Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I thought the original price was high and I told the guy for forget it and leave. The office called and I agree to a set price offered by the caller. The plumber returned and the the work was done to my satisfaction.

The provider arrived to my home a few hours after I contacted them and professionally began their work. The provider quickly repaired the leak and showed me how to fix the leak if I have problems in the future. Because he could not get a replacement piece, I still have to order a new part. I saved money with the deal; I'm happy I purchased the coupon.

The cost was too much. I was not impressed with the price. It was $300 just to have them snake the main sewage line. The person was nice. He came and did a good job. They were fast. They were right on time. They were here within an hour. They were really professional. I would look elsewhere because of the price.

I wanted a plumber, not a lawyer. I've hired plumbers through Angie's List before and was satisfied. I was extremely disappointed this time. You need to remove this "deal" from your site since it's a complete rip off.

I used the $79 for $250 worth of labor deal. When I found out the prices, I asked Angie's List for a refund. Angie's Lists needs to do a better job screening out the ripoffs. It would have been better for me to use the yellow pages!

I like that they’re 24 hours, and that I don’t have to take time off from work. The most recent experience, they were able to come out at 5pm on Saturday, which made the deal even sweeter. I had him swap out the faucet in the bathroom. He was at the home for about an hour. He had an automated credit card machine with him too, which made it very convenient.

We purchased the $79 coupon for $250 worth of services. They responded promptly and sent a plumber out the next day. No problem with the service provided. They fixed one drain line which consumed the value of the coupon according to the serviceman. I felt this was too much so they contacted us through Angie's List after I left a less than appealing review on price. They contacted us and refunded most of the money as they agreed that our drain line job was not worth the full value. They indicated that often this job can become a lot more complicated than ours turned out to be. Good for them for keeping track of their reputation and customer feedback!

The provider, Roto-rooter, was asked to replace the kitchen sink cold water faucet gasket. His estimate was $189.00 to replace this quarter part. The line item for this service was written as "Rebuild the kitchen sink, " The second item I asked him to do was to replace the parts shipped to me from the bathroom toilet manufacturer as a safety upgrade, meant to be installed by the homeowner. This serviceman's written estimate was, "Replace flush valve & install reduction valve." I had all parts to be replaced, yet he wanted to charge me for these parts that I supplied to him. Estimate: $250.00. I denied the whole estimate.

When it came time to replace the faucet in the kitchen sink, I was not expecting it to be a big job. I had already purchased the fixture and when I went under the sink to turn the water off, to my horror I discovered that the water shut-off values were so old that they wouldn't turn. Not to mention that they were also leaking. Since replacing valves is beyond my skill level, I looked for the best Big Deal I could find and found the one for Roto Rooter. Its overall rating was only a 'B' but they has 4x more reviews than anybody else. So I went for it. Low and behold they called me within 20 minutes of placing the order and better yet the technician was there within an hour, on a Saturday! Dal was great. He looked at the job and had a price list and was very clear what it would cost. Turns out a job like that is $309. So, minus the $250 credit it was $59 bucks. It was $100 bucks for the three valves that were required (which seemed a little high but hey he was there an a Saturday). So, Dal was very diligent and got the job done in an hour and adjusted the new water stems to a standard high and made it very easy for me to install the new water faucet myself. So, these experience has made me take notice that other ancient water valves in my house will need to be replaced and I will be using these deal and Dal again, real soon.

Went well. The first attempt, the plumber discovered a manufacturers defect in new fixture, and pointed it out. He suggested to go back to the store, where purchased, and get another one. He was very patient and waited until I returned with the new fixture. He examined the piece for defects, saw none, and installed. Excellent!!!! I have a beautiful new kitchen faucet and learned alot out "leaks". Thanks

