Joe and his team at MoldGone were fantastic! We had a bad case of mold behind our wall from a roof leak. It took a little while to get on their calendar, but I think that's just because they do good business and are in high demand. But the work they did was fantastic. They got rid of all our mold and water damage, replaced the part of the drywall they had to tear out, and then repainted. You can't even tell where the work was done. They did everything in a day, which I found really impressive. And they were also really helpful at dealing with our insurance. Overall, a great company -- professional, reasonably priced, and quick!

Jon was very professional and pleasant. He was very kind to our interested toddlers following him around. He showed up on time, answered all of our questions patiently, and provided a report with recommendations shortly after his visit.

The workers were very professional and hardworking. And they worked very quickly. It didn't take them anytime to complete the work and get it ready for painting.

Jon checked the moisture levels on the walls and ceiling of the bathroom. In addition, he checked my humidifier in the lower level of my home. He recommended a paint specific for mold and recommended a dehumidifier to eliminate the possibility of mold.

Excellent in every way. No intervention was needed and the technician was professional and personable. I would definitely call them again if I had concerns about water damage or mold.

Jon came out and did an air quality analysis and check for mold damage. A few days later we received the result of the air quality anaylsis and also an estimate for the work. The itemized estimate was thorough enough to submit to my homeowner's insurance to cover. Both Jon and the contractor were very professional. Jon really took time to answer all of my elderly mom's questions.

Jon from Mold Gone came out to inspect an area in the basement that I was concerned about. It was in the play area of the basement so I really wanted to make sure it was safe for my kids. First, the communication leading up to the visit was great. We worked with one another to find a time that worked. He was professional, helpful and very knowledgeable about helping me figure out what was going on. We also went through some other area I wanted checked out. First class all the way!

Very pleased with MoldGone. Ordered the $125 mold inspection offer on Angie's List due to concern over potential mold growth in our basement. We were finishing the basement in the near future and wanted to make sure there were no problems before we put up drywall. Very easy/quick to schedule a date/time for them to come out for the inspection (the service provider, Mike, found minor mold growth in one area of the basement) and then a date/time the following week for the treatment. My only issue was that Mike arrived about an hour and a half past our scheduled window of time for the treatment, but he did notify me that he was running behind and gave me a discount due to his lateness. He completed a cleaning and treatment/sealing of the area. Mike was able to process my credit card payment right then and there with his portable machine. Mike was very friendly and professional. While I hope I don't have to, I would certainly use MoldGone again in the future!

The representative arrived on time and was friendly, courteous and exhibited a professional demeanor. He inspected a bedroom to which my grandson seemed to be sensitive to (he is asthmatic). He determined that there did not appear to be a mold problem behind the walls. He took an air sample and returned a report via email within a week. The report displayed the type and volume of the various microorganisms found. Removal of carpet and padding, as well as some old speakers that showed some sign of mold, was recommended. I was most pleased with this entire process.

The remediation went very smoothly. The men were on time, courteous and very thorough. Where they worked , they taped that area off in plastic to protect the house and the people living in it. They had to remove moldy items, a lot of moldy drywall, all the moldy tile in a bathroom and a huge moldy bathroom vanity. They had a big truck parked outside to receive all the debris. Then they sprayed all the affected areas (keeping plastic in place) that had totally been stripped down so there was no trace of mold left. The air quality improved immediately. I have a mold allergy and when they were done remediating I no longer had any symptoms. They went above and beyond and they were extremely responsive to all my questions and concerns. They brought enough skilled crew to finish the work in a little over one day. Great company, great service for a fair price.

We set an appt. for 2 pm on the following day. Jon called and said due to a last minute cancellation he could come within 30 minutes of the phone call, fine with me and appreciated. He showed up on time, completed the inspection of my crawl space and told me I had a small amount of mold but nothing hazardous and nothing that needed remediation at this time. I was thrilled and he was happy to give me the good news. Very professional, very friendly. I will be very happy to give their company my business when and if I need it in the future. A very pleasant experience.

