We had water damage in the basement of our home as a result of Hurricane Sandy.  Although we have a reputable home insurance company (USAA), Puroclean was the only company we contacted that was willing to work with our insurance company so that we only had to pay the deductible up-front.  The project team leader, Aaron, even spoke with our insurance adjuster on the phone before the work commenced.  All the competitors that we called indicated that because of the volume of claims related to the storm, we would have to pay the entire fee up front and then try to collect from our insurance company later.

The owner, Ted, has been very professional to deal with as have all his employees.  They came promptly at the time we agreed to and even threw in several days use of an air scrubber at no extra charge as a precaution because we have a small child in the house.  Since we had never experienced a flooded basement before, we did not know what to expect but the team worked quickly and efficiently to remove all the water and damaged drywall from our house, set up the airmovers and dehumidifiers, and apply the anti-microbial agent to help prevent mold growth.  Aaron did a great job of explaining the scope of the job and gave us an estimate before they started the work.  The staff seemed very thorough in identifying all the areas of the basement which were affected by the water, even pointing out to my husband where some of the drywall they removed had mold growth.  Aaron came back every day to check on the basement and make sure that it was drying out appropriately.  There was one area of drywall which did not need to be removed but was damaged by the remediation team when they were removing sections of damp drywall.  After we mentioned this to Aaron, he returned within a few days to repair the affected area damaged by his team.

All in all, we are very happy with the services provided by Puroclean and how they have patiently dealt with our insurance company's claims process to minimize out of pocket costs for us.  We would highly recommend them.

When my basement flooded I called Ted Porter and PuroClean office and they handled the situation like true professionals. They were careful and respectful of my things and they worked quickly. They were excellent! I have never come into contact with a service industry that was so helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.
