: I met them at exactly the time they said the'd be there. A supervisor and two young carpenters. The door showed up a few minutes later... They checked every measurement BEFORE they started dismantling the existing door. They did a very professional job. Cleaned up, vacuumed the floor and were complete in about 4 hours. And we now have a bright entry due to the new very glassy door and side lights.

Description of Work: I have used Thompson Creek for new windows four separate times in the last 3-4 years trying to replace all my windows. This last time was to replace one bay window in the kitchen which meant a larger window sill with frames and roofing were involved. Everything went perfect as it has in the past. My only complaint this time was that I had understood the salesman to say the wood involved would be primed, ready to paint. The outside frame itself was primed but not the inside frame which was the approximately 12" deep window sill with sides and top. Maybe I misunderstood or he didn't clarify which wood would be primed. But I am completely satisfied with the windows and the work was done very professionally, and all appointment times were right on schedule.

Description of Work: Replaced 10 windows, 9 upstairs, 1 downstairs. 2 person job. They worked efficiently and professionally. Someone else from Thompson Creek showed up late in the day and inspected the work. He found a couple of small nicks on the window closure latch (ones I had to really look hard to find). They replaced them, cleaned all the windows and did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. We have found nothing left behind.

Description of Work: This is the second time I've used them. The first was for gutters which are superior to any others around. For this job they removed and replaced a door and sidelight from the back of my home. The men were on time, very professional and did an outstanding job. Although I think Thompson Creek is a little overpriced because of the superior product, work ethics and warranty I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again if needed.

Description of Work: We replaced a picture window in the family room. Several years ago, we replaced all windows in the house using double pane windows from another provider. The family room window had lost the seal between the two panes of glass, resulting initially in fogging and finally in the growth of mildew so we decided it was time to replace that window. We were pleased first, that Thompson Creek was willing to come out to replace a single window, second with the level of attention this small project received, and third that we got no hard sell to replace other windows as well. The project started with a measurement of the window and discussion of one installation issue and how the installers would get around that issue. The window was done quickly and the installers were prompt in getting the window completed. Within 20 minutes of the completion, an inspector arrived and actually found a small flaw in the calking we had overlooked. He called the installers back to fix the flaw and we were done. All in all, I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone we worked with and would recommend this company.

Description of Work: Replaced an aging siding glass patio door. After initial visit which included measuring and cost estimate, Thompson Creek people provided us with an installation date. On the installation day, we were notified prior to the crew's arrival time. They arrived on time, did the required work and cleaned the area prior to their departure.

Description of Work: Replaced one horizontal slider window. Clad with aluminum two strake boards which would never hold paint. They arrived when they said they would and completed the work ahead of schedule and the results are great. I used them because they had replaced all the other windows in the house about ten years ago and they are still extremely good.

Description of Work: Thompson Creek arranged to install new gutters on my home. The first appointment with them was to decide where the gutters would go and to take some measurements. A contractor came on another day and did final measurements and cut gutter pieces to size and put them in my backyard. The installers came promptly and took about six hours to remove the old gutters and install the new ones. They left pieces of roofing material all over my yard and driveway and a pile of ten nails on my driveway.

Description of Work: Replaced all original windows (19) two sliding glass doors, front door side lights, and storm door. Totally AWESOME! Looks great, works great, double life-time warranty is great.

Description of Work: Excellent windows, look great. Had a bad experience with the salesman not knowing the company's new policy. Basically, I asked if I could remove the old windows myself in return for a lower install price. The salesman said yes and wrote it into my contract. Then the company tried to reverse that. I had to do a lot of fighting to get my way but I got what I wanted in the end. Soured me on the whole process. I think I will do it all myself next time.

Description of Work: Thompson creek installed a front door in my home, the only reason I gave them a B is because I the price was a little bit excessive. also I was told by the salesman that I would get a peep hole on the door but the salesperson did not write in the contract I did not get the peep hole. when I called the company to let them know about the mistake, the representative told me that because it was not on the contract they would have to charge me. I told the representative "thank you but no, I was not going to pay for something I thought it come with the product I bought", they did not do anything to correct the issue.

Description of Work: It went surprisingly well. I was anxious, they were confident and they did an excellent job all around from stepping in the door to out after the windows were installed. The greatest part was watching the installation; it was like watching a synchronize dance team! There was very little talking between the two installers, they knew each others next move and responded to the other as if they were one. I was truly impressed. I live in a condo, the new siding and roof has just been completed on the complex. Thompson Creek installed 8 windows and you would never know that they had been here except for the gorgeous window. Every particle was cleaned up from the floors and the grounds and the window were left sparkling. From the outside...perfection, from the inside perfect again. My windows are just quality all around, I looked at other installations in the complex, asked questions, total satisfaction with the job and Thompson Creek. My neighbors love my windows too, some have commented to me that they wished they had not gone with less expensive companies. You get what you pay for! And my warranty is transferable. The window are all number, so if they break, I call the company, tell which window and they bring it out, no measuring all over again. I am a VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THOMPSON CREEK. More than worth the money.

Description of Work: Thompson Creek provided excellent service. However after the windows were installed, I realized that the frames were too thick for my tastes. I asked for a refund and Thompson Creek agreed to do so provided that I they obtain the windows back without any defects. I also had to provide them a certified letter within 30 days of the service, and I have 90 days to find another window company and remove their windows. Their 30-day satisfaction guarantee program is great! However, I'm still in the process of getting my money back because I have not replaced their windows yet. Thompson Creek was very responsive to my phone calls and emails. I would still consider using this company for other products. Lesson learned - go to a showroom after a window rep visits your home and see how the window looks in its entirety. It makes a difference.
