They messaged me and said they do not service my area.

They did the inspection, but their costs were too high to remediate it and they were too expensive to remove it

It was a pleasure working with Mike Mulieri from MoldGone. He was responsive and flexible with scheduling my appointment, and kept me updated on the day of service as to his arrival time. Although he arrived later than he expected due to a previous job running overtime, I was aware of it because of his communication. The inspection was thorough and his explanations were honest and helpful. He made suggestions to me that could reduce the possibility of mold spores growing in the room of concern. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable, and if I need further testing or remediation I will certainly call him and use his company to do the work.

Completely satisfied. We had to reschedule because the date didn't work out. Once started it took 2 days to complete and it was brilliant. The house was built back in 1915. They had to demolish part of one wall and put that back and cleaned the duct work for the heating and air system. They did the wall one on day and came back next day to clean the ducts.

The basement was checked for mold and damp. No damp was found but a few spots of white mold were discovered on a shelf and under the stairs. We treated this with a disinfectant and cleaner. We were advised to use a dehumidifier in the warmer months in the future. No further treatment was called for.

I have a little problem with the rep. They're number one on the list that I only got their estimate but I was really pleased with all the reviews on Angie's List and he was ringing the bell, useful, very helpful, very professional, got the estimate that day. I'm just going to get these other estimates and then I could assist you. I would use them in the future.

Based on his inspection of the areas that caused our concern, Mike candidly told us that an air-quality test probably was not necessary, but offered to do one if we insisted. He also offered to send us an estimate for replacing the damaged cabinets and recommended some options that would probably reduce our costs when we decide to remodel the kitchen. We will certainly contact this business in the future when we remodel.

Jon was a consummate professional and great to work with. He arrived to the property inspection on time and conducted a thorough inspection of all four floors of my house (including a basement). He showed me several places in which I would need to take some remedial steps and recommended the best products for the work (which he told me I could do myself). I appreciated that he paid particularly close attention to the rooms underneath areas of roof that appeared to be in disrepair; the negative results Jon saw helped confirm the home inspector's opinion that the bad roof had not yet leaked and caused any hidden damage. Jon delivered his report quickly and was very responsive in answering my questions and helping me interpret the report. When I needed a receipt almost a month after service, Jon responded with the necessary document within minutes. Great company and I'd highly recommend!

Overall, I was very happy with the service. I was out of town when the service was done and it turned out that one section of the wall was missed. I contact Jon when I came home and realized the error. He was very responsive, which is unusual in DC once a contractor has received full payment. Jon quickly scheduled his team to come back out and resolve the problem. His team was professional and polite. They did great work and even cleaned up after themselves when they were done. I highly recommend using Mold Gone.

Jon was fast, nice, punctual, and professional. He even charged me less than the quoted $50 because the job was so easy! He gave me peace of mind that I didn't have a bigger problem. He also told us the best solution to buy to remediate for ourselves and where to get it in DC.

I was in the late stages of my house sale and one of the last inspection items was for mold remediation. As I do with all home contractors, I got 3 quotes to better understand the situation and evaluate pricing. The mold issue was limited to my unfinished basement, which was large but did not have any drywall or other obstacles to remediation. The work was primarily heavy-duty scrubbing of all joists and support beams with high-grade disinfectants, bringing in air scrubber machines, fogging, and a few other procedures. The mold lab analysis, as well as the visual inspection, showed very low mold levels, but I still needed to get it done. Mold Gone?s quote was the lowest and was also the most thorough, as they included the cost of post-remediation lab analysis in order to ensure that the remediation procedures were effective. The other quotes from the other two companies were much higher and it was obvious that both salesmen there smelled blood when they know that I was selling the house and needed to get this done to close out my inspection requests. Joe, one of the owners, was kind enough to come to my house on a Sunday to give me a quote, and he was involved throughout the entire process, including coming onsite to oversee the start of the project and coming to pick up the air scrubbers a couple days later. Overall, I was extremely pleased with Mold Gone and Joe. I can tell that they really care about their customers and are not interested in using scare tactics to price gouge, which I learned is common in the mold remediation industry. I would definitely recommend Mold Gone.

