I hired Star Plumbing to snake out my basement toilet. He charged 495.00. When he removed the toilet he broke the screws that anchored the toilet.The toilet now wobbles everytime you sit on it.

Their service deserves a 5, but their bedside manners a 1.

The motto for Star Plumbing is "Happy Customer, Happy Plumber". Much more than just words Akeem means what he says. Had a kitchen drain problem. Akeem and his assistant worked diligently for at least 4 hours during two separate visits to address it. Ultimately, he had to refer me to someone else (disappointing for him and me) but he significantly lowered his fee without being prompted to do so. Nice to see when words mean more than words.

Outstanding professionalism and overall customer service.

Charged $395 to install a refrigerator water line and remove an old saddle valve. We were getting low pressure from our existing fridge line, so I called to have the line and saddle valve replaced. Saddle valves are prohibited in the 2015 International Plumbing Code [Article 605.9] (adopted by Maryland), so I asked to have the existing one cut out and replaced with copper, then install a new ball valve on an existing copper line that is already closer to the the fridge anyway. Unfortunately Akeem either didn't hear or didn't understand the instructions properly, because after removing the old saddle valve he just put another one back in. I'm not sure why he even has them in his truck to be honest, since their use has been prohibited for several years. Anyway, after explaining again what I had been expecting he took it out and put in a ball valve. The finished work was of good quality. However given the misunderstanding about the job requested, apparent lack of knowledge concerning the Plumbing Code, and what I feel was a very high price for what amounted to about an hour's labor and maybe $25 in parts, I can't say I would use this plumber again.

The Tech, seemed to have had a preconceived mind already that the Water Heater was bad before hand. It was because of the insistence of the person I had there when he arrived. It only then that he agreed to replace the Temperature Pressure Relief valve. I feel the price was grossly inflated.
