We contacted Mold Gone after finding mold on the bottom of our bathroom vanity. Jon came out right away and provided an evaluation of what would need to be done. He explained the materials and process that should be used if we decided to do it ourselves or have someone else do it. We did end up using a handyman to remove the mold since we needed to replace part of the vanity, as well as the faucet valve, anyway - all things that the handyman could do in one visit. For a larger job, though, we would definitely use Mold Gone's services. Jon couldn't have been more professional or helpful. We highly recommend him.

He told me it was very common in a basement to have some mold due to higher humidity, suggested using a dehumidifier, and suggested products to clean the mold and prevent future mold. No charge.

I would highly recommend MoldGone as professional, responsive, and trustworthy. I contacted Jon from MoldGone on Friday afternoon and he was at my home for an inspection on Monday morning. Jon arrived on time and inspected my home and informed me that no services were required, and that I could safely attend to the mold myself. He took the time to explain a number of issues to me, and to recommend various products.

I have not had the technicians back to complete the work due to some unforeseen financial issues. I'll be contacting them soon to see if there are any payment options.

Jon (VP) from Mold Gone contacted me through Angie's List less than 24 hours after my request for service. He scheduled an appointment to meet with me that fit perfectly into my schedule. He arrived on time and was very polite. Right away he toured the affected area and offered his professional opinion about how I should proceed with the situation at my home. Fortunately, it seemed like most of the work could be something my husband and I could do ourselves. I appreciated his suggestions to improve conditions in our home. He gave precise instructions and offered for his company to do the work if the job seemed too big for my husband. We will certainly be sure to call Mold Gone again if the need arises (hope not though!). As well, I would be happy to pass along this company as a reference to anyone. Very responsive, flexible with the scheduling (needed to happen after the vapor barrier, but before insulation was installed) and provided an in-home air purifier for the day, as well. The guys showed up on time and got to work in the crawl space ... supervisor came back later and reviewed the work. Between this work and the new vapor barrier, the feeling that the house was making me ill seems to have been fully addressed. Great communication, friendly workers and acceptable pricing.

Our experience with Mold Gone was a positive from start to finish. We called four companies to get estimates for removing a spot of mold on our family room ceiling. We suspected it was caused by a leak from a bathroom tub that is directly above the affected area. Joe Mulieri responded quickly to our request for an estimate and his price was in line with the other estimates for the work that he thought was required. Joe did not try to oversell the job. He said he thought the mold was contained to a small spot and had not spread; he was correct. Joe said that once they opened up the ceiling, if they could fix the plumbing problem, they would, otherwise we would have to get a plumber to make the repair and his team would come back to finish the ceiling repair. When it turned out we did need to have a plumber do the repair, he voluntarily reduced the price by $200. He also volunteered to clean our bathroom ceiling to remove some mildew/mold and to apply a coat of mold retardant on it at no additional cost. Joe's employees, Gus and Jorge, who performed the work are extremely professional and proficient. They were able to match the texture on the ceiling without any problem. Although I hope we never again have a situation that requires the expertise of Mold Gone, if we do I would without hesitation call them to perform the work. Joe and his team proved themselves not only to be experts in the field, but to be trustworthy and likable individuals.

I recently had two water leaks in my basement caused by a condensate line freezing up due to record low temperatures. This caused my furnace to steadily leak water through an unfinished and finished area of my basement, soaking carpet and the base of a wall along the way. Once I noticed the problem, I worked hard to dry it out as quickly as possible, but combined with an earlier flooding incident a couple summers ago, the carpet had become waterlogged on three separate occasions. It seemed like a good idea to check on any potential mold issues. I knew exactly where to go. Several years ago when I purchased my house, I worked with Mold Gone to perform a mold inspection and remediate some minor mold issues. At the time I was extremely impressed with Joe Mulieri and his team, who went way above and beyond. So I sent Joe an e-mail and asked whether he could come out to my house and take some air samples to make sure the standing basement water hadn't done any significant damage. Joe came out today, and even though it had been about three years since he'd been here, he remembered both myself and the house. He performed a thorough examination of the basement, measuring moisture content in walls and searching for any signs of mold. He found some minor issues, but concluded that they didn't need mitigation at this time as long as I kept the basement dry. He further concluded that air samples / laboratory testing (which would have cost a couple hundred dollars, and which I had originally requested) wasn't necessary. He left a disinfectant solution behind with instructions on how to use it in areas between the drywall and studs, to limit some early mold growth. Despite driving out here on a chilly day and patiently talking with me and examining the basement, he didn't charge for the visit. Joe is simply a stand up guy, and Mold Gone is a stand up company. Mold issues can be scary, and one could easily be talked into performing work that isn't necessary by other companies. Mold Gone doesn't do that -- they are honest and, in my experience, only recommend work if it's really required. I trust and respect Joe and his staff completely -- how often can you say that about a service provider? Mold Gone deserves every stellar review they've received on Angie's List. I wouldn't hesitate for a second in recommending them. But, obviously, it's best to avoid basement flooding in the first place, if possible!

