The staff at Chesapeake Framing were knowledgeable, professional, clear, and had excellent suggestions about how to frame the two pieces of artwork I brought in. The prices are fair, and with the Angie's coupon I was happy with how much I saved. The work was performed in a timely manner, and they called me promptly when the work was completed. I made a 50% deposit, which also seemed fair; with the balance paid at pick up. The artwork was expertly framed and looks great!

I brought the print in, which was already matted. The salesperson offered various frame samples and helped me make a selection. She was very helpful. It took a couple of weeks for the frame to be completed, and I'm very happy with it.

The framer helped steer me toward a more minimalist frame for a travel poster, which helped keep costs down, and helped select a frame that was more worthy of the museum poster I'd been coveting for a long time. Overall, I spent about what I wanted to and got expert opinion that resulted in something more pleasing than I would have selected on my own.

Okay. They did a nice job, and did it on a tight schedule (before Christmas) which was great. However, they did not have the frame style I wanted (and this needed to be done by Christmas); and I found their prices incredibly expensive... I think the cost was $250 PER picture (each one meansures ~15 x24) ... or perhaps I am just not familiar with the prices of framing?

The result is lovely. I plan to use them often since I collect posters. I will also use them for other frame jobs I found them through a special deal on Angie's list.

I bought $150 worth of framing for $67, knowing nothing about how much it costs to frame things. I wanted a 5 ft long, 1.5 high antique hand-painted batik fabric print framed as a surprise for my husband's birthday. The staff were wonderful. They patiently showed me all kinds of options, made excellent suggestions, and helped me decide which items to spend on (the silk matt) and which to save on (the undermatt- the quarter-inch showing could be cardboard). They helped me whittle down the price a bit by choice of glass vs. plexi-glass and found the perfect frame. They let me take all the time I needed. While it was more expensive than I had planned, it turned out spectacularly well. My husband absolutely loved it and said that they had made all the right recommendations. The staff clearly loves art and has a great sense of design. I would go there again.

Beautiful frames of all types and price ranges. Knowledgable staff and very helpful. Be sure to say what price range you want the framing to be within, otherwise you may select something cost $300 or more very easily!

Relatively limited range of frames available

It went well with The Chesapeake Framing . I was very pleased with the result. They kept me informed when there was a problem with the project. They're very nice people, very smart and they have good ideas for framing things.

They were super - we were framing a piece of art done my child. They were aware of our budget and helped us work within that. It was done before their estimated time and it came out beautifully. M

The framing came out really nice. I was disapointed however in the customer service and the price. I walked into the store and was made to wait for a really long time while the person in the store chatted with the current customer in a way the completely ignored the fact that I was waiting for my turn. After the really long wait I was told that even though my coupon covered $150 worth of frame that there was no way that she could properly frame my poster for less then $300 total. The frame came out really nice but I would not use them again.

Pam chose a BEAUTIFUL frame for my oil painting on canvas and I am really excited to see how it will look in my house!-

I had a fine experience with them. I had spent more than the $ 60 deal, it was significantly more $ 600 for the three pieces. They took the time to make sure that the frame was done well and they spent probably about two hours working with it.

Excellent frame shop. Creative suggestions and interested in finding what would work artistically and to fit the budget. I have returned to them to have another piece done.

The entire process went spectacularly well! We took the pictures to the framing shop, where an expert (believe me!) helped us select suitable mats, glass, and frames for each picture. This took considerable time, as many options are available. We then paid a portion of the cost, balance due upon completion. Chesapeake Framing has done work for us in the past with great success. We couldn't be more pleased.

They have a huge selection of high quality frames to choose from and we received a lot of help choosing the right one. This is the kind of place you go with your most treasured item as the prices are not low, but reasonable for the level of service and quality you get in return

The frame was done very well. The Chesapeake Framing was very helpful. I thought the staff person was very helpful with helping me find an appropriate frame and really gave a lot of individualized service.

The woman was no-pressure, suggesting some things for the framing but not pushing when I wanted something different. Everyone there seemed friendly and capable. All the framing turned out very nicely, just as I wanted it. I would definitely use them again (although I don't need many things to be framed so it may be a few years before I go back). I have already recommended them to a friend. I don't know what to say about the prices. All framing is expensive to me, but I want the works (original works of art) to be properly framed, with museum glass and acid-free mats, so I don't really care how much it costs as long as it is done well. I did not compare prices with other framers for these works, since I had bought an Angie's List big deal for part of the cost and so was committed to using this company.

Prints were beautifully double matted and framed. They spent a lot of time with me showing me different framing and matting options. Quality workmanship. Will definitely use them again!
