I did not ask them for an estimate, they'd done work for us before and we felt they were good honest men, who could be trusted. The item (an invaluable one), was dropped down the sink on a Thursday morning. They were out on jobs and didn't get the call 'til the following morning, but came out that day and did the repair. They were clearly the owners, did their own work, were pleasant and honest in their assessments of the other 2 repairs I asked them about. They cleaned up with the rags I gave them, and were in and out in less than 30 minutes. They waited patiently to bill me, until I decided whether to have them do one of the other 2 jobs (I decided not to), and they hand-delivered the invoice 2 days later, which I paid promptly. Their quick response to my near-panicked call, was worth immediate payment.
