This company was fantastic to work with. My husband and I looked into about a dozen window replacement companies (way too many) before settling on the Kelemer Brothers. We were impressed with the depth of knowledge about the products, the quality of the windows themselves and the interaction with Joe (who is simply remarkable). As first time homeowners, we were a little paranoid about this first large and important renovation project for our home, Joe was great in addressing all of our (many) questions, addressing our concerns, and providing us with thorough explanations about everything. The sales process was non-pressure, the price was reasonable, and our independent research on the window product itself checked out. I was also really impressed with the installation team. Each person on the site had their job that they took pride in and did well (one person for removing the windows, one for trim, another for caulking). They were all very professional and did a great job. We've had the windows in for a few months, through snow and rain storms and have already noticed how much warmer the house is in winter months. Would recommend this company without hesitation.

came on time. Despite dreadful weather, were able to replace all window in a few hours. Cleaned up after everything was done. Inspected final work and gave me advise on what to do. Told me to call if any problems, which there was not. Company is just great, and made me fell comfortable during the entire process. As a note: price was Very good, but could probably have gotten it done for less with another company. Decided to go with the Kelemer brother, because I think I got better quality and definitely better service.

After meeting with several providers, we chose the Kelemer Brothers to install some new windows in our house. We are very pleased with the service and the results. To start, we met with Joe, and he carefully inspected our windows and provided an honest assessment of which ones should be replaced. We were gratified that his analysis matched what we had in mind, even before we told him exactly what our plans were. We were impressed that he didn't try to over-sell us. And he clearly didn't go into a high-pressure sales pitch either. We were impressed with quality of the windows, and the quality of the installation process. We've waited for several months to write the review to make sure that everything has gone well with them. And we are still very please both with our windows and with our choice of the Kelemer Brothers. When we are ready to replace the remainder of the windows in our house, we will definitely do business with them again.

Joe Kelemer and his brother own the company. When asked to provide an estimate, Joe came promptly to my house to see what needed to be done. Before coming to the house, he provided a checklist of things for us to consider. Joe came on time and proceeded to show me 2 different windows at 2 different prices. He was very knowledgeable and thorough with his explanations. We chose the higher priced windows. Joe let us know that it would take about 9 weeks. When the guys came to do the work, they too were very professional and neat. They removed the custom shades, moved the few pieces of furniture, removed the old windows and installed the new ones. We are extremely pleased with the work. I would definitely use this provider again. As a thank you, Joe presented me with a dozen roses when he came to inspect the work.. Nice touch

I was very particular about the entire process, requesting 4 price quotes from different venders. My key criteria were (1) window quality, as evidenced y the NFRC ratings/energy star label; and (2) service quality and professionalism, as evidenced by the sales representative and various ratings including Angie's List. I knew the drill going in, having had a quote years before where the price was "only valid today". I have a 1965 home which had original single pane windows that contributed to huge air leakage, particularly in winter. I know because I had an energy audit done years before, including a door blower test. Winter was much worse than summer because of the brick construction of my home and significant tree cover providing shade in summer. Gabriel Kelemer offered the highest rated windows among the companies I called, and I liked the fact that they were locally manufactured to my required specifications. These are R5 windows with a U factor of .22, and SHGC of .25. No other offers came reasonably close in quality -- my goal was to achieve as big a gain in efficiency as possible for the price. Some of the cheaper quotes I received were for U factor .30 windows, and that was already way beyond my threshold, even if less expensive (by $4,000 or so). The issue was that the difference in price was not warranted by the difference in quality, since I definitely do not plan on replacing my windows ever again. Gabriel was also very prompt and responsive, from his first consultation visit to his follow-up emails and calls with respect to my inquiries. His team arrived on time for the task, and systematically went from window to window carefully removing the old ones and installing each new one. I was impressed with their efficiency and care. They left some debris, particularly outside, though nothing major. The lifetime warranty and assurances from Gabriel were very reassuring. So far we have loved the windows. We can open some that we never opened before. Cleaning is much simpler. And we already feel a better comfort level with Oct temperatures dropping. We are very pleased with our investment and Kelemer's workmanship to date. We would certainly recommend them to others.

Joe was very helpful when I spoke with him on the phone. I was unable to use his company because he doesn't work with wood windows and my HOA does not allow vinyl. However he did give me great advice and pointed me in the right direction. He was also prompt returning my phone call. Very professional.

Everything seems to have been handled with great care and professionalism. The Kelemer Brothers removed, installed and cleaned up after themselves very well. I could not be happier with the work that they provided and happily recommend them.

It's definitely a positive experience. They know their stuff and there's no question about that. I got two-toned window colors. So all things considered with the number of windows and I had a good selection of colors for the windows. We had gotten 3 bids and they were the lowest.

Had called a few places looking for quotes and all seemed to be fairly the same price for the type of windows we were looking to be installed. The Kelemer Brothers professionalism is what sold us on them when we met with them. They were not pushy and when I had to reschedule the initial meeting they worked out a time convenient for me to meet. The windows came in about the time Joe had said they would (8-9 weeks) and were installed this past Friday. The workers came out and installed the windows very efficiently. When installation was done there was no mess to cleanup, no walls were damaged, and the windows look beautiful. Will be using them again in the future for replacement of our other windows. Tell them Gary sent you and they will take care of you.

