They said, basically: "You don't need to hire us, you can just clean this up yourselves," and proceeded to tell me which projects to purchase and how to do the work. Amazing. They were courteous, prompt, honest, professional and just plan nice.

We have some water damage to our house. Jon was very professional, courteous, and prompt. Jon assessed our situation and determined that most, if not all, of the required work was exterior (siding, sheathing). Jon could have done some interior drywall work but, being very honest, he recommended that we first try to fix the exterior siding problems. Jon also gave us some valuable pointers on how to fix the outside problems. Jon did a fantastic job for us. We were very pleased. If we need work done in the future, we would definitely call Mold Gone.

Mike came out, assessed our crawl space, and made recommendations. He said he did not observe mold in the crawl space, and gave us a certificate to this effect that we could share with home buyers. He made recommendations of things we could do on our own, such as put down 6+ mil plastic sheet and glue it to the walls with liquid nails. He also applied a heavy coat to encapsulate the walls. A very thorough, clean project completed on time. We would definitely use them again...good work, good communication, a fair price.

Thankfully, everything checked out fine...no problems. There was no charge for the house call and inspection. I was very impressed and satisfied with their service.

I was so amazed that he came on a Sunday and did not take advantage of my situation. Not only that but gave me instructions on what to do myself and a starter supply of liquid to get it done immediately. He did not want anything for his trouble. I was so grateful tears came to my eyes. I read about him on Angie's list and he is for real. I would certainly trust and use them if i got a worse case of mold.

I had a small closet with mold - a result of an air duct in the wall. Mold gone removed the affected drywall, insulated the air duct and applied the appropriate anti-fungal. They replaced the drywall. We chose to do the painting, but they would have done it if we wanted. The team showed up on time, and were pleasant to have in the house. They were kind enough to re-hang the bracket for the shelving. When they left, the area was spotless!

I was told how to treat the basement bathroom to remove visible mold caused by humidity. He even wrote down the steps I was to follow because I would not have remembered them or the products he recommended I buy.

I tried calling because they are the best on the list. When I tried calling I just got the voicemail. I left all of my information and never got a call back.

They also helped us locate mold entrance points.

I sent multiple requests for an estimate for repairs but never received the information. Still dealing with the problem 17 months later.

An Appointment Was Scheduled For A Few Days Later. Mike Actually Performed The Work. He Arrived On Time - Went Right To Work And Was In And Out Of The Home In A Reasonable Amount Of Time. The Following Day, The Receipt For Payment & Work Description Invoice Was Emailed To Me For My Client. Mold Gone was very responsive to my call, and then showed up promptly when promised (actually a few minutes early). The technician at Mold Gone (who is also part of the company's management) is a very nice guy, very professional, and very trustworthy. He inspected our property and determined that it was very unlikely that we had a mold problem. He spoke very knowledgeably about the issues and was very responsive to my questions. Rather than upselling me into an expensive inspection or even-more-expensive remediation program, he told me that we could fix our particular issue using a handyman for less money. Total cost of the visit: $0. I would highly recommend Mold Gone if you want an honest, professional company that knows what it's doing.

When my tenants moved out I found black mold on the exterior wall of my finished basement. It was about 2 feet high and ran nearly the entire length of the wall. There was a crack in the wall and the tenants had not reported it and allowed the mildew to grow, infesting my heating system and all of the ducts. I found MoldGone on Angie's list and they came out to do an estimate. I had other companies give estimates as well, but MoldGone explained things better and were muich nicer. They inspired trust and confidence in their services. As a single woman it is hard to trust companies to not take advantage of me. MoldGone was thorough, clean, courteous and actually went out of their way to help me. They showed up on time, were respectful of my home and cleaned up after themselves. They also provided excellent recommendations for the companies to clean the heating system and to seal the basement cracks and repair the foundation. When they had finished putting the drywall back in place, Kevin (team lead) helped put my washer and dryer back in place and ensured they were hooked up correctly and running. The dryer and washer were moved by another company so they could dig out the foundation and replace it, but Kevin had no problem helping me. This support was way above and beyond. I trust and respect these guiys and I would hire them again in the future and will definitely recommend them to my neighbors and friends.

