The technician arrived during the 3-hour window originally agreed to, though about 30 minutes later than the estimated time I was told the day before. After about 45 minutes of work, he advised me that parts of the boiler were particularly “dirty” and would require an additional hour or so of cleaning work at $200/hour. This was a total bait and switch—get the customer on a cheap deal and then charge more for work you claim is not included. The Angie’s List deal states “Some work scope restrictions apply; repairs can be performed at an additional fee.” The cleaning of the dirty components was not a repair; it was CLEANING as featured in the deal. I called the company office and explained what the tech had advised. Jake at the office called the tech, who sent photos and Jake backed up the tech, said the work could be done for $180/hour, the usual billing rate. )Why did the tech say $200/hour?) After a while Jake said the final offer was $150. The tech was already here; an additional $150/hour for work that should have been included is outrageous and a poor way to treat a customer. I declined. The tech said he would email to me an invoice with a description of the work done; I have not received it.

very well. Steve was very thorough, took time to explain potential issues and other potential problems to keep an eye on; seemed very experienced in this area. replaced ignitor which was on its way out (showed me the failing and new parts so I could see the difference). checked CO levels in exhaust and adjusted gas/air ratio to reduce it. was educational as well as helpful. nice job.

Just rescheduled with Sila for annual maintenance. We have used Sila to service our A/C units, a gas furnace, and an oil furnace. Their techs are the nicest, most competent techs we have ever dealt with plus they arrive on time, explain things, and cleanup after themselves. We are permanent Sila customers. 5 Stars!!!

Craig came on time, worked quickly and thoroughly, and gave us a lot of info and advice.

Overall very pleased with the work. They were patient with us when some tenants weren't home and they had to re-schedule for the 2nd boiler. We had a coupon to discount the boiler routine service, so a good deal on that, however their quoted rates for actual service (if needed in the future) were high end.

Inspection went well, Bill arrived on time pointed out a valve leak and provided several options. Bill was professional, respectful and courteous. He is scheduled to return and fix the leak. Sila's prices are higher than others but fair considering the quality service received.

Technician is knowledgeable and did a decent job

Planning was a little rocky as there were multiple exchanges of voicemail messages and a last-minute scheduling change with no explanation. Service appointment itself went very well. Service person performed 22-point inspection of furnace and provided recommendations and rough costs for planning purposes. Obviously knew material very well.

They are always fast to respond, punctual and get the job done well. Also happy to answer any questions or concerns. They had to replace one part on one of the furnaces but it was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them.

The technician came on time, did the maintenance work as we had purchased. But he also found a problem with furnance (which was not there before), recommended installing aquastat which costed a lot of money - ~700.(I wonder how could a working Aquastat go wrong after technician has completed furnance work) I had to do it as hot water was not circulating. Overall, good job but too pricey for the service.

Our first experience with them was great. That experience was wonderful, even though it was an extensive project (converting from an old oil system to gas with baseboard heating and adding a new water heater). So, when we wanted central air conditioning, we immediately called Sila. We have an "older" home (about 50 years old), and we don't have ductwork. Nick visited within a day or two of our call, measured everything, and explained our options. He's very knowledgeable, and we felt we had good choices to fit our needs and budget. The team is very professional, very thorough, and very patient. The technicians must have answered a thousand questions, and we really appreciated that they were helpful and patient -- they listened to us. Best of all, the project was done on time, and on budget. They are great professionals and technicians who have a high level of concern for their customers. Thank you ! Thank you!

The technician who came to do the work, Bill, was outstanding. He answered all of my questions, and helped me to understand my system better. I'm very happy with his work, and will ask for him again.

I felt 120% satisfied about Bill’s service. He was so polite and patient explaining everything basic things I need to know. And he was so honest about what things need to be fixed and which not, and explained well all the options available. He’s very professional, efficient and so pleasant to work with! I would recommend to anyone I know whenever they need service.

Sila called me to let me know 30minutes before the tech arrived. He arrived on time; was clean cut and professional. Services performed in 30 minutes!

Technician found "major issues" with heat/AC, total system would need to be replaced supposedly. There were two condos/owners in one building and BOTH systems had the exact same problem - estimated $30,000 to repair each unit. Spoke with someone very knowledgeable and they advised that system is the "Cadillac" of that manufacturer's product line and under warranty for 25 years, that the alleged damage/issue is very rare (yet BOTH systems have it), and if issue was as bad as stated by tech, it would have been red tagged to take it out of service - preventing others from working on it. Almost feel like we were being taken advantage of because we are female!

The Sila team was very professional, and did a great job. I would recommend them highly. I was surprised by the cost of the job but I don't believe that I could have had the work done for any less. I would definitely use them again for any HVAC work needed.
