As noted, he inspected my property for the presence of mold. He found none, but provided recommendations on ensuring that it didn't become a problem in the future.

Wow - Jon is absolutely the best. He arrived exactly at 8 am on schedule. He was professional, explained what he was going to do and how long it was going to take. He did an OUTSTANDING job and is a credit to his profession. He cleaned the area - and he installed a new vanity and made it fit perfect (even tho the size was a little small) and he charged less than the contracted price (who does that). I would absolutely use him again... all contractors should take a lesson from him.

In a field where it is not well regulated, mold companies can use "fear" tactics so people will spend money to improve a particular physical symptom they are experiencing. In a field where it is easy to take advantage of the consumer, Joe and Mold Gone shines brightly!! They are ethical, honest and fair. Joe took the time to speak with me on numerous occasions. He was extremely patient. His focus was less about making money but more about wanting to help. In summary, this is a good company run by trustworthy people. It is a honor to meet Joe.

In Summer 2012 we had this company in for mold testing for our new house, as there were two rooms with a bad mold smell. We knew there had been previous water damage from a leaking window, but the mold testing didn't turn up anything. We later discovered a leak in the roof and had that repaired. Fast forward to Summer 2013 and we still had the mold smell, so I contacted them again. Mr. Mulieri came out and gave me another consultation free of charge, which I thought was terrific customer service. He again did not find anything specific, but recommended we remove the carpeting and clean the ducts. This worked, as the smell disappeared as soon as the carpeting was removed. We discovered the hardwood floors had been water damaged and also had those repaired. I also had another contractor in who recommended opening up the wall to search for mold, but Mr Mulieri recommended against that. I thought he was very honest and knowledgeable--he could have made money on mold remediation work but he did not recommend that for our problem. Very responsive, very knowledgeable, excellent customer service.

I received a few estimates for this project and MoldGone was one of the better priced proposals and their communication was professional and responsive. They were easy to schedule and work with. I would recommend them based on my experience with Mike!

Jon was terrific. He showed up right on time and was extremely professional and friendly throughout the visit. His expertise was evident and he was careful to explain things to us every step of the way. What is even more amazing was he made suggestions, assured us the problem was not hazardous to our health, etc. and made specific suggestions about what WE could to do clean up the type of mold present. He refused to charge us anything. An A does not do Jon/MoldGone justice - I would have to rate the visit an A+!

They came on time and did all the work within one day. Jon gave me the Angie's List discount before I even had a chance to ask for it, He seemed very honest and well-mannered. I will recommend this firm. They were reliable, punctual, and well organized.

They didn’t quote me a price because there was no need. It didn’t cost anything for them to come out which was great. They were great. They came in and they did it right away for me. They scheduled me in so I didn’t have to wait long. I had to coordinate with my neighbors so they were very patient with me in regards to who was gonna open the door to the house. When I called, they picked up, there was never a voicemail, which is great. They were simple and easy. They called me back right away to let me know there were no molds. So I was happy with them. They made everything run very smoothly especially with my situation.

We had a plumbing leak happen between two inside walls. It was a slow leak (drip, drip, drip . . . ) so it went undiscovered for months. By the time it was discovered, there was considerable mold damage. Jon from MoldGone came in and did a thorough inspection, noting all areas that needed to be addressed. They came in with a crew of five workers, all of which were the most competent, professional (and NEAT!) individuals we've ever dealt with. When they were finished, they cleaned everything up, so we were left with no mess what so ever. The environmental firm that did the recheck of the mold remediation work said that they are not impressed easily by what they find during a recheck, but in this case they couldn't say enough about how well the work had been done. These guys at MoldGone are true professionals!

Joe and his crew came in promptly and did the good work. My only complaint is they left a mess in the crawl space after removing part of the floor. Joe also said he would come back to fog the rest of the house, which never got done. But that probably most of our fault, the other contractor we had took so long to complete the work he was doing, we figured Joe wouldn't come back.

