Description of Work: They did a tune up on our furnace and air conditioner.

Description of Work: The Blue Dot serviceman told me I needed a new heat pump. I got two other HVAC companies to come out and give me estimates, both of them said that Blue Dot was wrong and that I did not need a new unit even though both of them would have made a profit by telling me otherwise. In additon, the Blue Dot guy told me I was 8 ounces down on refrigerant. When I told the other company about that, he told me that the reason was that the Blue Dot people let a lot of gas escape when they check the pressure and that the proper way to check was to check the differential temperature of the input and output tubes. I was depending on Blue Dot to be my maintenance company but they have a conflict of interest and apparently were more interested in selling me a new unit.

Description of Work: I purchased The Big Deal, $39 HVAC Service Call and 30-Minute Diagnostic. It worked out pretty good. This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others. I was happy with the overall experience.

Description of Work: INSTALLED NEW GREENSPEED HEAT PUMP ON MAIN HOUSE AND RELOCATED 2ND EXISTING HEAT PUMP TO ADDITON.

Description of Work: We bought the Big Deal to have our heating system checked out because it seemed our thermostat wasn't working. The service tech came and said they couldn't do any diagnosis without first doing furnace maintenance for $80, then they said they can do a diagnosis for another $90, and then, if it was indeed the thermostat, the cheapest they had was about $550. I had a feeling that I was being taken advantage of, so I chose to not use the service. I then went to Home Depot with my father-in-law, bought a thermostat for $42 and it fixed the problem.

Description of Work: Out of 11 companies that we called on the hottest day of the year when our AC unit died, this is the only company who could/would come out that day. The service tech, DJ, was professional and friendly and efficient and very skilled! We will use Blue Dot from now on - even to replace the unit!! THANKS BLUE DOT!!!

Description of Work: The person that performed the work was very knowledgable. He Inspected the boiler and cleaned in out and knew just what was causing the black smoke that was coming out of the chimney. The price was in line with what I was told on the phone.

Description of Work: I was compiling a list from which to obtain estimates for removing my furnace and hot water heater, in order to have a new basement floor poured. I found a friend of a friend who offered to do it. I never contacted the company.

Description of Work: My AC needed an annual check and I chose Blue Dot. I've seen all of their ads on TV, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are as good as their ads. The gentleman was punctual, pleasant, very informative and accomplished the maintenance quickly, was very knowledgeable. I will definitely keep this company in mind in the future.

Description of Work: central air unit would not blow cool air. The fan on the outside unit was not activating so i was told by the rep. Mr. Robinson within 30 seconds what the problem was. he fixed it within 20 minutes. I expected to spend a lot more so when he said 281 (199 parts and service/82 for coming out (dispatch). I gave a B on price because i cant comprehend spending 82 dollars just to come out and say what's wrong. That should be taken of the price if the person purchases the service...but overall it was an excellent experience
