The estimator James was very prompt in getting me quote and stayed responsive and accommodating throughout the process. The work was done 2 weeks after I got the estimate. Juan Carlos and his team did great job. They were very polite and professional, and worked really hard. Overall great experience.

The bid came in as the most affordable, particularly after I negotiated the price against other offers. The initial sales call was informative and professional. There was a problem getting in the siding itself, so work was delayed first one week and then two days, and they were not great about communicating this to me or when to expect people to come by and look at it. Also, every time one of the members of the crew came by ahead of time to say what they would need to order, it was as if they had not talked to the sales person, because I would have to explain again that Tyvek was needed over the whole area... In the end, the work itself looks great, and they were able to get 20' long pieces, so there are no seams across the back of my house, so it looks great. The suggestion I would make is to make sure you are there when they reveal what is underneath and specify clearly what needs to be done to fix the underlayment, etc., and also keep track of the details on the invoicing. I was there to see what was underneath and specify clearly what I wanted done, so everything was done correctly. On the invoice, they forgot that they offered two free pieces of plywood as a part of the deal and initially charged me for those. All in all though, whenever I had an issue, they made it right. There was some disorganization, but in the end I had the siding up within three weeks and at a lower price than the other companies, and the work was well done. So an affordable and competent option for sure. My place is a lot cozier than it was before, so I'll take is.

Inspection of old roof. Took the time to explain in detail the proposed work they would do. Provided written estimate of detailed proposed work and price. Work performed as scheduled and completed in one day. Looks very good. Rained the next couple days and no issues!

We were very happy with our roof replacement. Aside from Certified, we got one other estimate. Tom came by and was very courteous and patient in answering all of my questions for the estimate. Once we decided to go with Certified, the roof was completed within one week after the contract was signed. Javier and his crew did an excellent job and completed the roof in 2 days. Clean up was great. I would highly recommend Certified for roof replacement.

From the beginning, Certified was easy to deal with, responsive, and competitive on price. Although there was a little confusion on the original price quote, when the issue was discovered, they were very quick to get back to me. We agreed on a slightly higher price to move forward with the work, and they began work soon after. They worked hand-in-hand with my A/C replacement company and were done in two days. My A/C company was impressed with how fast they were at removing the old roof and installing the new one.

The work was done quite quickly and all of the staff were very professionally. So far, everything seems good. It can be so hard to trust roofers, but Certified easily earned our trust. Although we hope not to need their services again for a long time, would not hesitate to use them again.

From start to finish, Certified was so easy to work with, and maintained professionalism on all levels. The roof was replaced as part of an insurance claim, and they were able to work directly with my insurance company to make sure that the correct repairs were done. I would recommend this contractor to anybody that needs a new roof. They're not the least expensive installer in town, but they offer excellent service and products with excellent warranties, so it's worth the couple extra dollars.

I decided to go with Certified because their estimator (and co-owner) seemed much more knowledgeable about the installation of Certi-Last pressure-treated cedar shingles/shakes than any of the estimators from other roofing companies (also from Angie's List). I was assured that Certified has been using the same crew for installing cedar shingle/shake roofs for many years. Javier (the crew supervisor) and his men were very professional and knowledgeable. Javier first went over the contract line-by-line as to what they were going to do, then helped in getting the work started. After about an hour, Javier asked me if I was satisfied with the job so far and if it was okay for him to go to another job site. When I said yes, he gave me his cell phone number and said he would come right back if I needed him to resolve any problem. No problems occurred. When Javier's men completed the roof, they asked me if I was satisfied or if anything needed to be changed or corrected. They asked me again if I was satisfied after they had cleaned up the debris. Right before they left, they called Javier and handed me the phone. He, likewise, asked me if I was happy with the job and if I wanted him to come over for any reason before his men left the job site. I liked the fact that the crew did not leave the job site until I told them I was completely satisfied with the work they had done. Javier and his men did a great job. The gazebo looks fantastic with its new roof. I am happy with Certified's price, the professionalism of the crew, the great workmanship, and the customer relations exhibited. I would highly recommend them for installation of a cedar shingle/shake roof.

It was a pleasure to work with Certified Inc. to replace part of the roof for my house. I had several estimates. Certified's price is very competitive. More importantly, they offer a 25-year labor warranty. That is very impressive. During the day of the replacement, the owner of the company personally called to advise me to replace the roof-mounted fan. It shows how they care about the customer. The workers are hard-working people. They worked from 7:30 am until it was completely dark. They came 7:30 am the next day to finish up the remaining part of the work. The sales consultant is James Pingleton. He did a good job and answered all my questions. In particular, he gave me the job estimate immediately after he talked me on the date of his visit. For most other roofing companies, you have to wait a few days before you get the estimate. The office manager also did a good job in scheduling the work and answered my calls. I am happy with their service and has also recommended them to my neighbor.