He was very knowledgeable and respectful as he viewed our home and gave us his opinion about our mold problem. He suggested that we could make all of the changes needed ourselves and suggested ways and products that could help us in the process. He invited us to contact him/Mold Gone with any future questions/concerns/needs. I was impressed and relieved that he didn't try to force anything expensive on us, but instead was willing to empower us in the process and find for us the least expensive way to mitigate our problem. I will definitely call them again if I have future mold problems.

It went very well and no signs of mold reappearing.

We are very happy. Joe Mulieri examined mold in our attic, beneath the plywood on our roof, and identifed a major cause that an earlier mold company had missed. Joe proposed to correct the cause and to remove the mold for only a little more than the other company would have charged simply to remove the mold. A two-person Mold Gone team arrived as scheduled and worked efficiently to correct a bathroom vent that had been misdirected, and then to remove the mold that the improper vent had caused. Once the mold was gone, the team applied a preventative coat that will inhibit mold growth in the future on the affected areas of the roof. Joe and his team were skillful, friendly, communicative and polite. They were also thorough and quick. It was a pleasure to work with them, and we expect that our neighbors who use their services will be equally pleased.

They followed all of the Mold hygienist recommendations and protocols that were needed to get rid of the mold both on the drywall and in the air. Excellent company!

Service was excellent and extremely responsive. Very knowledgeable and friendly. At first we felt not enough dry wall had been removed from the water-damaged area; Joe returned on the weekend to remove more at no additional cost. Every effort was made to ensure we were satisfied with their work. We would use again. Highly recommended.

He arrived at the expected time. He checked out my bathroom and advised me that I did not have a mold issue at this time. He went over everything I could do to improve the air quality and moisture issues in the bathroom. While he was there, I asked him if he could check out my sump pump room for mold as well. He readily agreed to check it out. Again, no issues at this time. He did give me info on two products I could purchase at McCormick Paints to help with possible future issues. Overall, he was very helpful and informative. He even gave me a website for whole house vent cleaning. When I asked him what he required for that days visit, he said no charge. I will definately keep his business card and use his company in the future if required.

Jon was efficient, easy to work with, and knowledgeable about mold. Jon and his co-worker completed the job as agreed. Since the job went quickly, Jon voluntarily lowered the price from what was in the proposal and still accepted the Angies List coupon.

One in which allowed us to keep our customized wood paneling, which was a huge deal for us. Not only did were we able to maintain the look of our basement, but also able to manage costs through his approach. |Also, the owner offered several other tips and tricks to mitigate potential issues in the future. |The crew that came in was courteous, re-explained what would transpire, and worked very efficiently. Upon completion, the lead walked through what was repaired and the entire basement was tidied up very well. |Lastly, it is noteworthy to highlight that the Mold Gone's owner was very supportive towards military families and those that have served, offering us a discount. It was not clear if this was standard practice, but certainly welcomed and appreciated!

