The service was straightforward indicating the provider has good business sense and in addition, a good eye for art work. The delivery period was reasonable and timely.

I bought a coupon through Angie's List and drove to Chesapeake Framing Co. with a photograph that I wanted framed. The folks there treated me with such respect and yet made me feel right at home. I think they knew I wasn't 100% sure what I needed but they guided me to the right decision for framing / matting and at no point did I feel as if they were trying to take advantage of me and/or inflate the price. They asked me about where I planned to hang it, what kind of wall color, was it a centerpiece, etc... and guided me to a decision I was very comfortable with and ended up looking great. They gave me a very quick timeframe for completing the job and were still able to complete it sooner than expected. I had gotten a few things in my house framed but would typically take them out of state (NJ) because custom framing in the DC area always seemed so expensive. Chesapeake has made me a believer. Top Quality Service, Speedy Delivery, Expert Advice, but what reasonated most with me was there friendly staff. I felt like part of the family. Great people to work with and I'm excited to work with them again.

The staff was very helpful with suggestions for the framing and matting of the watercolor.

I've been using Chesapeake Framing for years. They are expensive but it is good value because they do such a great job. I think the selection might have been a bit larger in their old location but they still have a good selection. I have tried other framing shops but no one has come close to Chesapeake Framing for quality.

This was the best frame shop experience I've ever had. They are extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and professional. They offer great advice and competitive pricing.

The people were terrific, but I thought they were quite expensive for the size of the prints framed, even with a less expensive frame. Quality of their work though is very good.

Very good suggestions to enhance the piece. Easy to work with and know what they're doing. Professional framing. an Angie's coupon is what prompted me to go there, but I would definitely go back at full price for any framing work and recommend them to anyone in need of framing work.

A lovely shop in Kensington, MD where I took a painting my daughter had given me a few years ago. The woman who helped me was amazing. I had never done this before and she was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She quickly pulled quite a few frame corners from the racks and then, with her assistance, I chose the one I liked the best. We kept the mat that was already on it, as I believe she could tell I did not have a lot of extra money to spend. (I was using a Big Deal coupon I had purchased.) She said they would cut the mat down a little as it was a bit damaged on the edges and also use a good glass that would keep the painting from fading over the years. I was surprised when I received a call that it had been completed so quickly. When I picked it up, it had cardboard corners on it and it was wrapped in heavy plastic. I realized after I dug through my toolbox for a good nail to hang it with that it already had the hardware to frame it attached to the metal hanging string. They thought of everything. I am very pleased and impressed and know I will enjoy this painting for a long, long time.

It was not clear to me was that $150 would be deducted from the cost of framing. I thought I could get something framed for up to $150. I told them up front the print cost me $15. They suggested all kinds of wonderful (and expensive) mats, glass and frame materials. Then when I had fallen in love with what they suggested, they added it up and the job came to $570 (before the $150 was deducted) to frame the $15 print. I had fallen in love with what they suggested but was in total shock at the price, perhaps because it's several years since I've had anything framed and don't know what the charges are like now. Then I had to start backpedaling and only got the job down to $450 before the $150 deduction meaning I paid about $300. I love the end result but I think they should have suggested a framing approach that was more in line with my print. If their objective was to sell a big job by and quot;giving a $150 discountand quot;, they succeeded. (Disclaimer: Since I went to their location to have them look at the print before paying the $150, I could have backed out before agreeing to the job.)

The staff suggested suitable frames, and when asked, offered recommendations.

It was great. They were quick and helpful. They did a nice job and I got to pick out a good frame for the picture. It was also done early compared to the estimate.

It came out very well. They were very friendly. I was sick and kept sneezing and they were very forgiving. They gave me good advice. They did a nice job framing the pieces. They're very technically skilled; the frames came out perfectly. I had to pay an additional amount because I didn't read the fine print. I was assuming that I could combine the coupons then it turns out I couldn't. So I had to frame 3 separate pieces. It was a little more pricey than I thought. I would say that they are probably one of the best framing companies in the area. They're sort of a hidden gem and they have great staff.

All went well and I was happy with the finished product. I was surprised, however, that the person who worked with me did not offer more suggestions as to matting and framing - I pretty much asked to try this or that. I thought the cost a bit high but, since I did not shop around, I can't be certain. (Is not a large, fancy frame.) I might use them again, especially if there were another coupon.

After purchasing a big deal, I called to find out if I needed an appointment. The person on the phone was very friendly and said I did not. When I showed up, I was helped immediately. The person helped in picking out frames, matting and glass and had a number of suggestions for me along the way. I do not often get things framed and I found it to be very helpful. They told me the items would be ready in about 2 weeks and called me well within that time to let me know that they were ready. When I picked them up, I once again got helped immediately. Both times I was at the shop, there were other customers there as well but someone from the back came out to serve me which I found to be very nice. The items were done exactly as I had contracted for and I have received compliments on how good they look. Even though it's not particularly close to where I live, I would return again to get another item framed.

The Chesapeake Framing Company was excellent! They payed great attention to detail, listened to our needs, and layed out three excellent frames. Their customer service was above-and-beyond and they really showed that they cared about their customers. Their personalized service and and quot;no-rush, let's get this rightand quot; attitude was refreshing. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them again for our future framing needs.

They were very professional and very detail oriented. Spent a good deal of time helping me choose just the right frame and just the right matting for two separate pieces. The one fillet that was perfect for one picture was no longer available from their normal distributor. They located it somewhere else for me and we waited a couple of weeks for it to arrive. They then did the framing and that special piece made the difference. I would definitely use them again and again.

Chesapeake does an excellent job. I had two items framed, with 2 Angie's coupons. They are very artistic/creative and make good suggestions, but never overbearing- they follow your lead on what you want. I've had many things framed there over the years and I've always been pleased. Framing here and everywhere is expensive, so the coupons were a huge help!

All went well. It was more expensive than I expected - so I was really glad for the Big Deal.

They had an excellent choice of frames and even offered to order more samples expressed at their own expense. I noticed that many local artists used them. They were friendly, professional and finished on time.
