Kevin and Gustavo arrived on time and finished ahead of schedule. In taking off the drywall and mouldings, they were able to ascertain that the cause of the basement's mold problem was poor grading. In a week or so Mold Gone will also take care of the re-build, over which I mentioned several other concerns?such as ensuring ventilation in the closet space that had been affected by the mold. Kevin assured me that they can take care of this and several other concerns that I mentioned. His exact words are not those you hear often these days (at least not with sincerity): "We are just glad to help." It has all been very easy and they have been helpful, polite and responsive throughout. They took great pains to clean up and left the basement in a better state than it was in when they arrived. I recommend them very highly.

We called Jon with concerns about our basement as we found mold while doing renovation. He came out the same day we called and was on time. He told us that we didn't really need his services as our mold issue wasn't too bad. Gave us a check off list of how we could clean it up ourselves for much cheaper than he would charge. He only charged us $50 for his visit instead of the advertised $125 initial assessment fee advertised on his website. We were impressed with his professionalism, honesty and integrity. Would call him again if we ever have problems and will refer him to others.

Scheduling the appointment went well. The technician came, he was good inspector and very knowledgeable. However, the treatments were very expensive.

They were great. Performed all work and cleaned up after. I would definitely recommend them.

After inspecting the area in question, he let us know that we did not have a mold problem. And no major mold removal service was needed. He recommended that we use a certain type of paint that is like a fundicidal coating in a very small area that he has inspected. He did not charge us for the inspection or the evaluation. He was very courteous and professional. We called him for a second estimate because another company had come out and gave us an estimate of $1451.89. It made no sense to us which is why we requested a second estimate from MoldGone. We are very happy that we did. If we ever have a problem again, we will certainly all MoldGone.

Mr. Gordon showed up and did a thorough examination and provided advice on what I should do next. Because my damage was minimal and there didn't appear to be any mold growth he recommended that I didn't need his services! Such honesty was refreshing. I think other businesses would try to tell me I needed their services and give me the hard sell, but Mr. Gordon's honesty and professionalism was greatly appreciated. I am thankful that he didn't try to sell me a service that I didn't need. Overall, I was very impressed with Mr. Gordon and this company.

We recently bought an old, musty house, and the smell is bothering me on a deep level. Mr. Gordon went through the whole house and gave me valuable suggestions for things we can do to address the general mustiness issue. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and reassuring. He is putting together a proposal for some things he can do in the basement once we address some water problems down there. It is a relief to know that there will be a long-term answer for our smelly, damp basement surfaces, since those smells are noticeable upstairs as well. This initial visit was well worth the cost. Based on this one experience, seems to me that Jon Gordon is a gem. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!

Last fall I discovered mold in the corner of my guest room due to condensation from my air conditioning unit. Jon Gordon came to provide a free evaluation/estimate. He was precisely on time. He quickly assessed the damage, told me exactly what I needed to do to get rid of the mold, and then told me point blank that I didn't need to hire him; any carpet repairman who dealt with minor mold situations could do the work. How often does someone do a free evaluation and then tell you someone else could easily do the job?? I tried to compensate him for his time but he refused and, with a smile, said a handshake would do. Although I did end up using a carpet repair company to do the small mold remediation job, I would call MoldGone again in a second if I had another mold problem and would recommend this company to anyone without hesitation. I wish everyone in the service industry was like this!

Jon was extremely helpful throughout the process. He came out for a free estimate, suggested that the mold situation probably didn't warrant them overseeing it, but I was insistent. They came out and did a very professional and punctual job of containing the area to avoid mold spores being distributed throughout my house. They accidentally pealed paint from my wall, which is a tiny amount, and offered a rebate or to fix the paint, which was appreciated but unnecessary. A very well run business. I would definitely recommend them to others

I didnt need to use the deal because they had came out and did a free estimate, no inspection was needed. The service was good.

