Description of Work: The service person who checked over my furnace was competent and courteous, and he gave me helpful advice on the furnace. The office was efficient in setting up the appointment. I have no idea how the price compares with what other companies might have charged; it was an Angie's list special.

Description of Work: The installers were very professional and courteous..and clean! |I thought the price was a little high, but didn't have time to shop around. |Overall, I was happy with the service. I will ask SILA for an estimate on another system at a different location.

Description of Work: Sila installed a 18,000 btu split unit (cool/heat) in a new house extension. All was done very professionally and also help us obtaining the rebates from MASS by putting together the application package.

Description of Work: The guy who serviced our oil furnace did the job arrived on time etc. They probably do not want him on their marketing team however as he starts off by saying SILA will never service it again and will not warranty his work so I just think he needs to work on his people skills. We know it is an old furnace and I am still glad they came out and serviced it as I want to get everything I can out of it before buying a replacement.

Description of Work: The Install date was set up quickly and worked into my schedule perfectly. He arrived on time and the job went perfectly. Neat and professorially done. |And, yes, I would use Sila again and, in fact, I'm waiting for an estimate on a furnace replacement.

Description of Work: We had ductless air conditioning (5 indoor units, 1 large outdoor unit) installed in the 2nd and 3rd floor of a 2-family. Everything went smoothly. The people we spoke to about the job were very patient answering questions and waiting for our loan to go through. The workers were very quiet, polite, and efficient. Everyone from Sila wore booties on their feet when they came into our house which I appreciated. The only negative is that we had to put the LARGE outdoor unit in our side yard and it is pretty unattractive with big black tubes coming out the back. We plan on getting some lattice panels to hide it.

Description of Work: I called Silas to repair my heating system which was occasionally making a lot of noise when operating. There was a little misunderstanding in setting up the time (I thought they set it up for Tuesday morning but they had scheduled it for Friday) but at the end they showed up on Friday morning as scheduled. They gave me an estimate of the repair cost, explained the options and the risks before they fixed anything. We made a decision on what to do, they ordered the parts which was delivered to my house in 30' (since they were in stock in a nearby store) by one of their delivery guys. The repair went smoothly and at the end I got to pay a little lower than the estimate because they didn't have to replace one of the parts. The whole process took 2hrs and 30 mins. The repairman was professional and stayed for 15-20' after the repair was completed to explain the costs and options of replacing my heating and A/C unit since it's already 16 yrs old. The overall experience was again great (I had used them twice in the past) and I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: I received the Big deal for new hot water heater. I was very happy with service. At time of service I questioned tech if a different problem I was having with my pipes could be easily resolved and the tech went out for parts and then installed a cold water conversion tank which solved my problem. The tech was very knowledgeable and I appreciated his help. I would definitely use them again.
