Description of Work: The Service provider came to my home for an estimate and charged me 120.00, other providers came out after and did not charge me for the estimate. On Angie's List it says free estimates and I am irate about the entire situation. He told me that the full a/c and the furnace when only the compressor outdoor needed to be replaced at half of the cost of Sila's estimate.

Regarding your service call, I have in our system that we visited your residence in order to address a no cool issue with your A/C system, and not to provide you with an estimate. Our service technician found that the compressor had failed on your system, and based on the age and the current condition of the system he recommended replacing the entire system. It was noted that if you decided to go ahead with the replacement the service charge would have been credited towards the replacement cost. We at Sila stay away from costly bandage fixes on older equipment, as this will likely lead to more issues in the future.
