they arrived on time and immediately went to work. One of the windows was the wrong size so they went back to the factory and replaced it. All windows were replaced in one day. Cleanup afterwards was excellent.

We decided to go with another firm that provided a much more reasonable quote - one that reflected what market research dictated it should cost in our area.

Excellent, 1st They held the same price for a year. So I had money for 2nd floor but not the complete house. Year later I got the first floor done, with no increase. Windows made locally, you can watch yours being made. Workmanship was excellent, with 2 followup inspection done within 1/2 hr of completion. Difference in heating, dry good, Noticed improvement in cooling ,excellent. NOISE REDUCTION, we live in flight path of BWI. Hugh noise reduction noticed.

Both jobs were done to our satisfaction. The window installation was amazing. There was a detail measurement. At installation day the crew was on time and moved professionally placing windows and removing windows in a planned pattern. The bay window was difficult because of the size. That was done and made to look easy. There were two supports left from the old window. Removal would create two holes in the siding. The installer left them there and covered them so they would match the siding. Note new window hangs rather than suspended from the bottom. We really did notice a difference in the heating / cooling in the house.

It was the best experience I have had with a home improvement service. I was especially awed by the work done on a window ledge in my bathroom. No damage came to the vintage tiles. Angie's List had them at the top of the category of windows. I can now jhappily join the legion of individuals who have chosen Thompson Creek.

Everything went well. From initial survey to final installation. They always arrived with the scheduled windows and work was done efficiently and very professionally. I could not haveasked for better.

The process went extremely well. They arrived on time and were professional and very courteous (and not just the team leader--all of them). They were very focused (each team member knew what they needed to be doing) and got the job done in good time and even did a great job on clean-up, which was appreciated because there are children in the neighborhood. Overall we were very pleased with Thompson Creek--even the office personnel were cheerful, helpful and courteous (Karen)!!

The workmanship is excellent. The high quality siding looks great and it's insulation has lowered our heating bills.

Had 10 windows replaced. In order to save money i wanted to remove the old windows myself which meant that they could not measure for new ones until all of them were removed. That meant i had to live with no windows for weeks while the new ones were being made. I covered them with plywood and plastic. but, the new windows were installed in one day, with brand new aluminum flashing that looks great. They are far more efficient than the old metal casement windows that were there. Its been a couple of years now and on really cold nights the vinyl frame does get cold. Even with the window closed and locked i can feel a little bit of air movement. Not sure if its becaue of the slider trype of window or if its just how vinyl is. My new casement windows are very airtight though. They're expensive and they have a limited color choice but overall they seem to work.

Window installation went smoothly. One sliding door installation got delayed because they discovered some rotted wood. I had to get that repaired before they could proceed. They worked with me to reschedule the installation. I am pleased with their products.

They sent someone out right away. I was most impressed with the tradesman that came and performed the work: Mr. Chambers. He is a consummate professional and is extremely knowledgeable about his trade. In the time of disposable products and disposable companies, this was very refreshing. I am a professional engineer, and he showed me more than a few new things. He was also careful to not wake my sleeping son.

It went well, they did a great job! They cleaned up after they were done. They were quick and also very informative.

Overall, from the consult to the installation, it went well. The representative, Brian, arrived on time. He was quite professional and courteous. He explained to me all of the details about their windows and how they compare to others. I was impressed at the windows and how efficient they appear to be. At the time, Thompson was running a promotion and I was able to have gutters installed due to the money I was saving from the installation of the windows. Phil Dickerson, who came to measure the windows and gutters was friendly, professional and quite efficient. The installers arrived on time and were friendly and professional. They showed me how the previous windows were installed incorrectly and they corrected the problem with the windows that I did not replace. The installer told me that should I need to caulk in a few years, to contact Thompson Creek so that it can be done properly. I had used an incorrect type of caulking which caused the installer to have a difficult time removing it. When they were done, they cleaned up sufficiently.

We were pleased with the installation process and results.

The crew worked well and did an excellent job with the doors and surrounding trim. A job well done.

Very expensive project. Windows installation did not meet our expectations. House is drafty throughout the entire home, despite claims of superior thermal/cooling performance and functionality. Energy bills are outrageous both summer and winter. I recommend that Thompson Creek perform an energy audit. Our claims of poor product quality and installation will be validated. Very disappointed customers.

Bad Experience! Waste of time! Not recommended! I purchased an exterior door from TC and the door was installed one month later. The door was installed out-of-square and rubbed the threshold. The door was adjusted the next day by bending the jamb, but it still was not right. One month later TC came back to remove and reinstall the door again. This time the door frame was racked with a gap in the weatherstripping, and still rubbed on the threshold. I requested a refund, but then agreed to give TC another chance. Six weeks later TC came back to replace the door, but they had ordered and brought the wrong door. Four weeks later on the day before the scheduled installation, TC called to inform me that they forgot to order the door. Again, I asked for a refund. Six weeks later I received a partial refund, then two weeks after that I received the rest of the refund. Throughout the process, Thompson Creek would not address the existing loose framing which they secured the door to. They had no framing materials on the truck. Either the door thresholds were defective or they were misaligned during the install (sloped inwards). They sent different installers every time. The installers were either not well trained or not given adequate material, time, or background information. Caulk and trim wrap were installed differently each time. The door frame was not air sealed and the exterior urethane caulk smelled toxic for weeks inside. The entire process took 6 ½ months. I replaced the framing and installed a new door myself for 1/3 the price of TC. My installation is square and even with no rubs and no air leaks. Even though everyone was friendly, hiring Thompson Creek cost me a lot of time.

They have very professional salespeople and very professional installers and a good product.

The jobs went very well! Everyone was on time and did an excellent job cleaning up! They came out to take measurements, which was followed a couple of weeks later. The windows were made at their factory in Maryland! Everything was a perfect fit!!! They explained each step of the installation process. Customer service was excellent! Very accommodating! When they finish my entry door, I can say house by Thompson Creek! Not to mention the energy savings that I have seen!!! Highly recommended!

Okay the windows are standard grade

The work was done surprisingly quickly and efficiently. The doors were the originals on our house, built in the early 1960's and had become a nuisance that no longer kept out the cold. The new doors are a world apart from the old ones and so much more efficient. Thompson Creek's price was competitive for the market and their work superior.