I was unable to take off of work so my father met Jon. My Dad is a tough audience but was very impressed with Jon's knowledge and honesty. Jon did a thorough job with his inspection of not only the area I was concerned with but my crawl space too. He determined that I did not have a huge problem but did give me different options of how to proceed. He was extremely easy to contact and keep me informed with emails. I would definitely contact Mold Gone again and recommend them to friends and neighbors.

He was honest and gave us advise on how to deal with the situation. He was extremely affordable.

We had a pipe burst in our house. We weren't sure if it had been leaking for a while or if it was just sudden. Jon came out to inspect the damage and found no mold. He was courteous and professional. Also dog friendly. It was the best $50 I've spent on not having something done. Worth the piece of mind. I would very much recommend him to anyone who has a mold problem or even just needs an inspection done.

Jon did an excellent job start to finish. He was polite and professional from the first call. He found a time slot to stop by within a day. He showed up exactly on time. He explained the procedure. Answered a number of my questions. The then quickly conducted the tests both in my home and outside (for control purposes). When I went to pay him he asked in a found them on Angie's list and then proactively offered me the discount. The entire experience was efficient and professional and gave me a lot of confidence in their work. Given this experience, I will also be using them for duct cleaning in the future. If only all other contractors could be as thoughtful and competent. Great work.

He was prompt and very thorough with the inspection. Since then we have spoken several times by phone, they have always been responsive and very helpful in providing additional consultative advice.

We had water damage in one of our bathrooms. When I called MoldGone, they replied promptly and scheduled a visit within 2 days. Jon Gordon was very knowledgeable and responsive. We wanted to have the remediation done quickly so that we could proceed with a planned remodel, and Jon was very responsive. He scheduled a remediation which included removing bathtub, floor tiles, toilet and drywall and repairing subfloor. The remediation team was very professional and did a very thorough job. MoldGone was terrific.

I could not have asked for a better contractor or a better outcome. Discovering mold in our basement completely freaked me out, and I feared the worst. The first company I called told me to stay out of the basement, and that the mold was probably "airborne" if I saw it on items that were above the floor area. I did not end up using this company because they primarily contacted me through email, and I do not check email multiple times a day....so when an appointment I made with them to check the mold was cancelled by them via email, I was waiting for an hour and considered it a no show. And despite multiple phone calls to their office during this waiting time (and they were supposedly still in the office)were not answered, so I called Angie's List and asked for another company. It was a good decision, because Moldgone came out within two days to assess the mold; and even before they came I was told most mold is not dangerous, and that the other company's statement about the mold being airborne and to stay out of the basement was a scare tactic. The young man named Jon, whom I believe started the company, came out himself, and he immediately told us the mold was not in the walls and not dangerous, and we could even take care of it ourselves (and how to do it). Who does that? Only a very honest and reputable contractor who sincerely wants to help people with his knowledge, whether he makes money or not. By the next day we had an estimate, and it was so reasonable that we never gave a thought to doing it ourselves.....and who wants to rip out all that carpet and dispose of it....it would have taken forever. And I would always have worried whether we did a good enough job or not. Our remediation was scheduled for three weeks later, and during the interim, Jon kept in touch and always got back to me quickly when I had a question or concern. The day of the remediation four men came to the house on time, and the job was finished in half a day. The basement was left clean and all traces of mold were gone. We were very happy and would recommend this company to anyone with a mold issue.

He gave me an estimate on the mold removal . The contract was all one sided..in favor of the company and he never followed up with me.. Some of his assumptions were totally incorrect.

He was easy to communicate with, punctual, and professional. He struck me as very honest. Luckily, he found no mold needing treatment.

Great! He hit it with the moisture sensor and then told us what to by to get rid of it and even waived the visit fee. What a great company, very professional, courteous and prompt! Will use again!

Jon Gordon came to inspect my house within days of initial contact. He was very professional and reassuring. He came back with his team soon after and removed all mold.

Not only did everything go great.. They are as honest as the day is long.. They came out as planned and inspected my attic.. Much to my dismay, they advised me that there was no mold and it was normal to see these types of blemishes in an attic area. When it was all said and done, they did not charge me a penny.. Now mind you, there had to be at least 20$ in gas alone!!!! What an honest great group of people!! My sincere appreciation goes out to the entire organization.
