Estimator/salesman Glenn Corbin arrived on time. (Company has sales person that can come after work hours.) Knowledgeable and professional. Installers were on time and courteous and quiet. We went with Blue Dot from Angies List and Realtor recommendations after receiving 3 estimates from different companies. Their estimate was the best value for an efficient system. Glenn Corbin, the salesman, visited on the day of the installation and has mentioned a number of times that we can call him for any concerns. He even offered to come to show us how to use the thermostat in the house we bought since theres no manual. Another plus is that the back office was punctual with a rebate claim form and setting up the inspection of the installation.

They hooked up the hot and cold backwards on the kitchen faucet. They were able to come back up and fix but was a hassle. We had a list of a ton more plumbing work to be done but they really didn't seem interested in completing the work at the same time. We were told they were going to have a fully stocked truck for our job but we were then told to go to the store ourselves and pick out fixtures. They also didn't show up in the window they provided and we had to call back multiple times to make sure they are coming out at all Clean up was a bit lacking. Hourly fee was a bit steep.

We recently relocated to the area. We were concerned that the existing a/c system struggled last Summer and called Blue Dot for an evaluation based on their high score's on Angie's List. Blue Dot's representatives were on time. Their sales engineer looked at our existing system and suggested we stay with it as it is only about half way through its expected service life. Blue Dot followed up, got a maintenance plan in place and serviced the a/c. It is working great.

My call to Blue Dot was returned within an hour, and Chuck came out to give an estimate that same afternoon. He quickly pointed out problems that most other companies had neglected to notice, or mention he had a service contract with him for estimates instead of notebook paper or verbal quotes. He did not try to sell us anything we didn't need or want. Doug and Steve arrived on time at 6 am for an early start in the warm attic. They had the new equipment running by mid afternoon and came back the second day to complete the duct work. It seemed that supervisors were in contact constantly, and stopping by to check on things. Apparently they only deal with Carrier and Trane, and they offer good service warranties, but their price was still much lower than companies offering less expensive brands. We were also pleased with the payment options including financing that Blue Dot offers. I would hire this team again, and recommend them highly.

We called for service on a Wednesday. Christine in the office didnt know if they serviced our area and said she would have to call us back later. She did not call as promised. I called back on Monday and spoke with her again. She did not remember our prior call and I had to give all the information again. The earliest appointment she could give us was Friday morning between 8 and 12. She said they would call on Friday to give us a better time estimate. They didnt call so we called them. Shortly thereafter, they called us asking us where we lived. The technician arrived when expected, was extremely cordial and knowledgeable. He readily diagnosed the problem, corrected it, and checked his work. He even checked the other two units to make sure that they were not suffering the same problem. My husband was so impressed that he purchased an annual service agreement. In sum, the office staff was a disaster but the field team was excellent.

The house furnace stopped working early Saturday morning of Easter weekend. Blue Dot sent some one over within an hour of my calling. The technician was able to get the furnace going again. The technician suspected a faulty igniter (the filament used to start the gas burning), but it could also have been a problem with the circuit board. As the furnace continued to work for a while after he got it going, I elected to wait to have someone come back until Monday to replace the igniter. However, on Monday it was still going fine, so I came to the conclusion that perhaps the circuit board had gotten itself into a bad state and what it took was someone turning off the power to the furnace (as the tech had done) to "reboot" it. So I canceled the follow-up service. The furnace is still working fine two weeks later. Although the diagnosis wasn't perfect they got the furnace started quickly on Easter weekend. Much appreciated.

They come when they say they will and they come immediately. Their advice is terrific.

Excellent. Removed old furnace and central air. Very difficult installation due to size and placement of units and ducts. Analysis was professional. Workman knowledgeable and hard working. Cleaned up and disposed of all trash. Service following installation has been great.

Once again, I could count on Blue Dot. The night before Thanksgiving a water heater in my rental property started leaking. I called them in the morning and they responded with a new water heater in a couple hours. From the time of my phone call to the finish of the install it was less then 8 hours. They put drop clothes down on the new carpet. Cleaned up everything. They saved the day for me on a holiday night. Thanks Guys...

They were able to schedule me in a reasonable time and I love the idea of first appointment, which means you know you have their first appointment between 8:00 and 8:30, instead of having to wait for someone between 8:00 and 1:00. He arrived promptly, wore paper shoes while in the house, explained everything clearly, was very friendly and wasted no time. The bill was clear and he left a feedback form.

I was very pleased. After the water sample was given to Blue Dot. Gary quoted and installed the job. Both systems that were installed in my home made a huge difference in the quality of my water. I will hire Blue Dot again, in the near future to replace my well pump and tank. Thanks, Gary

Excellent service. Arrived on time and were very respectful of avoiding any construction debris from being left behind.

