The staff was friendly and very skilled in helping us select an appropriate frame in each of our three visits. Prices are completely fair and no haggling was required. We highly recommend this shop!

The assistant was very helpful to us in selecting the appropriate frame. The time-frame for completion of the framing was explained clearly, and we received a phone call as soon as the painting was ready. All staff members were very pleasant and professional.

Went to store with material to be framed. Had to wait long time for someone to wait on us. One person just sat an looked at us - did not even say and quot;someone will be with you in a moment.and quot; When finally describing framing work to be done all suggestions did not follow the request and were unappropriate. Constantly tried to drive the price up. Very poor attitude. Did not give the work to Chesapeake Framing. Went someplace else and had work done.

I have used Chesapeake Framing Company for several years. They do a great job in helping select moldings, glass, and mattes Once selections are made, they perform quality workmanship. They also have packaged and shipped artwork to exhibitions for me.

I had a large photo of my wife's horse framed for Christmas. It is our only large photo of this horse that died 2 years ago so I needed it taken good care of. They were absolutely wonderful. They listened to my ideas for the style and coloring of the frame and matting and helped me choose the perfect set. When I went to pick it up, I could tell they were as excited about how well it came out as I was! I will use them over and over again. Wonderful friendly service and a top quality frame job.

We had a beautiful watercolor of our house and wanted to hang it in our living room before Christmas. Chesapeake Framing did a fantastic job and recommending frame and mat type. Turn around time was quick and overall quality was outstanding. We will be using them again for future framing needs.

I purchased the Angie's List deals for framing services from Chesapeake Framing. I had 5 original prints/paintings that I wanted to have professionally framed and was extremely happy with the quality of service and worksmanship. Kelly assisted me with the mat and frame selections and I couldn't be happier with the way the finished products came out. The shop has a wide selection of framing options and it was invaluable to have someone so knowledgeable to work with to come up with the perfect unique combination for each piece. I broght the work in just a few weeks before Christmas and wasn't expecting to get them back before the new year, but they turned around the order promptly, as promised, and we got them back in time for the holidays.

I had several canvases that I wanted to put back on the wood frame. I bought a coupon for framing from Chesapeake and took in the canvases. I was quoted a price in excess of the $150 for just one canvas. As I had already purchased the coupon I had one canvas done by Chesapeake. I then took the remaining 3 canvases to another local framing shop, where they were completed at a cheaper price (about the same as the cost at Chesapeake when factoring in the coupon). Additionally the other shop finished the framing in about 2 weeks prior to Chesapeake. Overall I cannot identify any differences in quality in the finished product, but there are other framing stores in the area that can complete your project faster at a lower cost.

The woman who helped me was very nice. During the process of choosing mats and frames she made useful suggestions but also listened to what I wanted. I decided to use museum glass which makes it more expensive but the finished art looks much nicer because there is no glare, almost as if there is no glass at all. The prices are reasonable but it's always a surprise to me how much framing costs. I would return for future work because they did a beautiful job and they made a special effort to complete the work in time for the holidays even though they were very busy.

I had been on the lookout for a coupon for Chesapeake's services, as I know that they're well-respected by both your typical consumer and artists. (Kelly?) helped me select the materials and the results are stunning. I would highly recommend their services.

I had a piece that developed a problem several years after they framed it. I took it in and they repaired it quickly and free of charge. I won't hesitate to use their service again.

The person who assisted me in designing the framing was very patient and had good suggestions. I went during the week for the initial design, which is key if you have several pieces and are not sure what you want as there can be long waits on the weekend. When I went to pick up the pieces, one of them had been framed with the wrong frame due to a transposing error by the person who initially assisted me. Of course they immediately said they would redo it and apologized for the error. I had no issue with that error as mistakes happen, but I do not live close so I would have to make the trip again. When I got home, however, I noticed that the two wooden frames for the dignitary photos were both done very poorly. Each one, on one side, had a break in the wooden frame where they clearly used two pieces of framing along one side. When I went to pick up the other item, I took the 2 wooden frames back and they did redo them both and now they look great. All in all I thought the work was done well and the shop is very professional and is willing to correct their errors. However, I was irritated to have to make two return trips to the shop due to their errors, especially because I had to go on weekends and wait in line.

Well. I am a repeat customer. They do a good job. Not the quickest folks but excellent quality. Some sales help are better than others with suggestions, but if you have rare valuable pieces hold out and talk to Mary Jo the owner.

Woman I worked with was incredibly knowledgeable about her products, and skilled in her ability to match mats and frames with watercolors I was having framed. With Angie's List discount, which they honored, made the price reasonable. Will definitely use them again.

I selected them to frame a picture based on a $70 discount I had, but the job still costs over $300. I can't compare quality and even price to other vendors, but the quality seems fine, the service folks were friendly, and the cost was painful--always more than the original artwork.
