I called Jon to set up a visit to check out our mold. He very quickly responded to my request for an appointment and offered multiple types of visits. I just wanted him to come and take a look and make an estimate for what it would take to take care of the mold. He was able to fit us in the next day and gave us a 1 hour window in which he would come. He was very prompt and efficient. He quickly assessed our situation, and was incredibly nice and professional. He let us know that while we had mold, it really wasn't absolutely necessary to do anything about it due to the type, location, etc. of the mold. He wrote up a proposal for us though, and there was no cost to any of this. If we ever had an issue in the future, we would absolutely use Mold Gone-I sincerely appreciate Jon's work and would trust them to take care of a problem.

Mold removal and remediation, thorough debris and trash removal from area and cleanup and repair afterward. The basement was left in MUCH better condition than when they arrived.

Jon was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and performed the services in a prompt and professional manner. He even gave me advice on how to minimize the cost, which I greatly appreciated.

They took air samples. They are going to get back to me on what needs to be completed. The person that came was clear in helping us understand what he was going to do. He was intelligent, and clear and was the best anyone could hope for when explaining what is happening.

I contacted them, but they said they didn’t do the type of work I was looking for. However, they did respond to me quickly.

Upon visual inspection they've realized that color growth was not mold. They also advised to replace caulking and recommended a better type. They are very honest and professional. Highly recommended.

The work crew took many photos during the mold removal process, to document their work and the various chemicals they used to kill and remove the mold. I hope to use these ito persuade my homeowners insurance to pay for this water damage repair. The crew was appropriately dressed, respectful, and worked consistently and conscientiously until the work was completed. We discovered that the mold did not travel as far as we feared (thankfully!), and the workmen finished in one day. Mold gone carefully explained the work process, possible problems, and cost to me ahead of time, and there were no surprises. The work was completed faster than expected and my house was clean when they left. Great Job!

It was a good experience. They did find mold and gave use a quote for the job. We haven't done anything with it yet. They were professional and were knowledgeable. I liked how he presented himself.

Joe arrived 5 minutes early for appointment window which was great first start. Joe examined the situation in detail and explained what caused the problem. For our situation he said that while I could hire his company to do the work, I could do the work myself and save a lot of money. He explained what I needed to get and how to remove the mold. For the amount (small area) of mold we have (and type) I agreed with Joe that I could remove it ourselves - an easy project this weekend. While we did not pay for any service, I would recommend Mold Gone. Only a reputable business would off how to fix a problem without charging for it in these types of situations. While I hope I never have a real mold issue in the future, if I do I would certainly call Mold Gone again.

I needed mold testing due to basement water damage. Chris from Mold Gone was able to make an appointment for the following day. He arrived right on time, was very friendly and professional. He explained exactly what he was going to do and when I would hear back with the results. The next day (as expected) he emailed me a detailed report for my insurance company and a paid invoice. Fortunately, everything was okay; no mold problems. But, if I had needed remediation services, I definitely would have continued with Mold Gone. I am very happy with the outstanding service I received.

They were very professional and honest. I was relieved that he was very thorough and inspected some very hard to reach areas. He gave me good news and I was relieved that he was ethical and knowledgeable. He told me ways to avoid mold and sent me all the information via email as well as at the appointment. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

They did a great job of identifying the mold, but I was surprised to hear that it would cost extra to have samples tested. They also could have done a better job with the quote for repairs given. It was higher than the one that I chose.

John thoroughly explained type of mold on wall (and a little on ceiling) and proposed treatment plan. Plan included scaling mold off wall and treating all basement walls with mold resistant coating. Also fog bomb of entire basement. Crew came out on time for appointment and sealed basement off with heavy plastic sheeting. They also used sheeting to protect our things in the basement. They ran a large hepa filter during the work and vacuumed everything up from the flor (even old dust and dirt that had been down there for a while). The job was done in a very professional manner by a polite and courteous crew. And when we went to pay Jon gave us 10% off for being an Angie!s List member. Great company and great people. I highly recommend if you need a mold inspection or treatment.

Everything went well, from scheduling to providing a good diagnostic report. Mike showed up on time and he was very professional and knowledgeable.

We had a pipe burst a little over a week ago, flooding our entire first floor. Significant water also went down into the crawlspace below. The water remediation company (NOT Mold Gone) had wrapped up and the renovations were about to begin, so I called in Mold Gone to give an independent evaluation of the work while we were between the two stages. First, I was impressed how professional Mike was with the situation. Clearly if something was found, I was going to go back to the original company to fix it (or at least try) since it was their work and warranty/guarantee. In spite of this, Mike was very willing to check the work and agreed it was a smart thing to do. Other companies might have pressured us, or passed on such a small job, but I was treated with respect and was complimented on being proactive. He arrived on time and gave a thorough inspection of the dried out first floor and the space underneath. Happily, all was well, and Mike took the time to explain everything he saw and looked for. He made a few suggestions for some additional work and tweaks that would help in the long run, but what he really offered was peace of mind and some comfort after a pretty harrowing experience. Again, I can't stress the professionalism enough...he gave clear information, listed some options without pressuring us, and seemed genuinely interested in reassuring us that things had gone well. I wouldn't hesitate to call Mold Gone back if I ever want something checked out, and would recommend them in a heartbeat to others.

2/5/15: $125 Comprehensive Mold or Water Damage Inspection 2/16/15: Jon arrived on time for the mold inspection appointment. He listened to my concerns of past water intrusion and the fact that during recent waterproofing mold was discovered. Jon inspected the areas of concern and provided advice for future mold prevention. 2/19/15: Provided the much desired Certificate of Visual Mold Inspection report. Findings Summizared: "Although no visible mold remains, the exposed wall cavity can be painted with Aftershock fungicidal coating, available at McCormick Paints locations. Use of proper PPE is recommended during this process. MoldGone recommends running a 70-pint dehumidifier in the basement during the more humid, summer months to control the indoor humidity levels and prevent future mold growth." The process was short and sweet. Jon was extremely responsive and professional.

So we bought a house and had an inspection, only to discover that our inspector was less than thorough on a great many things. One of our most exciting surprises was discovering mold under a window partially covered by peeling paint (a simply peel back revealed it once we started looking more closely at the house). We were PANICKED and called Mold Gone based on the Angie's List reviews. Mike came out within two days and inspected everthing. He indicated that the mold was not as bad as it looked, but said that the window needed to be replaced. He found minor issues in the basement and said they could be treated with Lysol. While Mike said that Mold Gone did remediation (no surprise with the name), he recommended just using a general contractor because (1) a GC would be significantly cheaper as Mold Gone required certain permits, insurance, etc that increased the price; and (2) the project really only required replacing the plaster. He still sent a proposal (at my request), but we did end up using the GC as we were already having work done on our house. I hope that I never have to use Mold Gone again, but would definitely definitely call them again if it was necessary.