Great communication from Jon throughout entire process of inspection, quotation, and service delivery. Jon and his team arrived precisely on time, set up an effective system to protect the non-afffected space (plastic sheets, taped all seams, used HEPA filter, etc.), completed the work on time, and thoroughly cleaned up after completing the job. We were delighted with the process and outcome. Highly recommended.

went out of their way to show me the insulationIt went extremely well. The work was completed within two weeks of my initial contact with MoldGone. Mike met us the day after we contacted him by e-mail, walked us through all the troublesome spots we pointed out to him. To our relief several spots we were concerned about we not mold problems. He pointed out the areas that were a problem, described exactly what his company would do. He sent us a proposal within two days and scheduled us for his crew to come in a week later. The crew was very professional. They made a point of sealing off the areas they would work in, made sure no debris or dirt was tracked onto carpets or other flooring. They cleaned up after themselves. I had a particular concern that any affect attic insulation be replaced with an equivalent R Value insulation. The crew made a point of showing me the insulation as well as the R value imprinted on the insulation. I had tow possible cans of paint that might match the areas they were replacing. They tested them and worked with me to select the right paint so that it matched the remained of the room. They got the work done in well less than a day. Both my wife and I are very pleased with the result. To top it off, the job was far less expensive than what I was anticipating.

Everything was excellent and crew did an excellent job. At first, it took some time for a return phone call to set up an appointment. And it took a day to contact the job supervisor to confirm the workday. However, these issues were minor and the work was excellent.

Great experience from beginning to end. Responsive. The owner was incredibly honest and helpful -- there were loads of things he could have tried to sell me but he didn't. He came at the appointed time to do the work and the work done was exceptional. A rare and remarkable experience.

My roof had a leak which caused the ceiling of a bedroom to get moldy. The water had at times gotten to the floor, so some carpet and flooring were moldy as well. Mold Gone removed all the moldy materials and treated and sealed all the remaining materials. They used air handling equipment to keep the mold from the rest of the house. They replaced all materials removed, except a section of carpet (as agreed in advance). There was one question I had about the work, which they addressed promptly and to my satisfaction. The room is now in very good condition. Thank you, Mold Gone, for a job well done.

Excellent. Was able to confirm we did not have mold...did not need remediation, but we did need a dehumidifier in our basement. Then promptly followed up the house call with an email recommending two different humidifiers.

Mike came out to do our estimate and he was very friendly and honest. He took the time to talk with me and to explain things and made sure all my questions were answered ( for the estimate and when he came out to do the job). His partner John came out to help him and he was also extremely friendly and helpful. They were polite, efficient and didn't make a mess as I have seen many other contractors do. They did extra work that we had not discussed/discovered during the estimate so they do their job thoroughly and completely.

He explained why he would do what he recommended. He helped me figure out how to fix and use my new dehumidifier. He was very helpful. Steve O'Connor of Bioserv is very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I got a lower estimate from my longtime contractor so I will go with him, but I would highly recommended Bioserv for mold remediation. Steve is an honest, reputable, well informed person. He is a microbiologist and he explained things about mold remediation that were helpful.

We had used MoldGone before and after we bought our house. We hired them to inspect and test for mold while we were in negotiations with our seller. Jon did the inspection and was very responsive, flexible and reassuring during a very nervous time for us. We were buying a big, old house and was very anxious about potential "discoveries" later if we bought it. Jon was on time, thorough and honest about what we were looking at. He knew it would be a good idea to get the basement done right away, but never tried to upswell us on areas that were not out of the norm for "moisture" or try to scare us. The report we got from MoldGone was educational and easy to understand. I can't remember exactly how much the inspection and report was, but I think about $400-$500. We must have felt good about their service because we hired them to come back to remediate the basement a week after we bought the house. We have a full unfinished basement and the cost was $3,775.50. Jon completed the remediation, and again, was confident and reassuring that we had nothing to worry about. We had not yet moved in. So they let themselves in with the lockbox, did the work in a day and left the basement mold free and in better shape than they found it. This month, the kitchen was demoed and they found a small area of black mold behind the sink/dishwasher cabinets. We sent Jon a photo and, again, he quickly responded with not thinking the mold was active or harmful, due to the age of the kitchen. However, within the week, we had Mike show up to clean, disinfect and seal the area (on a Sunday). He was also friendly, confident and reassuring about our situation. Turns out the area was small enough that the price was reduced from the original quote to $295.00 I don't know if MoldGone prices are high compared to other companies, but for friendly, responsive, prompt service, and the fact that they always honor their current Angie's List promotion, we would use them again and again.

I contacted MoldGone via email and received responses from a "VP of Business Development". He came out promptly and provided us with helpful information on the work to be done, but then had trouble answering additional questions about the work to be done, was slow to respond, and even either called us by a completely different name or sent us a response intended for someone else. Eventually we had the president come out to look at the work to be done and give us the information requested, and that was helpful. But because of all this, we took a few weeks discussing the job before we faxed back the contract. When we faxed it to the company fax number, I was sure to hear the fax carrier pick up, and printed out a fax transmission report. However, that was many months ago and we never heard back from them again, not even to ask whether we had any questions about the contract, which I would have expected if they had sent us a contract and had not (to the best of their knowledge) heard back from us. So we are starting our search anew to find another company that does the same work and has excellent reviews.