I saw the $79 for $250 worth of plumbing and the $50 off any plumbing service offers on the Angie's list website for roto rooter, but since I had never used them in the past, I called two plumbers that I had used to get estimates but could not reach either of them so I called roto rooter and asked them for an estimate. The lady that answered the phone said that she could have a plumber at my house in about an hour and that he would give me an estimate. I told her that I had seen the angie's list specials and was not sure which special would be best for me if I decided to use roto rooter. She informed me that I could use either one and If I decided to buy the $79 offer, I could buy if while the plumber was doing the work. When the plumber arrived he originally gave me an estimate of about $230 which I thought was rather high, but my out of pocket expense would be only $79 and I originally thought that it would cost me around $150. When I told the plumber that I was going to Get the $79 offer, he told me that the $79 offer would cover the labor but not the parts and that the job would cost me about $100 with the parts. I was not happy that the $250 coupon would not cover the entire job, but the bill would still be less than I originally thought it would be so I told him to go ahead and fix it. It took him about 20 minutes to do the work and the parts cost me $40.32 so the total bill was $290.32. So my total out of pocket cost was $139.42 which was a little less than I originally estimated I think that $250 labor charge for a 20 minute job is much too high. I will not use roto rooter in the future My regular plumber, Mike Cocolin ( also on Angie's list) returned my call the next day and left a message on my answer on my answering machine and gave me an estimate of $150 to do the job

Scheduled the service for the next busk we day. The technician was professional. He was knowledgeable. Did a great job. No complaints. Will use them again

He tried to charge me almost $500 for the service in addition to the $79 for $250 value that I had already paid. He was supposed to fix my leaky shower head in my bathroom, also take a look at my pipe to my outside water house because it was leaking on the inside of my house when I turned the nozzle on and I needed him to look at the waterline to my ice maker.

Fabulous. Couldn't have gone any better. The guy (Jimmy) was great, and the end product of his labor works fine. Cost was the $79 for the original Angie's coupon and $19 in parts. Prior to joining Angie's, had another plumber (who we've used regularly) quote over $600 for the same service that Roto-Rooter did thru Angie's. I couldn't be happier. Just purchased another for Roto-Rooter. Thank you Angie !!!

They attempted to unclog main sewer line, but were unable to do so because of clog downstream in the line. Was advised that I will have to get pipe replaced. I was charged full $688.00 for the service call, even though I am back where I started. I DON'T recommend using them again!! Update: I called roto-rooter to explain that they weren't able to fix the problem, and they did refunding 1/2 of the money, which they said is generally their policy (whereas the technician told me that they have to charge the full amount). Glad I followed up with this!

The provider found and described the problem and showed it to me with his camera. He provided recommendations for repair and provided a quote from his company to come and complete the repair. Would likely use again if necessary.

After purchasing deal with Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services. I personally feel it was a sham. I purchased to have two hours of plumbing services, however the moment they arrived to perform the job they were requiring more cost for the work that I have already paid for.

Mr. Chris Jones arrived within hours of my contacting Roto Rooter via Angie's List. I never expected to get same day service. He was very polite & professional, offering guidance & explaining what went wrong. The deal from Angie's list was $79 for $250 worth of labor. Labor would have come to $309 but he knocked off the difference, saving us $59. Only additional expense was cost of the 1/2 horsepower Badger 5 In-Sinkerator garbage disposal, $171.89

Bought a Big Deal $79 for $250 worth services and the guy came out took at look around and priced $399 just to replace a shower head and one other thing so I said forget it and got a refund

We didn't use them after all for the job. However, we have used Roto Rooter before and they provide good quality work. If we have ever had issues, they resolved them rather quickly and without any pushback.

Immediate response to our call. Took no more than 30 minutes. Cost was Super Deal of only $79, instead of $211.

The repairman showed up at 8:00 oclock Monday morning and immediately knew how to repair the leak and had the parts with him. Then we discussed that our contract was to cover $250 worth of plumbing services and we had only used about $100 of that amount so he suggested other jobs he might do in order for us to get our full value from the Big Deal purchase. We decided to have him take apart the outside spigot and reset the seal and now the handle turns easily and it also no longer leaks. This was a pleasant surprise to have the plumber ask to do more work. We were thrilled with the results and the price was incredible for what we received in return. Will definitely call this company for all our plumbing needs!
