Starting the project this week but I wanted to cancel the job so the other five know.

Out A/C unit stopped working on a very hot Sunday. Jeff said his regular tech was fully booked that day, but he would come out himself and see if he could fix it. He diagnosed the problem, but didn't have the part. He refused to take any money for this as he couldn't fix it the same day, even for the cost of a part he had installed while diagnosing. Then he happily answered some of my questions in a follow up call. With Jeff's help. it was easy enough to get and replace the part myself during the next day. By way of contrast we had three (!) companies really try to take advantage of us that day. (Quoting outrageous prices and/or saying we might need a new unit). I was very impressed with Jeff's customer focused approach. Their hourly rate - I was not charged, but Jeff quoted it to me - is also extremely reasonable. Will definitely be calling again.

The entire team at B & G Heating and Air conditioning Inc are highly knowledgeable, experienced, and professional! My project required meticulous planning with multiple steps, including customizing the ducts and caps. Gil, Jeff, and Tony were especially attentive to address all my concerns. Their workmanship and results have been phenomenal! Jeff and Tony are exceptional skilled masters of their craft! We are extremely pleased and will have them come back for other future project such as replacing our furnace when it is due. I am truly amazed at how they are a truly caring company and are always willing to put in the extra work to achieve the best results.

B & G came to the rescue after a different company came to repair our 3-year-old central AC system. The other company came three times over six days but did not fix our system. When they left, they said that they had fixed it -- but the AC wasn't working, only the fan was working. B & G, in contrast, was knowledgeable, professional and came to repair our system the same day that we called. From their customer-relations person Joyce -- who even gave us some free advice over the phone -- to the two technicians who ended up repairing our system by correcting faulty wiring put into place by the first company, it was a pleasure to work with B & G. B&G was great from start to finish, and we now have a new HVAC company. I highly recommend them for purchasing new systems or for repairing existing systems.

The technicians arrived on time and work speedily to repair our furnace. They rapidly diagnosed the problem and rapidly found the replacement part. We haven't been billed yet but we were very satisfied with the work. They explained everything they were doing to us.

Incredibly well! I had been working with the furnace to try to troubleshoot it, but did not succeed. I had paid another contractor a few weeks earlier to unclog the condensate drainage system, and thought that the condensate drain system was OK, but they missed one final line - the line from the furnace blower sump to the condensate drain and pump. After the B&G tech cleared that line, the system worked 100%. The call took less than the minimum 15 minutes, and was billed accordingly - I was amazed: the furnace went from essentially non-functional to 100% in less than 15 minutes because of the incredibly skilled and experienced B&G tech. I would eagerly hire B&G for any future repair work - their technician was incredibly skilled and efficient. I could not be happier!

It went great. My heat is working perfectly. He needed to come multiple times and every time he was prompt and punctual. I will definitely call him again if anything goes wrong.

Our furnace was not working. Two companies came and had very high quotes (at least $700) and even saying that the furnace would need to be replaced ($7,000). I called B&G who came out the same day I called them. The technicians were friendly, efficient and found that literally one wire had some how been disconnected. In a half hour, they fixed the problem for $115! It's terrible how badly the other companies misdiagnosed the problem. Thank you B&G.

- Pathetic. - Each time I've you call their number, someone picks and stays silent, with the exception of breathing. - I was asked to email a photo of the detached flue pipe - a very simple problem. They understood that this was urgent due to carbon monoxide poisoning risk. - I sent email as requested and didn't hear back for more than 24 hours. - Called again with a gentle nudge. After getting past the usual breathing on phone pick up, I could hardly get a word in to get things to happen. - I was promised timely notification of next steps. - After a few more hours of no response - we're are well past 36 hours after first contact - I called to cancel.

The office was very responsive and the owner came out to meet with me promptly. He was very professional and clearly knows his stuff. They had a quote for me within two days. Unfortunately they were very busy and it would have taken them a few weeks to get to the job, and I needed it done more rapidly so I went with another contractor. But I would definitely have hired B&G otherwise.