The patio door work was rescheduled a month later. My biggest issue with the work was the inattention to the wood rot on the existing window frames. I explained to Gabriel that i wanted rotting wood removed and replaced. The crew just covered it up with the aluminum framing, even after I asked it be addressed/replaced. One crew person told me that it would dry and not be an issue once covered, which is why they would not fix it. Also, when patio doors were done there again was extensive wood rot issues that were only partially addressed this time. End result: a squeaky floor leading to one of the patio doors. When I asked Gabriel how he intended to resolve the issue he just said he never had experienced an issue like it and didn't have a way to fix it. I have beautiful doors but odd squeaking when the base of one of the door frames is stepped on or the floor directly in front of the door is stepped on. I have 7 windows left to be done and don't think I will use them again.

Boy - purchasing replacement windows is much like buying a used car but worse! When you call around looking for quotes from different vendors I was beset with "...your wife needs to be there when the salesperson comes...." Warning flag #1. What other business are you familar with that has this type of requirement. The reason they want both parties there so you can receive the hard sell. When I set up the appointment with Mr. Kelemer - never once said my wife had to be present. He went over the windows they offer to install. They have two vendors they use. We went with the Vytex windows. The crew of three men came at 10 AM or so and they were gone by 5 PM. Very professional crew and they did a quality installation. Yes I did get more quotes than just one from Kelemer Brothers.

The Kelemer Brothers live up to all the great reviews you see here on Angie's list. They are friendly, responsive, competitively priced, and move quickly to complete the job. The crew who did the work was excellent and very experienced. I felt very comfortable at home alone with them -- they even reminded me to lock my back gate when they left! We were very pleased with the company and I have recommended them to another neighbor who used them for new windows. Our work was completed last fall (September 2012) but I did see Gabriel talking with my neighbor again because she now is considering a new back door in addition to windows. My only comment that could be seen as negative is that they forgot to come back and fix the smeared caulk they promised to redo when it was smudged while the crew was moving some furniture. If you need new windows or doors, talk with the Kelemer Brothers. I would definitely hire them again.

We selected Kelemer Bros after receiving multiple estimates for replacement windows for our entire house, approximately 22 windows. The windows being replaced were original to the house. Gabriel offered the best performing windows for the price and on top of that were excellent with installing. They install themselves and don't sub out the install and either Gabriel or his brother Joe were on site for the install. We had several issues pop up which are bound to happen in these situations and Gabriel was easy to work with and didn't bat an eye about adjusting and making sure everything was done properly. They guaranteed their work and while we have had absolutely no issues I have no doubt that if we did they would make it right. We are shocked at how much better the house looks and the energy efficiency gained from the new windows.

We got many many quotes and spoke to so many window companies, and let me tell you some of them are complete crooks, but we went with Kelemer due to their very competitive pricing, good response, and good attitude. They did not nickel and dime us like some of the other vendors tried with extra this or that. They arrived on time to install the windows, worked cleanly, And went the extra mile to reattach the inside shutters that we didn't want to lose due to replacing windows. Some however were re-attached incorrectly and and they fixed them promptly the next day, so we forgive you that one minor mistake. We have been very pleased.

Great job! From our initial meeting with Gabriel, our experience was great. He was thorough, efficient and straightforward. After his estimate we spoke several times by phone and he was extremely responsive to our calls. We agreed on the job and he worked with us to get the job done quickly as we had a new baby on the way. On the day of the job, the crew arrived promptly and got to work. They were very cautious to leave the baby's room well protected and cleaned thoroughly. The three man crew replaced the windows and doors in about 8 hours and left our home and yard very clean. We appreciated the extra effort of Gabriel to answer our questions and follow up even after the job was complete. We love the quality of the windows and our home is so much quieter. We highly recommend them!

We couldn't be happier with our new windows and with the service we received. We had received a number of estimates to replace the windows on the front of our house. These six windows get the full afternoon sun and so we were asking for help in reducing the heat in the upstairs bedrooms especially. One company said we needed heavier glass with a special coating and gave us an estimate of over $7,000! These are not big windows. We also got an estimate a year ago from a company that had installed some Vytex-Georgetown windows for us seven years ago. The estimate was over $3000 for the Georgetown model windows, which did not include the heavier glass or triple silver low E coating, AND they were going to charge us an additional $90/window if they found lead paint when removing the 50-year-old windows. Gabriel Kelemer said they just assume lead paint is present and include lead paint abatement in the price. I'm so glad we waited another year to do these windows because Mr. Kelemer explained that the Fortis model, which just became available in the last year, was a better window for a number of reasons including having the option of the R5 glass and low E coating. The new windows are such an improvement cosmetically and in the heat reduction. The weather has been in the upper 90s and sunny this week so we're still keeping our light blocking shades down in the upstairs bedrooms but the rooms are no longer uncomfortable. Several of our neighbors have stopped by to ask about the new windows and I was happy to recommend A Better House and the Kelemer Brothers.