Jon was prompt, even early. I was hustling home from a downtown meeting and was even a few minutes late. He was not miffed at my tardiness and he greeted me and was prepared to work as soon as I arrived. He also called ahead, which I appreciated. From the start, I felt like he respected my time. During the walk through and inspection, he was instructive and thorough. He didn't speak in industry jargon or in terms I could not understand. He was kind and took the time to explain specific problems that might arise and experiences he has been through with similar apartments. I always appreciate contractors/vendors that are very clear about what is happening, what they are seeing, and what they can do to help (and what they can't do in some cases). Jon was very professional and matter-of-fact. We took air samples throughout the basement and my home. He explained clearly what these were meant to do and inform as far as next steps to mitigate or remedy whatever the lab tests reveal. Based on this so far, I would hire Mold Gone again for remediation purposes and certainly to continue to test my home to ensure indoor air quality for my family. I highly recommend working with this company.

Excellent--great work by real professionals! The mold inspection was detailed, thorough--pointing out areas of real concern, while identifying other water-damaged areas not of mold concern. The mold remediation work was impressive--very precise, neat cuts of the drywall in various areas, as well as of tile and wetwall in our master bath, followed by thorough application of mold killer-retardant. They made the reconstruction process a lot easier for our contractor.

Jon spent at least 20 minutes at the house explaining what he was checking for. We did notice that there was a likely leak in the shower where we thought the mold might be. I am going to have a plumber out to check that and then I will call Jon back to check the floor between the two levels near the shower. I would definitely recommend Jon. He is sincere and knowledgable. I had a mold test done in January that he reviewed and answered my questions. I would use Jon again.

Service went well. Source of mold was thought to be a leaky pipe from the past. Hiring a company to install new flooring and replace cabinets since floor and cabinets had to be removed.

Mold Gone was responsive, professional, courteous, and clean. I had a question about the work and they were back within a couple of days to make a small adjustment. I would recommend them to anyone needing mold remediation.

Service provider was very professional and looked for the most economical approach to address our issue. Unfortunately neglected to send the written report. I had forgotten about it and remembered 2weeks later. Received the report that day with an apology for the delay.

He checked the outside of the house for sources of moisture that may get into the house. He made several recommendation to help eliminate the musty smell and any mold that may be present. I would definitely recommend Mold Gone for mold inspections

It went very well. The experience was fine. We had water damage in the basement during construction, so, we just wanted to find out all the water damage spots and mold damage, so we could fix it.

These guys were great. Our home inspection revealed a small mold problem in our basement so I called Mold Gone to come check it out. They found several other locations of mold that the home inspector missed and we agreed that more investigation was needed. They removed a 2 foot section of drywall from the basement perimeter and discovered an extensive mold situation in the basement bathroom and kitchen that we had no idea existed. They removed all mold-infested drywall and cabinetry and treated the wood to prevent further issues. They also left us with a fix list of potential sources of water that caused the mold in the first place. After they treated the wood beams in the ceiling there was an odor that crept up into the house. They came back that night with a hepa filter and even offered for us to stay at a hotel to avoid the fumes. It wasn't necessary but nice of them to offer. This was an extensive project, more than any of us expected, but they did a great job. I hope not to have to use them again in the future but wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or use again if needed.

Jon was great. We coordinated appt times via email. He was punctual and knew what to do. Even though we wanted the full walkthrough and testing, he encouraged us to only do the air sampling - he still ended up doing almost a full walkthrough of the house and only charged the air sampling price. The report showed a slight elevation in the basement so we used them for remediation. The 2nd appt took a bit longer to coordinate. But, overall, great service!

The technician was very professional and courteous, and very prompt as well. He was totally honest with me in telling me that there were no mold concerns in the basement, when I had been expecting that he would find mold in this 80 year old house. He could have sold me an expensive mold remediation service, and I would not have been the wiser. He did not. He also followed up with a written report in a timely manner. You can trust this company! You will also get a good deal; I think the price was very reasonable for the service provided.