Very poor customer service in the new install office, seems most people are happy in the service department, maybe they should stick to service work.

We have this company every year. They installed the air conditioning unit and maintain it. We have had no complaints about their work. The system has worked well. The few times they have had to make repairs, these have been done promptly and well.

I got a prompt call back and appointment, but had to call after 10 days to get a written estimate. The salesman didn't pass info about other equipment (gas water heater w/PVC pipe, etc.) to installation techs so they didn't have necessary parts to finish in one day. However, they got heat running for that night. A second crew hooked up flue and humidifier the next morning. After I returned to work, Blue Dot called to say that another tech was at my house to do hook-up and combustion tests. No one had mentioned another man was coming. Although Blue Dot was apologetic and wanted to make good by testing at my earliest convenience, they could not reschedule for 5 more days. The end result was excellent and everyone on the installation was professional, but the process was not smooth. The salesman told me that the system might not be completed in one day, but several hitches seemed avoidable and, if avoided, might have resulted in a one-day job rather than a 6-day job.

Excellent. Bonnie from Blue Dot contacted me on the Monday after I had submitted my request in e-mail (from Angie's list website contact) on a Saturday. Bill Sears, Comfort Consultant, was out the next day to provide an estimate. He is a very professional man. Took the time to answer my questions, looked in the nooks and crannies to be sure nothing was missed. He provided a professional estimate and was in no rush when I was obtaining two other estimates. Mr. Sears was readily available by phone when I had additional questions to clarify items, etc. I chose Blue Dot for a couple of reasons: although their price was comparable to BGE, the Trane unit furnace had a higher efficiency rating. The AC unit is designed differently so that it occupies less space then my old unit and could be moved easily to a new location. The workers arrived on time, were very pleasant and professional. We had heat the same night. They cleaned up thoroughly. I am impressed!

Mr. Sears arrived on time. Put on foot covers upon entering the house. While checking the furnace, discussed what I had and how more efficient today's units are and what size I would need depending on my air conditioner. He informed me of the changes to furnaces since my purchase of a Carrier in 1968. Discussed what type of duct work would be necessary. Checked A/C and thermostat. Wrote estimates on 4 furnaces and explained the pros and cons of each. Had told him that I would like to replace the Humidifier and he gave me a price for that as well explaining what I would have to do to maintain it. He was knowledgeable and personable. I learned a lot about the changes in furnaces.

The technician was very professional. They called before coming, they were prompt and in the time range promised. I was very pleased with the work and would highly recommend them.

This was a great experience. The service contract was only $140 per year. Last year, I had a service contract with another and it was $295. In the last year they came out two times in addition to the initial visit for the spring service and one problem with the air conditioning. All three times the experience with the technicians was dreadful. One could not answer my questions on whether or not to leave the fan on with the air conditioner (I had heard this from someone that this would maximize the AC). The other two times I had the same tech who was so awful, rude, condescending, in effect implying I was stupid for not understanding the programmable thermostat that he had installed, that I finally said enough is enough. The young man who came from Blue Dot was courteous, knowledgeable, on time and he even put on shoe covers before he entered the house. I had never seen that before. I highly recommend this service.

They show up on time, do an excellent job, and always take care of everything for me. I've used them for a couple of years and would recommend them to everyone!

I contact Blue Dot after reading their reviews on this site - I could not have been more pleased! The entire process was efficient, friendly and informative. Service requests were attended to within 24 hours, and all questions were answered thoroughly (for a layman's understanding). The technicians were on time, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves. We just moved to a new home and will most definitely be having Blue Dot service our unit on a bi-annual basis. I really cannot say enough good things about this company.

I traveled 80 miles (round trip) to meet with the representative and go over the work. An estimate was promised. No one responded to my several phone calls (including to the reps. cell phone) for this estimate. This was a very frustrating experience; I have called other companies to repeat the process on getting an estimate for the work that needs to be completed.

Representative came out and quoted the job at my dining room table, down to the dollar within a day or two of my calling them. He explained everything in detail and went through the alternatives with pricing differences. He was very polite and knowledgable. He scheduled install times with me when I called to accept the quote, and handled all communications in a quick manner. The install team that arrived was experienced, quick, efficient and very skilled. They knew their jobs and got right down to business. They were very polite, and had no problem answering curiosity questions I asked. My particular house had some very old duct work that was custom built, and they had no problem crafting a solution to fit the project's needs. The system works great, and was a wonderful improvement.

They were on time and came on the same day that I called. Their price was much cheaper than another company who gave an estimate. They were clean and polite.
