Assessed the problem quickly and gave a through plan. Didn't try to up sell unnecessary services. Very nice team. They sounded as if they were having a ton of fun removing my mold :), seriously I wanted to go join them.

I had a mold problem in my two upstairs bathrooms. I requested Mold Gone to come in and evaluate the problem and propose a plan to fix it. The young man, Jon Gordon, from Mold Gone was professional. He put a meter to my walls and assessed the problem as black mold. He recommended an extensive remediation solution including isolating the infected areas with plastic barriers while working, removing all mold damaged trim and drywall, removing mold damaged insulation, coating surfaces with a fungicidal encapsulate, installing new drywall and prepping walls for finished painting. Also, all debris would be bagged and removed. The total cost would be $3,500. Of course I was taken back, so I got a second opinion from another mold assessment company. This individual who doesn't do the work himself assessed the mold problem as non-serious. He believed it was just a common leaf mold which was on the surface only. It could be sanded off and the surface repainted with a special mold-resistant paint....which I had done. I am very happy with the fix and saved myself a lot of money.

Did a very thorough job and was very clear about what needed to be done. We had to give the report to the landlord and still may have to forward to the landlord tenant commission if repairs are not done.

The provider showed up on time and was friendly. But let me know I did not need the inspection I had purchased. So he told me to contact Angie's List for a refund.

After experiencing severe water damage in my home, I checked Angie's list and found Mold Gone. I read all the reviews and they seemed to be the perfect solution to my URGENT problem, upon my insurance companies request, I called immediately for assistance. I left a message on the phone requesting a call back. I NEVER received a call back and had to find another company.

Work was performed professionally and timely. They found more than initially expected. Mike called immediately. Described the additional work involved and cost. And his crew performed the required work. Very pleased with the service and would recommend for jobs large and small.

My experience was good. They were able to find a problem that we could not find the source to. It took them two days to complete the work. The supervisor, Mike, was really professional and has the credentials to handle mold. I would advise to remove all personal jewelry items and delicate antiques.

We hired Mike at Mold Gone to address some mold issues that were popping up in the basement of our Reston, VA townhouse. Mike came out within a day or two of our initial call, and from the get-go we could tell he was very knowledgeable and takes great pride in his work. He was very quickly able to identify the precise problem that was causing the mold, and he was back within a couple days to address it. We have not had any mold since! Mike was a pleasure to work with, and Mold Gone's rates are very reasonable. We would recommend Mold Gone to anyone (and did recommend them already to a neighbor that is also having mold problems in their basement).

During an appraisal of my house, a patch of mold was found on the laundry room wall. Closing on the refinance of my house was scheduled to take place in two weeks and in that time I needed to get the mold treated and to have the appraiser come out to inspect the job. I called Mold Gone and they responded quickly. They came out to inspect the problem, gave an estimate, and scheduled the work to happen in two days. Their willingness to work within my time constraints was impressive. I was also very impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and honesty. The quality of the work is excellent. I didn't expect the wall to look so good after the treatment was complete. They scraped off old dry-loc paint that had bubbled and left the wall smooth and clean. The laundry room was cleaner after they left than when they arrived.

I didn't get any service from this company because I changed my mind but they were prompt in responding to my emails and scheduling appointments and very professional.

Mike, the COO, came out to do an assessment of my mold issue. I have some mold around my shower. Another company had given me an estimate for remediation, and I might have gone with them. But Mike suggested two options, neither of which was remediation. He said that I could either seal everything up, and health-wise that would be sufficient and would contain the problem; or re-build the shower, which is the better solution but obviously more costly. He offered to send me an estimate for the rebuild, but was clear that his company probably couldn't beat the price of a general contractor. So, effectively, he didn't try to sell me service that I don't need, and he stated clearly that his cost would be higher to do the work than others. I really appreciated his honesty, especially when his company won't get anything out of it. I hope never to have to, but I will call them again if I need their service again.

