I telephoned this company on two separate occasions (ie. different days) and left voicemails on both occasions. I never received a return call. Consequently, I hired another company.

I noticed that my AC stopped working around 7:30PM. I called Blue Dot, who connected me with a service technician, Ali, who called back right away. He said he could be here within 20-30 min, which was quite accurate. When he arrived, I showed him the heat pump unit. He could tell, by what he was hearing, which part to look at, a large capacitor. He said I'm pretty sure this is it, and I'll see if I have the part in my van. I went back in my house, and within 5 minutes I was feeling cool air coming in through the vents. Ali (who is a really nice guy) explained that I paid $60 more for the after-hours service call, which I thought was well worth it given that my family could sleep a lot better with the AC on. The after hours service call was $140, and replacement capacitor was $230. I was very impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism of this company.

Blue Dot Services - Heating & A/C The only reason we didn't use them is, because another company beat their price. Came in and looked at the project, and had the same products as the company that we went with. It it wasn't for the other company beating their price, we would have probably used them.

They were very good. They did what they said they were going to do. It was a little bit more expensive than I thought it was going to be. They showed up, and they took care of business. We actually talked to other people when we had a system breakdown, and they came out. They gave us a run around about when they can come, and they said they were very busy during the spring. Blue dot gave us the date and the time. They also told us when they will have our stuff here. They use a bigger system to pump the air conditioner downstairs.

The price was comparable and the sales rep was very personable. The only reason I am not currently using Blue Dot is that I have another estimate that will provide me more for my money.

It was good, everything was perfectly fine. My mother said that everything worked out. The quote that they gave me over the phone was the price we paid.

Called on Saturday Morning during a 2 week long heat wave. Tech arrived in 4 hours.WOW! Explained problems to him. He listened, and it help him with the fix. Tech was excellent. Very knowledgable, and willing to explaiin what he was doing. Price was fair for weekend work. Although $230 for a $20 (on line) part seems high,but you do have to pay for time and expertise. Overall very happy, and will call again.

Good overall, did not have to pay for an estimate.

They were professional and knowledgeable. They were on time, clean and cost efficient.

My family has had an annual service contract with Blue Dot from the time we moved into our house in 2005. In June of 2010, our AC stopped working. Blue Dot came out the same day and got the AC unit functioning again. With a planned maintenance appointment a week away, the technician able to limit his work to just what was needed to bring it back online. I spoke to the technician during the routine maintenance check (same technician has been out each maintenance period). He said the 25 year old unit was functioning, inefficiently, and was the equivalent of an automobile with 500,000 miles on it. That was enough for me to contact the Blue Dot sales force to discuss our options. The sales appointment was scheduled around my time, and I was given all the time I needed to have all my questions answered. I scheduled the installation for mid-September, two weeks after the sales appointment. The installation was a little more involved than originally anticipated - and mainly due to adding two returns on the first floor. The crew lead was able to call in additional technicians on day two, and thus was able to stay on schedule. The owner stopped by on day two to make sure all was going as expected. The crew finished on time and did a great job of cleaning up before they left.

Workers did an awesome job, clean, & prompt.

They did good work; they are very competent. I was very pleased.

I contacted Blue Dot and BGE to give an estimate of cost and delivery date. My furnace died a few days before during a winter storm. Blue Dot gave me a price about $200 less than BGE and more importantly could deliver the next day. Since my AC was already broken I replaced them both at the same time. Blue Dot arrived on time and worked until 630pm to make sure all went well. The following morning an engineer arrived to quality check the installation. BGE could MAYBE install 3 days later leaving me without heating for over a week.

Getting ready for winter 2009/2010 maintenance, the man said I had holes in the heat exchanger and shut down everything until his sales person could get here. For several hours, this maintenance person explored my laundry room and garage and swept and changed light bulbs and made small talk. I told him several times he should leave and he would not. He checked the tools in the garage, looked above the ceiling tiles in the laundry, just strange things like that. Finally, the sales person came and I told him that I did not appreciate being baby sitted by his repair man. He acted like he did not know anything about that. The sales person would not order the heat exchanger to make the repairs, he wanted to sell me a new furnace. I said I was not interested and had I known that was all he had to offer I would have gone back to work hours ago. He was miffed and so was I. I called a local company who not only would have replaced the entire furnace for at least $1000 less than Blue Dot, but they also in the end made the heat exchanger repair for me which was much less expensive and all that was needed. There was never a good explaination for why the holes were in the heat exchanger.

