I STRONGLY recommend Carol Schantz, an OUTSTANDING real estate agent. Carol helped us purchase our dream home. She was with us every step of the way and we are so incredibly happy --she got us our dream house at a great price. We really have her to thank for her incredible hard work and assistance through this process. She has truly earned her well deserved spot in the top 1% of realtors nationwide. Here are some reasons why: 1) She is incredibly hard working and dedicated. From house hunting stage until the settlement, she made us feel like we were her only client (in to see houses the same day, completely available to us, sent us houses to see at all hours of the day or night, even when I was running out of steam) 2) She never put pressure on us to bid or bid higher than we wanted to, completely supported our bids, but made sure we were well informed. 3) She understood our needs. It takes time and patience to do this well, and she completely understood what we liked and didn't like. 4) She pays attention to details. For example, she helped us to obtain information on the neighborhood (provided us with phone #s of previous clients who lived in neighborhoods we were interested in). She helped us to estimate costs for cutting trees on a 0.67 acre lot which we could use as a negotiating tool (she actually called a tree cutter and got an estimate). This information was very useful to us. 5) She advised us on how to navigate the bidding process (her advice was SPOT on)--without her help we would not have gotten this house. 6) Her referrals (termite, inspector, settlement company, lender) were OUTSTANDING. She never put pressure on us to use her referrals, either, but she earned our trust and we were completely happy with her referrals. 7) She represented our interests incredibly well - she negotiated for us to get a 10K credit because the roof needed to be changed. 8) She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and pleasure to be around, a lovely person--yet --don't worry, she absolutely knows how to be assertive when she needs to be, and can handle any listing agent, no matter how tough or sleazy. In sum, Carol helped us navigate an otherwise stressful process of buying a home with ease. She made us feel very comfortable throughout the process and she truly earned our trust.