They spent a great deal of time with me on the phone as I explained the issue and our systems.Gil then came out to our home to look at the systems in question and determined that although they may need some replacement parts there was definitely no need to replace 14 year old systems and if we did it would be close to half the price quoted. He then followed up on a comment that had been made by the other provider regarding our venting pipes and did the research and sent it to me. He didn't try and sell me anything or say you should have this or that done. He just gave me honest feedback. In a world where honesty and integrity and pride in the services you provide are in short supply this company stands out. When we are ready to do some maintenance to our systems B & G will be the first company I call.

EXCELLENT , THE REPAIR MEN WERE THERE IN LESS THAN HALF HOUR. THE WHOLE REPAIR WAS DONE IN ABOUT HALF HOUR. THEY CHECKED THE COOLING TEMPERATURE FROM ALL THE REGISTERS IN THE HOUSE. NICE WORK

B&G bailed me out when I had a faulty AC mini-split unit. My previous contractor who had installed it didn't help negotiate with Mitsubishi regarding the warranty, and quoted me a very high price for replacement of a part. Instead, I negotiated full replacement of the indoor unit from Mitsubishi and then found B&G to do that work. Joyce at B&G was extremely helpful throughout the process--quoting me an estimate, coordinating with Mitsubishi, and getting the job scheduled. The guys got the work done well and under budget--and several hundred $$ below my original contractor's estimate.

This was an installation of central AC in an old victorian. Nothing about our installation was straightforward or easy but the crew did an amazing job. They came up with solutions to the issues we encountered and worked to keep things clean every day and minimize disruption and dust. I strongly recommend this company and can see why they are so highly rated on Angie's list.

Took a while to get the job scheduled (they were busy with other customers who had lost heating (this was during the winter). Once they started the job it went well. They had to be creative about the ductwork on one furnace )due to cramped location) and the plumbing attachment. Did unanticipated work without changing the price. There was a delay to replace a part that was defective out of the box but otherwise the work went well. The technician who did the work was pleasant and professional. The job site was clean. We were happy with the job and will hire them again.

It went very well. We received 4 quotes of which B&G was the lowest. They were able to install the units sooner than expected, they were pleasant to work with and left the work area clean.

Fabulous! And the cost was 20% less than the other estimates I got.

I used them 2 years ago. Their punctuality and service was spot on, their price was horrible. I could have solved it myself for $25 if I would have checked on the internet. It would be worth it for a grandma who can't hold a screwdriver, but to replace a capacitor for $25 they charged me an exorbitant amount. They showed up exactly when they said, they offered many alternatives and potential solutions, they were knowledgeable, and they immediately diagnosed the solution which wasn't a very easy problem to diagnose, so they clearly know their stuff.

The services followed the contract lists, friendly, professional, and willing to change materials based on customer's request. the equipment used fits our needs.

I was impressed that they took the trouble to call back - right away - and help me out.

They are a family owned and operating company. The owner/father quoted the job and his two sons, along with others, installed the furnace. They were friendly, informative, and efficient. One problem occurred the evening of the first day, and they returned that night and stayed until it was fixed. I was very satisfied.

Everything was great. Gil, the foreman, was very responsive and answered all of our questions which we appreciated. Furthermore, he and his crew were on time, did a great job of installing the unit, and were good about cleaning up after themselves.

Ver professional, showed up on time and worked long days. They even came by a week in advance to jumpstart my old furnace free of charge. However, the quality of the work was poor and they refused some items. Issues included the following: - furnace was supposed to be on cinder blocks, it was not. Since this was written in the original agreement, they reinstalled on blocks - vent piping was installed terribly. They twisted all over the basement and even went in front of a window making it difficult to open. The hole they drilled for the siding looked like a 2 year old had done it. I brought this up and they refused to change it. I fought h****** this and they still refused. - ducts were not properly sealed and taped, I had to go through and re-seal everything they did. I would NOT recommend them based on the quality. They were responsive and professional and may be fine for a repair but not a new install.
