Description of Work: Thompson Creek took down our old gutters and installed new gutters on our townhouse with their own design high-back, 6" trough and perforated gutter hood. We got estimates from two other companies which were less expensive, but we liked the design and sturdiness of the Thompson Creek product the best. It also comes with a double-lifetime guarantee, which means the guarantee transfers to the new owners if you sell your house. The workers were fast, professional and efficient, and left the grounds pristine, as you would expect. The only thing you may not like is that you have to listen to their sales spiel when they come to give you an estimate. But I am very happy with their product and service.

The windows and doors are still functioning as promised and we have had no problems with them at all. In fact, as soon as we save the money, we would like to have the rest of the windows in our home replaced by Thompson Creek. We are VERY happy with this company and its products! Our house feels much more comfortable, without feeling too warm in summer or too cold in winter. I no longer feel I have to wear multiple (as in 4 or more) layers of clothing in the winter time, and our energy bills reflect that. I would recommend this company without reservation.

Description of Work: We had Thompson Creek put in new windows several years ago and because the service and the product was outstanding then, we decided to hire them to replace a side door. We had a security storm door in place and were assured that it could be re-affixed with some adjustment. Unfortunately, because the size of the new door was significantly different, the old security storm door is no longer viable. Costs for a replacement security storm door (which Thompson Creek does not provide) have ranged from $1500 to $2200. We feel that the sales representative and the man who came to do the final measurements were less than forthcoming about the likely additional cost for a new storm door. While the new Thompson Creek door is a good one -- well installed -- we didn't bargain for the additional expense, the time it takes to acquire a new one, and frankly feel mislead.

Description of Work: Replaced gutters and downspouts, new sliding glass door, new front and screen door, clad wood windows exterior with Aluminum. They got the work done in two days, and I am very happy with the results.

Description of Work: We have been living in our home for about 5 years. It was bought as a foreclosure and a fix-it-upper. We knew at the time of purchase a full-set of windows would be one of renovation projects. This year we were finally in a position to get the work done, and after a few quotes were sold on Thompson Creek. | |The sales representative that initially came did an excellent job with presenting the pros-cons of their product vs. competitors. He took his time to answer all questions, had samples to demonstrate operation and was very knowledgeable with the entire product line. The key selling point was a single-stop shop for window fabrication, installation and warranty work. | |The work was scheduled for June 2014 and started on time. The team was very respectful of our home during the entire installation. They had to get into every room and were careful to ensure our belongings were protected with tarps and the like. I would say they left our house in cleaner condition than when they arrived, vacuuming and picking up after themselves. | |The old window removal was remarkably quick, done in just a few hours. The new windows and sliding glass door were all quickly installed, including caulking and molding all the needed custom aluminum caps on-site to form fit to our home. In total, 18 windows and a sliding glass door, done in one 11 hour work-day by 4 professionals. | |It has now been 5 months since the install, and we are very happy with our new windows and door. There was a noticeable improvement in the temperature of our home during the hot summer months. The daily fluctuations were significantly less, nights were warmer and days were cooler. Description of Work: I have used Thompson Creek for new windows four separate times in the last 3-4 years trying to replace all my windows. This last time was to replace one bay window in the kitchen which meant a larger window sill with frames and roofing were involved. Everything went perfect as it has in the past. My only complaint this time was that I had understood the salesman to say the wood involved would be primed, ready to paint. The outside frame itself was primed but not the inside frame which was the approximately 12" deep window sill with sides and top. Maybe I misunderstood or he didn't clarify which wood would be primed. But I am completely satisfied with the windows and the work was done very professionally, and all appointment times were right on schedule.

Description of Work: Replaced sliding glass door - A++ for professionalism, attention to details, efficiency and cleanup; and replaced old gutters & downspouts with new system including covers. Thompson Creek does not advertise that they use subcontractors for gutter work. The installation team for gutters was inefficient, unprofessional, used dangerous ladder practices, and installed 3 of 4 downspouts crooked. Very unimpressed. However, my detailed observations and feedback to the company resulted in a callback from an executive (who gave me his personal cell number if I had any more questions or issues), and a far superior second subcontract team who arrived with an on-site supervisor and fixed all the problems I'd identified, to my satisfaction, within 72 hours (called Thursday, they came Monday). A+ on follow-up responsiveness and resolution.