They are wonderful. I have lost his number and I wanted him to come back. What was great about him was that he basically told me I did not need it. He said that I would be best served by having my roof replaced and see if that takes care of drying out or takes care of a lot of the problems, because it was in the rafters, and to call him back once I had that and let him evaluate then; as scared as I was he could have taken me for anything, and that was wonderful. He came in to give a free estimate. They had a very timely response.

After my husband discovered a leak in his basement "hobby" room's closet - he removed the drywall to discover a pipe that was slowly leaking. The pipe entered through the foundation and quite a large amount (in our minds it was a lot ? to Joe, probably not) of black wet mold surrounding the wood stud that ran parallel to the pipe and along with the baseboards and part of the drywall. After seeing the great reviews on Angie's List, I called MoldGone to setup an appointment. I was very concerned about the black mold since my children play often in the basement and I worried about it going airborne (I have heard of the horror stories about it spreading everywhere) and we didn?t know how far the damage had grown behind the walls. Joe answered ALL of our questions and explained in great detail the extent of the problem and requirements needed to correct the issue. He informed us based on the mold pattern and condition, that the mold has been growing for years and was likely due to a previous flood contained within that room. He believed it was contained to the pipe area within the closet and along the baseboards. We have lived in our home for 2 years and never noticed a moisture problem in the basement until now - however, due to Joe's explanation of how the mold grew/spread and pointed out where vents were added in this room and examined a cubby where the prior owner had installed a de-humidifier.. it was pretty clear the previous owner had known about this condition (which was not disclosed). He also reviewed the exterior foundation and verified that the water was likely NOT coming in through the foundation. He believed it all had come from the broken pipe. He even put this in the contract so we could show the insurance agent of the findings. Joe indicated to fix this pipe (the MAIN pipe for our well, where it enters into our house through the foundation) was outside of their scope of work. He indicated they could correct the problem after the pipe (moisture source) was fixed. We had to have extensive work done by a well professional to have the issue corrected and brought to current code (pipe was split in the section between the foundation). Following these repairs, Joe and his crew arrived to eliminate and repair the molded areas. The work was completed in 2 days with 3?5 guys on the site each day. The workers arrived promptly on time both days. Joe arrived to on site each day to oversee the project. The room was secured from the other areas of the basement and a ventilation system was put in keep the air clean. On day 1, they removed the molded/damaged materials safely, sprayed/treated the areas (looks kind of like white paint). Once dried, they replaced the insulation and re-built the walls with mold resistant dry-wall (and added an access panel to the hidden pipe). On day 2, they spackled, replaced/installed new baseboards, and painted all replaced areas to match the existing paint colors. They also left the remaining paint so that we could do touch ups, if needed. After I reviewed the progress, Kevin put off several ?air bombs? in the other areas of the basement to kill any potential mold spores that may have been released in the air during the remediation process. To our surprise the damage was less than anticipated and Joe reduced the price accordingly. I hope to never have a mold problem again; but if we do, I will be contacting MoldGone immediately. My mind has been put to ease knowing the work was completed efficiently and professionally. Also, upon completion of the job, I received an updated electronic invoice along with several photos documenting each step of the remediation process. We plan to be in our home for many years to come; however, these photos will be invaluable to prove to the next owners that the work was completed correctly and professionally.

Having found quite a bit of white mold on several ceiling joists a week before other contractors were scheduled to begin finishing the basement, and at 24 weeks pregnant, I was pretty freaked out. Mike took my call immediately and set up a time the very next day (a Thursday). This was particularly great as the competitor I called first said he couldn't even do a review/estimate for 3 weeks. He came on time, took a look, and assured me it wasn't as bad as I feared and could be treated topically without removing any of the ceiling joists holding up the first floor. I was worried that perhaps there was more lurking somewhere else we couldn't see it, and he assured me he'd do a thorough review, but that he'd also set off several bombs in the basement that would kill any other mold spores that may be hidden. He offered a discount since I'd have two services (the topical treatment process plus the bombing procedure), and also honored the Angie's List coupon. Even better, he was able to fit me in the following Monday, so I only had to wait a few days and it didn't hold up my other contractor. On Monday, he showed up on time again, addressed my concerns about the safety of the products he'd use (given my pregnancy and my toddler), and went to work. When he was done, I didn't see a spec of anything left and I feel confident that we can close in the joists and not have to worry about any mold building or growing behind the drywall. I'd totally recommend this company - mold is a scary thing and he didn't oversell the problem in an effort to make more money. The price was fair for the time he spent and he couldn't have been nicer to work with.