I'd been concerned for several months about the possibility of mold developing in the bathroom, finally decided to act since the homeowner was dawdling. I selected Mold Gone, in part because of the coupon. I contacted them through AL but, while waiting for a reply, went ahead and purchased the $125 special (comprehensive mold or water damage inspection). With no availability for the 3 dates I chose, I decided it was important enough to reroute my schedule for the next morning and took their next available opening. Jon arrived on time and, after a few questions about my concerns, got right to work sampling the air and inspecting the bathroom tub. He explained away the funny smell I sometimes notice, made recommendations on how to keep the basement mold free and commended the work of the mold remediation company that salvaged our basement six years ago. We were both happy at the end of the inspection. The problem that he found in circumstances like ours usually meant remediation. It made both our days to find that, nothing more was needed (besides me doing a little caulking). Nice, sunny, good start to the day!

A small patch of mold became visible in the corner of our bedroom. Jon came over to take a look, ran some moisture tests, and diagnosed the problem as a pinhole leak from the roof and said we had nothing to worry about. He didn't charge and even took the time to check the moisture in a wall where we had some other leakage. He was honest and professional. Would definitely recommend.

They came out the day after I contacted them. They took care of the problem. They were very professional and helped me find the source of the problem. They also told me they would do the reconstruction after I took care of how the water was getting in.

Mike returned my initial call on a weekend and provided a quote promptly, and as promised. He was flexible enough to perform the needed remediation on my schedule, and continued to return phone calls and messages promptly. The final certification came just a day later. Fantastic work, excellent customer service, and competitive pricing.

Mike gave an estimate and remediated a small area in the basement laundry room. He also visually inspected the rest of the laundry room for signs of mold. They were able to start the work very promptly, which was important to me because we are refinancing. He was a little late for the remediation appointment, however, notified me of the delay and was very courteous. The wall looks amazing - like mold was never there. He also gave good tips on general maintenance and use of dehumidifier. Highly recommend!

Jon showed up on time and was very efficient and pleasant. He conducted a visual inspection of the space, entered the crawl space to do the same and took measurements. Our home inspector missed some critical water seepage/moisture intrusion and mold issues in our new home that we have been in less than a month. We realized the issue only after 9 days of being there. John gave me some hope that gutting our entire finished basement is not necessary. He seemed genuine and honest. This was a very positive first impression. We will have to see how things play out with quotes as we are looking at some demo work, some remediation and waterproofing. I'll keep everyone posted.

They did really good work at a reasonable price. They were really great at communicating their schedule and showing up on time. The best part of working with Mold Gone is when we had to work with another contractor to resolve a water issue, they were willing to work around our schedule. We had to leave our wall open for a while to make sure that the water issue was resolved. The owner came by and actually lent us a dehumidifier and was willing to wait several months before we closed up the wall. It's just so great how willing they were to work with us to serve our needs.

The work crew showed up at the agreed upon time. They were very thorough and efficient. They removed all the molded drywall and cleaned my basement with a solution that kills mold. They repainted the drywall which they replaced. They removed all items from my basement which were exposed to mold spores and hauled them away. They left my basement in impeccably clean condition. They were a pleasure to deal with at all points of contact. Their prices were more than competitive.

Very professional. Came on time. Set up the air quality tests, explained everything to us. Responded to all our questions. Delivered the results in a timely manner. Report was detailed and came with an explanation of his recommendations. Overall very good experience with Mold Gone.

Mold Gone determined that the problem was temporary likely caused by a gutter overflowing during a storm. Mold Gone checked every basement wall for moisture level and also carefully analyzed the wall surface for evidence of mold. Mold Gone explained how mold could form based upon high moisture levels, but found no evidence any mold. Mold Gone provided a certificate of no mold evident.

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Jon and Mold Gone. When I initially called Jon, he said he was on a service call and asked me to send him an e-mail with my request. He responded to my e-mail the same day, provided a summary of initial visit services and their corresponding prices, and even suggested we schedule the visit for the next day. Jon called the morning of the visit. He let me know he was running ahead of schedule and asked if he could come early. He looked at the dots on the walls in the basement and took moisture readings at several spots on the walls. He was very confident that we did not have a mold issue, which was very reassuring. He was very patient in answering all of my questions. While we did not have an actual mold issue, I would not hesitate to call Jon if we have any issues (knock on wood) in the future. And I would not hesitate to refer Jon's company to any of my friends or family.