A team of two Mold Gone experts arrived promptly as scheduled, sealed the room, and removed the drywall, carpet, and padding. The drywall was cut out from floor to 2 feet up on most of wall #1. The Team documented the process with pictures, which they passed on to us as we were not allowed in the room once remedial work had started. After spraying the anti-mold product, the Team allowed us in and we went through the sources of the water infiltration. At this stage, the project manager came back and offered different options: (i) finish the work as scheduled with only the lower part of the wall remedied (the initial $1,900 offer), (ii) expand the work to the adjacent wall, as wall #2 could have the same mold issue, with subsequent reconstruction by Mold Gone ($3,200+$1800), or (iii) same as (ii) with no reconstruction work by Mold Gone. We opted for the third option. The work had started on a Friday morning, and work finished around 1:30pm, to resume on the next day with a larger 4-man team. Starting at 7:30am, They finished all removal and remediation by 10 am. However, we had to find a drywall team in emergency on a Saturday afternoon just before Christmas! (the drywall reconstruction and painting finally came to $1,000). Mold Gone is a professional group, diligent, intelligent, and they know what they are doing. It was great that they could change the job offer in the middle of the remediation work. They gave us different options, and we felt, indeed, that we had many options. They arrived on time, were courteous, and were prompt to explain and document all the steps of the remediation work. They thoroughly educated us on the intricacies and complexity of mold remedial work. A great team!

Joe and his team were fantastic! I had a small flood in my basement (resulting from my neighbor's contractor's work). Joe came out the very next morning after I called. He walked me through the process, provided an estimate, and sent a contract detailing the work. The team that showed up on the day was incredible! There were 5 guys. They tore out existing drywall, remediated for mold, contained the area, replaced approximately 3 feet of dry wall with mold resistant drywall, rebuilt the molding at the bottom of the wall, and painted the entire area. They were incredibly accommodating, moved everything around and put it back into place when finished. The full job took ~8 hours. Their estimates were a Lot less than another contractor who wanted to do the work, but more than anything, I was comfortable that they were well versed and experienced in the process and their work. I would have absolutely no reservations recommending them to anyone. They would be the first that I would call should I have any future issues. What a great, professional, skilled team!! DEFINITELY use them.

I called MoldGone to come to my house to evaluate if I might have a mold issue. Jon Gordon, one of the owners, came to the house - exactly on time, to conduct the inspection. The first thing he did was inform me that the inspection was complementary. Jon did a complete inspection of my house, concentrating on areas of particular concern to me. He used moisture meters so that he was able to gather and provide me quantitative data. Jon was very professional, polite and informative. I will not hesitate to use his team for any services I need.

Excellent. I would call these guys for every mold issue I have from now on. They are honest, reliable, and were extremely well educated. Three years ago when I bought this house we had a mold problem; I was a first time home buyer who went thru ads to find someone to do mold remediation. It's obvious it didn't work and that's why we have the current issue. I can't tell you how much more I learned in 20 minutes with Joe than I did in the week of mold "remediation" that was done with a previous contractor. Thank you so much to Joe for coming out and taking the time with the contractor and I. We will call you first if we ever have issues again (fingers crossed we don't!!).

Mold Gone performed above our expectations. We were dismayed to find mold in our storage room and contacted Mold Gone to determine the extent of the problem. While it was a little difficult to schedule the initial meeting (they take appointments by email, but do not seem to check email regularly), when Mike arrived he was very straight-forward and professional. He recommended treating the room with an anti-microbial solution and, if we wished, painting the room with dry lock to better prevent mold growth in the future. Within 24 hours, he provided a written description of the work and estimate. We agreed to go with Mike's recommended treatment and the dry lock. We were able to schedule this work within days, and yesterday a team of three professionals arrived promptly at 8:30 a.m. I had to leave for work, so briefly described the issue. When it came to some old, ugly shelves that were left by the previous owner, they volunteered to remove them. After nearly 5 hours of work, I was left with a pristine white box -- all of the contents were treated and neatly organized and all walls, including the ceiling, were painted white with dry lock. I did not expect to get a virtually remodeled room as a bonus with the unhappy task of remediating mold, but that is what Mold Gone gave me. I am very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

Mr. Gordan responded promptly to my call this morning after mold was discovered after old vanity was removed. Mr. Gordan informed me that damage from mold could be easily repaired and gave instructions which will be carried aout by contractor prior to installation of new vanity. Mr. Gordan did not charge for his inspection.

Jon was terrific. He was very professional and provided us with expert advice that we trusted. We have two small children at home and have been very worried about the possibility of mold. I would definitely hire his company again!!

He concluded I had nothing to worry about after the inspection. Was on time, polite and even gave me some tips. Will be doing some air quality testing in the spring with them since my son has developed allergies. Nice to see I have a company I can trust in my back pocket.