The contractor arrived on time and called 15 minutes before arriving. It was extremely refreshing to work with a genuine contractor that didn't try to sell you something that you didn't need. He was extremely helpful in trying to assist us with determining where odd smells were coming from within the house and even told us how other mold contractors might try to scam us in the future. We HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is having mold testing done.

Jon, the VP for Mold Gone is awesome. Absolutely every encounter was timely, professional and personable. No tricks, games, double talk or foolishness. He was honest and extremely reliable. He addressed absolutely every question, concern and issue in a way that made sense to me. even when I goofed up, he did not hold it against me, understanding the situation. Jon and crew were respectful of my space and possessions. Mold Gone did a whole home mold remediation. His testing, his written proposals and all communication were top notch. There can not be a better mold remediation company in this area. Mold Gone was selected because of the fabulous reviews previously posted on Angie's List. This was my first use of Angie's list and I am thrilled with the results. I give nothing but honor and praise to Jon Gordon and Mold Gone.

Advised us to just have the renovation people remove the mold and replace with new materials. They were very honest. They didn't charge me for their services. Very happy with this company.

Excellent job!! Joe, Mike and their crew and MoldGone did a fabulous job in the basement of my house. When we bought the house there was a smell from the basement from the mold that had been growing there from previous water damage that surrounded a downstairs bathroom. They removed the mold without contaminating the rest of the house and even treated areas of the basement that didn't have mold like shampooing the carpeting and scrubbing down additional walls in the room next door, getting rid of dust in the eaves. They also fogged the entire basement which to remove mold spores from the air. They sealed off the basement from the rest of the house and used air scrubbers while they worked to prevent the removal from getting into other parts of the house. They were professional, courteous, on-time and on-schedule. They always followed through with their word . And let me emphasize they showed up on-time and finished on-schedule. They were a joy to work with and I would highly recommend. If you have a mold issue, they know what to do. Would definitely use again.

Joe, the owner, and his crew did an excellent job. The crew was prompt, quick, courteous, and professional. The problem was determined to be a leak that initially affected the exterior face of the sheathing, but over time, the wood rotted and became very porous and absorbent. The wood rot of the exterior sheathing was extensive, but contained to a single wall. Joe's crew was able to assist in repairing the exterior wall...two days later, on short notice and on a holiday. Awesome customer service! Mold Gone is the only company I will recommend for mold remediation, although I hope none of my friends or family ever have to use their excellent service. Words don't convey how incredible these guys are! If you are in need of mold remediation services, there is no reason to investigate other companies.

I called Jon Gordon on 28 August to schedule a time for a mold expection. He requested that I send him an email with pertinent contact information; he answered the email the same day and acheduled an appointment for the next day. Jon arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Frankly, this is just one of the kudos that I have for Jon and Mold Gone. He relieved my anxiety, calmly and professionally listened to my concerns and questions, and proceeded to expect all areas that were in question. First, things were not as bad as I had imagined. Second, he patiently told me what needed to done. Third, he told me that I could do things myself or use Mold Gone; I was simply amazed with his honesty. Luckily, my handyman happened to be arriving as Jon was finishing. Jon took the time to explain in great detail what needed to done and wrote done the products that my handyman needed. All of this, and Jon did not charge me anything; unbelievable! I wish to take this opportunity to thank Jon and Mold Gone for their outstanding service.