They come out and do what they are supposed to do. They arrived on time and got the job done. Considering what the motor cost I think the price we paid for the contract is good.

I was really pleased because they really take care of your property. They wore booties on their shoes. I have also used them in the past for heating and AC service. I just bought a 5 year contract with them because I was so pleased with their service.

We came in Saturday night from 2 week vacation- heater wasn't working. 40degrees inside. Spent night at hotel, called Blue Dot next day, within 45 minutes they where fixing the heater. Charged 140 for emergency service call (which was $60 less than other 2 companies we called for estimates, but charged more for parts and labor because it was on a weekend). Overall good service.

Badly- poor work and poor customer service.

It went exceedingly well. Two other owners in the condo building decided to replace their HVAC's as well, defraying the cost of the crane. Blue Dot was wonderful in working with three different clients, with different needs (and different HVAC systems) all in one building. My interior installation was extremely difficult, as it was in my ceiling "crawl space." However, the Blue Dot service technicians were determined to get the job done, and worked many hours over their estimate on the last day of work to ensure that the installation was complete. In addition, Blue Dot had made a mistake in calculating one of the rebates I could get, and had included that information in my invoice. When they realized (after the job was finished) that they had made that mistake, they made up the difference, honoring what they had told me on the invoice/contract. While that might seem like the obvious thing to do, I was so thrilled that there was no issue with the mistake and that I didn't have to fight for that money. They were professional, pleasant, and I would heartily recommend them.

Blue Dot was on time for both days the service was rendered. At the end they fully explained what work was performed and how the new system worked, including the new thermostat. Overall I'm very pleased with the work performed and the Carrier system they installed. A month later and no problems have been experienced with the new system.

It went great. Bill Sears stopped by to give me an estimate. He was very professional and fair and friendly. On the day the work was done, the workers were timely, professional, friendly and performed great work.

When I turned my gas heat on for the first time this fall, it started making a clicking noise I had never heard before, so I called Blue Dot. They gave me a same day appointment, and called about half an hour before the technician arrived. He put the booties over his shoes to keep my floors clean. It's a 22 year old furnace, so he easily could have told me I needed a repair, but it was just the initial start up noise, and it's running great now. And he did give me an estimate for a replacement when I asked for it, since that is inevitable because of the age. BlueDot replaced my Air Conditioning unit a couple years ago and that was a great experience, also.

Definitely the worst contractor I’ve ever dealt with. No drain pans installed under the furnace/AC units, they leaked later and my ceiling collapsed. The furnace they sold me was faulty and there was a class action suit against the vendor at the time of the service and installation. After that, very poor service, they sold me equipment they then decided they wouldn’t service. Continual discovery of installation problems, wrong size duct work, wrong cable used, electrical shorts, etc etc etc. I worked with them for two years trying to get it straighted out to no avail. I switched to another contractor who fixed everything, not a problem since. This company is owned by a bigger company would gobbled them up. Complaining all the way up the chain netted me nothing, not even a phone call. It seems they couldn’t care less about Joe Consumer or doing the right thing in my opinion.

They told us when they came out what the problems were and what the solutions were. They analyzed everything and gave us our options. They showed us how we would save money on a better unit in the long run. They gave us all the options as far as the tax credits go. All the companies did the same thing but they were the most thorough as far as “if you get this unit you will save this amount over this time frame”. They said they would be here and they were here, they did the work they said, they put on boot covers when they came in the house. They were very respectful. They checked the unit when it was on to make sure it was cooling. I really appreciated that. They went through the new thermostat with my husband. They were above and beyond.

I called for service and was told that a plumber would come as soon as he finished his current appointment. I waited for three hours and called the office again and was told by the answering service that they could not help me and I would have to call the next morning for a status report. I called at 8am and was told that the plumber was not given the message and therefore did not know he had an appointment.