Joe was great to work with. He was very flexible and accommodating to our scheduling needs. The windows were installed over two days and both look and work wonderfully. Joe also worked with us on price, as we were getting other renovations done at the same time and we needed to be as cost conscious as possible. I cannot overstate how communicative they were during the entire process. We were never in the dark about what was happening or when it was happening. We would recommend Kelemer Bros. without reservations to anyone looking for replacement windows, and we would certainly use them again should the need arise.

From start to finish this was an easy and comfortable process. I thought going through the process of choosing the right kind of windows and the right company was going to be long and arduous. I used Angies List to find the Kelemer Brothers and I'm so glad I did. They came to my house, showed me samples of windows, explained exactly how the windows work, the difference between the types of windows they sell, and most of all I was not pressured into going with their product. I felt very comfortable with the information I was given and I understood their explanations of the product. I made the choice to go with the higher grade window because it was investment in my home that I wanted to make. On the day of installation, the installers showed up exactly when they said they would be there and were very systematic in their approach to removing the old windows and putting in the new ones. Both brothers came by a few times throughout the day to check on things and make sure that everything was going according to plan. The installers were very polite and considerate of the fact that I was home that day. When they finished they cleaned up every bit of trash and debris from the old windows and were very careful to make sure that all of the windows were sealed properly. I have an addition on the back of my house that has three windows and a sliding glass door that will need replacement in the next few years and I will not hesitate to contact the Kelemer Brothers when I'm ready to have that job done.

We moved out of this house and out of the country, in fact, in September of 2012 and our house was on the market to be sold. The front three windows needed to be replaced in order for us to get the house sold as well as a rain gutter that I needed to have replaced. Trying to get multiple quotes and someone that I felt like I could trust from literally 3000 miles away was no easy task. So we signed up for Angie's List and contacted a couple of people that had recieved high reviews. Joe Kelemer was one of those that we contacted because he had great reviews. After using him, I know exactly why he has great reviews - he's earned them! Having someone do major work on our home while I couldn't be present to supervise was a difficult thing for me to deal with but working with Joe made it comfortable. Everything about the interaction was professional and personable. He came out and looked at the windows and gave me a quote exactly when he said he would. He respected the fact that I'm overseas and I couldn't be called after 5:00pm Maryland time (10:00pm my time). I had a friend go over after Joe was done and take pictures for me and the new windows look great. The jobsite was cleaned after the work was done as well and you couldn't tell that workers had even been there (other than the great new windows being there). Thinking back on the whole experience, I would say that there's not anything I would have changed. And I would DEFINITELY use Joe again if I ever had need of his services. For full disclosure, I did have him give me a quote for the new rain gutter but I went with someone else on that. Joe would have had to have subcontracted that out and not have done the work himself. I wanted to deal directly with the person that was going to be doing the work.

Impressive! Joe Kelemer is the expert when it comes to quality window replacement. I contacted them and my call was returned within one hour (just like the message says). Joe came out to give us an estimate and provided a thorough explanation of the kind of windows we needed and gave a very reasonable price. He knows his stuff and doesn't hesitate to share the ins-and-outs about the windows. We decided to move forward immediately after our meeting with him. I also like the fact that that it wasn't a hard sales pitch like, "Sign-up today for the best deal." Joe's presentation was just the right balance between sales and genuine concern for what we needed. We set an installment date and the windows came in right on schedule. The crew arrived on time and the project was finished on-time. The crew definitely knew what they were doing and they were able to install three large slider windows, a kitchen window, and five small basement windows by 3:30 p..m. After the window installation, we had a problem closing one of them and Joe came out immediately and showed us how to close the window properly (Our issue, not theirs). After the project, Joe gave us a lovely present to celebrate our new windows - an Italian wine. His customer service is what set's this company apart. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality work, and great windows. We love them by the way and wish we had contacted Replacement Windows sooner.

Gabriel Kelemer did a fantastic job. He provided me all the details I needed, including promptly following up on later questions I had via phone and email. Windows came in earlier than expected and we were able to schedule their installation right away. All 19 windows were replaced in one day and they were great at cleaning up the mess.

Tired of pushy salespeople? Of "buy it now" prices? Or a 1 hour or more lecture on vinyl windows? Then call Kelemer Brothers!!!! We need replacement windows on the upper level of our home. I had 5 companies come out for estimates (Kelemer Brothers, Renewal by Anderson, Thompson Creek, Pella and The Whiting Company). Gabriel Kelemer was the ONLY one who didn't "demand" my husband be there for the appointment, didn't give me a "buy it now price" and didn't spend more than 30 minutes in my home. Their price was not the highest nor the lowest, but we chose them because of their high quality windows, respect for our time and total professionalism. Gabriel Kelemer was prompt, kind, to the point, informative and not pushy AT ALL. He talked to me about what we wanted, showed me an example, told me about different options, and left me with a brochure and a quote. That's it! Easy and very professional! Pella and Renewal salespeople were very kind as well, just too expensive for our project. We just ordered the windows and I will remark again once they are installed! If you're in the market for Vinyl Replacement Windows, go with Kelemer! You won't be sorry!