I purchased a mold inspection through Angie's List, which is how I heard about MoldGone. A MoldGone representative met me at my home on the scheduled date and did what I thought was a very superficial (meaning not thorough) inspection of the home and stated that there was obvious moisture in the basement, but it didn't look too bad. MoldGone sent a proposal to treat a small area of my basement. I scheduled the work after I had a plumbing company retrench my french drain and conduct some other drainage work. They fit me into their schedule rather quickly, about a month after the initial inspection. The team showed up on time and got ready to get to work. When water had come into my basement during the previous month, I had moved some items into my utility room and they were not stacked very well and could easily fall over. A few random things were near the area where the crew was working so they started to move them into the crowded utility room without asking me and were not careful. I was not happy with where they had placed the items and relocated them myself. I have never had this happen before - the contractor always asks if it's ok to move things before they start. Later, I heard them moving my couch around, and they were not careful at all. They just scraped it along the concrete floor rather than picking it up, even though there were two guys. They taped up the area where they were working and I was not allowed to observe, due to the possible mold spores in the area. They were done after a few hours and after glancing around, I thought everything looked okay. They showed me photos and there was a great deal of black mold in one corner. The crew stated that they cleaned it up and replaced everything. After they left, I started looking around more closely and found that they did not vacuum up the area well. I got out my shop vac and cleaned up after them. I also noticed that a baseboard that we had agreed Moldgone would replace was not replaced. It still had water stains. In the same area, the drywall was hung so that it extended all the way to the floor and was touching the concrete subfloor. I had asked them to clean an area around the door where water had repeatedly come into the house, and was assured everything would be cleaned up. That area was not cleaned so I cleaned it myself. I sent Moldgone photos of the baseboard that was clearly not replaced and they offered to come out and finish the job. I then noticed that Moldgone had disconnected my telephone lines so that the only jack working in the house was the one in the basement. I contacted them about the phone line and they offered to look into this while they were out replacing the baseboard. They were unable to fix it, so there was a charge from Verizon to come out and fix my phone line. It was a enormous hassle, having to wait around for Verizon on a Saturday morning, in addition to the two days that Moldgone had been at my house. Moldgone admitted fault and took 10% off of the bill. I also noticed that they took the liberty to take a black cable that had previously been inside a wall and moved it so that it now comes out of the drywall and back into a hole that they drilled into the box below my window. There are fresh holes both in my wall and the window box that I am quite unhappy about. No one asked me if this was okay with me and it is definitely not something I wanted them to do or expected them to do since the cable could have easily gone back inside the wall the way it was previously. In light of the above problems and because I did not want them to also mess up my cable service, I did not mention it. I have been a customer of Angie's list for several years and I have found a lot of grade inflation with contractors I hire from here. Nearly every one of them does not do the job right the first time and also breaks something unrelated in the process, such as in this case, disconnecting my phone line. With these two major errors - disconnecting my phone line and not replacing a baseboard that we agreed would be replaced - I would not recommend them or hire them again. I expected higher quality from a company that has A ratings here. As soon as the job was finished, they hounded me with daily emails about paying my invoice, asking for my credit card information. I never agreed to pay by credit card and I was not happy with being hounded by multiple emails requesting payment when I was nowhere near being past due. For this reason and the above, I am giving them a grade of "D" for professionalism.

The inspector, Jon Gordon provided a visual inspection for mold and tested the level of humidity throughout the basement of our rental property. The test results showed a very low level of humidity that is well below the acceptable level. There was no remediation required. Jon provided an inspection certificate the following day with the results of the inspection. He was prompt, polite and very knowledgeable and he provided very helpful advice to insure the humidity remains at an acceptable level.in the future. We highly recommend MoldGold and would use them in the future should we have any water or humidity issues.

Verified there is no current water source that would create mold but at an earlier time there probably was. Chris suggested that we wash questionable areas of mildew or mold down with a bleach and water mixture along with buying a dehumidifier and run at 50% humidity. He was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all of our questions.

Wrote up a report for the work that needed to be done. They were great, I was not prepared to do the work but I was happy with the service. will use them again

Initial consultation was very prompt and Mike delivered the estimate over the weekend, which I appreciated and allowed scheduling for the following week. Actual work went very smoothly. The crew was 15 minutes early and waited outside until the main guy showed up. I really appreciated that they were early b/c I hate waiting around with windows given like the cable companies. They removed and repaired a small spot of drywall in the neighboring room and confirmed there was no leaking from the exterior faucet. Covered furniture and taped/sealed up the vents to prevent any contaminants from entering the HVAC system. Very professional job

Jon Gordon came out as scheduled to do the inspection. He was prompt and professional during the service. I explained my concerns in the different areas and he showed me how he determined if there was an issue and how serious he believed it to be. He also gave me lots of feedback and general information on what to do next, what needed to be fixed. His service saved me money in that I'd had another contractor look at the problem and they wanted to charge $800 to tear down and rebuild a wall that was not the issue! I would highly recommend Jon's service.

Team is very good for removing mold; it is very responsive, and the agreed work is done well. In our case, the team found termite activity, which required another company to come and treat the house for termites. Once this was done, the affected wood was removed and the visible mold issue was addressed. However, the initial cause of the mold issue was not addressed. One year later, we have the same issue: strong mold smell. When I tested the wall for humidity, I found an exceedingly high level of humidity which indicates that there is a water entry in the wall at the same place that was initially opened and treated for mold. When informed of the problem, the company owner contacted me to come and check what needed to be done. This is an unusual response from a company as over a year elapsed, which indicates a strong dedication to work and high professionalism.

The company is extremely professional and reliable. Mike at the company is the true definition of great customer service. He was professional and went above and beyond to ensure our house was taken care of. I highly recommend this company.

My first contact was on line. I received a prompt call back. Chris came exactly when he said he would. He evaluated the flood damage to my basement. He assured me that there was not a mold problem-YET He advised that I remove carpet and padding from basement (done and to the dump) He further recommended someone who would take care of the carpet removal (we actually did it ourselves) and offered another recommendation to re--route rain runoff away from basement windows. I know you prefer "work completed" reviews but in this case, I believe the "work" was the evaluation and advice and Moldgone provided this and there was no charge. Great experience. I pray I don't ever need them, but if I do- they are the best!

I'm super impressed that Mike was willing to talk and say that he didn't think his services were needed. He easily could have come out and charged me a lot of money to tell me the same thing. I think that says a lot for the integrity of Mike and the company.