This roof was installed by Certified in November 2005. This was the second roof installed by this group as my pior home was done by the same company and sales rep, Tom Keehn. I was very watchful on the first house as I had been burned by prior roofers. Mr. Keehn passed the old lady test. Tried by old ornery cat. Cat approved he must be honest. I watched like a hawk, was so happy the way it looked and was installed, of course when I moved, I called same group out. Have bragged about Certified since my first house. The neighbors in this neighborhood also commented on the quality and workermanship of people doing the new roof. I am very happy with all I have had contact with. I know that I have a roof that will last barring any unforseen problem.

We met with several contractors and Certified was the most competitive, used the best materials and provided the best warranties (labor and materials). The owner Tom was on-time for the quote appointment and was very thorough, but best of all after delivering the estimate, he did not pressure us to make a decision on the spot. Weeks later, once we decided to move forward and signed the contract, we had an appointment within a week. We did not have to place a deposit as they didn't want to charge anything until we were satisfied with the final product. The day of the replacement, the crew was on-time, worked hard and completed the job that very day. I would recommend Certified to anyone looking to do a roof replacement.

Certified was great to work with, they are very prompt to get back to you when you submit a request for an estimate. It took time for our insurance to come through with their estimate, but Tom was out within a few days of me sending him the insurance estimate. They're roofing estimate came in way lower than we expected and we were able to get additional work done at not much extra cost to us. We signed the contract on a Wednesday afternoon and by the following Thursday they were out working. It took 4 days as we have a dutch colonial and they replaced all of our siding, gutter and shutters on top of the roof. The workers were extremely professional and friendly, and cleaned up expertly, we found no lingering nails. The roof is beautiful, the siding is perfect and we love the shutters; its like we have a new house. Tom noticed we had some rotting wood around our windows, so he took it upon himself to have his crew replace that at no additional cost to us and without us even knowing. Every time we had to call them about anything, they've been prompt to respond and pleasant. We'd use them again in a heartbeat. (Right now we're working with our insurance company on some additional work that needs to be done and will be using Certified for the extra work.)

Jim, co-owner, came out and gave me a no hassle estimate. It took about 10-15 minutes for him to calculated the price for everything I asked with both standard and architectural shingles, again no hassle. He provided me a folder with all the information about the company, licensed/insured, the product and also projects they completed so we could view their work. He discussed the project in detail. The price also included reshingling our shed and installing 2 bathroom vents for future bathroom fans. The price was about $1,500 less than one company and slightly lower from another company. I was impressed by the professionalism of Jim and his detailed explanation of the complete job. I went to the supply company they use, ABC Supply Co, and was given the 3 samples of the shingles we were interested in. ABC was great, they just told me to give the samples back to Certified Inc when they did the job. Once we picked the color of our shingles I was contacted by Ann Marie in the office to schedule the job. The guys showed up on time and got right to work. Julio was the supervisor and he and his team seemed to work together very well. They covered shrubs, lawn to avoid damage. After the first day they cleaned up like they were never there. The next day once again on time and got to work. I had to leave before they were finished but when my wife got home the yard/driveway was virtually spotless. The roof/shed look great. I was billed after the job was completed and there was no deposit. Working with Certified Inc was painless and there responsiveness was great with both Jim and Ann Marie. I would absolutely recommend them. Did I mention how nice our house/shed look too.

Certified did a fantastic job replacing the roof on our townhouse. We had 3 estimates done from top rated Angie's List contractors, and when you factored in price, quality of materials, and warranty, Certified was far and away the best deal. Everything was explained clearly and thoroughly by their estimator which was very important to me since I had never dealt with a roof replacement before. Work began about 1 week after signing the contract, and took Certified only 1 day to complete. The guys that did the roof were amazing. They started early around 830, and worked hard throughout the day to get it completed. They were very friendly, and did an excellent job cleaning up any debris after they were done. Really just a easy, pleasant experience, and I now have a great looking roof that I am confident will last for many decades to come. Thank you Certified for doing such a great job at a reasonable price, I will happily recommed you to any family and friends that happen to need a new roof.

Jim did a good job explaining the options when providing an estimate, pointing me towards a roof that is warrantied for residential use and showing me that the one proposed by another roofer was not. They were out to do the job within a week of receiving the contract from me. I gave a B rather than an A (overall and for quality and professionalism) as on both days of work they finished on the roof after dark. It is hard to feel confident in the quality of their work at that time (and likely not to be completely safe) and there were a few issues with the installation of the skylight. It also meant that the clean up job afterwards wasn't perfect. I also would have appreciated receiving photos after the job was complete as I couldn't see it for myself. Certified worked h****** customer service/client satisfaction. I had a skylight installed as part of the job and realized that it wasn't properly attached and the roof around it wasn't well trimmed. They got the foreman out a couple days after my call to finish the job appropriately and he did additional clean up of scraps around the house while he was there. The crew also damaged a rain sensor plugged into my irrigation system and Certified was very responsive about replacing it.

The crew arrived on time. Began work immediately and they were very professional. They worked for from 8:00 to around 2:30. The roof looks great and they cleaned up all messes. Out home looks great!! I would recommend Certified, Inc. to all of my friends. Tom (the owner) was wonderful - so courteous and so kind. He went above and beyond for us, knowing that we are on a fixed income. AWESOME JOB GUYS!!!

