Description of Work: We solicited quotes from 3 companies to replace our 20 y.o. furnace & a/c and Gaithersburg was in the middle on price but had a much better warranty on both the labor, parts, a/c compressor and the furnace heat exchange. A free heating and a free a/c tune up in the first year were included with the quote. -They came out twice to review our site and to take measurements, both times they arrived on time and were courteous and quick. -The installation crew arrived on time and finished the job quickly and cleanly. They removed our old systems and they installed a new a/c and furnace with attached humidifier. They fully explained and demonstrated the mechanics of the system and how the new programmable thermostat worked and recommended the best settings for the most comfortable and efficient operation. I would highly recommend Gaithersburg Air Conditioning and Heating to my neighbors.

Description of Work: In March, during a cold spell, our old furnace finally broke down. We purchased through Gaith/Air a unit and an outdoor air unit for what I thought was a fair price. They were prompt and professional and installed the furnace. When the ground thawed, they put in the outdoor unit--that is where the trouble started. One Saturday, I awoke to find the furnace not working, and a fuse tripped on the circuit. A technician came out and repaired the fuse. The next week, same thing, the technician said it was a wire. INCREDIBLY the following week, same thing, the technician said the amp connection was not done properly, worked beautifully afterward. NOW it is August, and the outdoor air unit is not working and the house is hot!! Where do I go from here?

Description of Work: Choose not to use them. I explained to the person who scheduled my service that I have 2 HVACS. She gave me the price. The price did not seem consistent with other quotes, so I called back to confirm that the price was for 2 HVACS. She told me no and proceeded to inform me about the tiered pricing structure. Had I not called back, I would not have known until after the service was performed. I don't like receiving partial information, so I choose to go with another company where the representative was more thorough in explaining their policies up front.