I contracted with this company to replace the roof of my home in preparation for solar panel installation later this fall. The whole process from the initial contact to the installation was conducted in a professional and customer-focused manner. It took only a few days to get the initial appointment, and installation was scheduled quickly after signing the contract. The installation crew worked two long days to get the roof installed and I felt that their priority was to get the roof installed correctly, and that they did not rush to get the project done as quickly as possible at the expense of quality, unlike some other contractors I have worked with in the past. I was promptly notified when the existing (but non-functional) roof hatch was found to be irreparable, and the extra cost to get the hutch re-built was kept reasonable. Overall a good experience with this company.

A crew of 3 stripped all the old shingles in a minimum time. They thoroughly picked up the old shingle debris and used a magnet assembly to remove any nails from my yard. All debris were hauled away. The chimney was re-flashed with aluminum flashing and install new drip edge flashing on gutter guards. New Ridge Vent system was installed on both roof of house and porch. All new One piece gutters and downspouts were then installed.

Very professional crew. The entire experience from beginning to end was hassle-free. The crew led by Javier arrived each day on time and worked tirelessly and professionally each day. The workmanship and clean-up couldn't have been better.

I got three bids on this big project, and although Certified was not the cheapest, I was very impressed with Tom Keehn's courtesy, responsiveness and attention to detail. I felt like the price was fair in proportion to the project. Also, Tom gave me three addresses in the local area, because I was undecided about a particular shingle color. After driving past all three, I made a decision. Further, Tom gave me everything I needed, as I live in a historic district, and had to get the City of Laurel to approve my choice of shingles. We had a glitch the first night the workers were here, because the workers thought the start was far enough along that that portion of the roof would be okay in predicted rain. However, it was not, because we had a fierce rainstorm. When I realized I had water leaking in the attic and two downstairs rooms, I called Tom immediately and he came over. After one look, he called Javier, the foreman. Within the hour, Javier and a helper were here and on the roof, covering with a huge tarp. No more leaking. By the weekend, someone was here to repair the ceiling damages, as Tom had promised. Jose worked practically non-stop on Sat, and again the following Monday, and by the time he left, both ceilings looked brand new and had a fresh coat of paint. I was very, very pleased. The gutter installation crew was efficient and left no mess. Further, at one point, one worker called me outside to ask how I wanted a particular downspout positioned. Since I have always had issues with water ingress in my basement at that place, we made a decision together; the next weekend, when we had more rain, no water came in. Happy. I loved the shingle color I had chosen--it is perfect with the house color. And I so appreciated the concern and attention of Javier, who worked with Tom to make sure all was made right for me and the work done well. Thank you to Tom, Javier, Jose and all who did this work. I highly recommend this company.

From the moment I called to the follow up call after the work was finished, Certified was a true pleasure to work with. The situation was complicated, but Certified handled it easily. The crew did an excellent job, cleaned up, and we are thrilled.

Wonderful job on my 30 year old roof . Complete tear off to wood. Best price estimate and parts and labor warranty out of three companies. After a few hiccups my roof was completed in about 3 days. I also inquired about repair or replacement of my front slate because of a persistent leak that was causing a lot of damage to my wall and ceiling. My estimate to replace was the slate was $1700. Juan Carlos the foreman said it did not need to be replaced and repaired a few slates for $75. Unfortunately, I had the same leak in the exact same place. Juan Carols returned when it was raining and looked in the attic and assured me he knew where the leak was coming from. He returned a few days later and caulked some more slate and brick around the slate. After I insisted he use a water hose to test it, THE LEAK CONTINUED. He came back took some pictures and told my it was the brick and not the slate. He said he would come back and caulk a small crack in the brick. He never called or came. I let it go because after 3 tries he obviously didn't know where the leak was coming from. I called another company and was told it was the flashing and slate in the corner where the leak was coming from. I agreed with them.

On day 1, the work crew arrived at the house on time (8am) and got to work right away. Within 30 minutes, I could hear loud noises on the roof and I saw roof debris falling. It looked like several layers of roofing material had been removed and this went on for several hours. By the end of the day, the old roof was off, the insulation was put on and my yard was looking like a hoarder house yard. It was a very hot day, 92 degrees Fahrenheit. They took lunch and got back to work right away. They wrapped up about 5:30. The following day they arrived a bit earlier and finished the job. They cleaned up every single piece of debris and left my yard looking better than it had before they came. The crew was FANTASTIC! Before they left, I did not think to check my roof hatch. When I looked up through my roof access panel and saw daylight, I initially thought they had not finished the roof hatch. Then, I opened the access panel and realized they had but the fit of the newly constructed hatch was off a bit. I called the office the next day and spoke to AWESOME Ann Marie, who arranged for the crew leader to come back to the house. We are now working to get the roof hatch fit adjusted which really isn't such a big job. The idea of having my roof taken off was really frightening but it's already rained so the integrity of the new roof has been tested.
