Description of Work: I bought a device comprised of two hours of electrician's services for $99. That part is fine. What's not fine is that when you call to discuss your needs, you are not talking wit:h an electrician, which I didn't know. You are basically talking with a scheduler. with seeming limited knowledge or concern. On that call, I outlined my primary reason for calling was to activate a pre-existing electric line out by a tree at the end of the drive, and install a motion sensitive light for when a car pulls in the driveway. I sent them a picture. The scheduler said he couldn't tell if the pre-existing electric cable could be utilized. However, he said they could run a new one in its place and the timing and cost for that should be in the tangle of the two hours, given the short distance. | |Wll, when the electrician arrived he took one quick look and said: "you can't use that." when I inquired abt installing a new light, he said: "I don't have the equipment for that," a if there never was a discussion and a picture sent to the company in the first place. | | |Well, at that point, all we had to do was to swap out the old fixture on the garage with a new one, which probably took 10 mins or so. | |The work of the electrician who was dispatched was fine, but we otherwise didn't need two hours of an electrician and to think that your not speaking w an electrician when you call about an electrical issue is a problem. When I first my l l or electrician I am used to having a one on one discussion w a professional, texting and email pics, and generally diagnosing the costs and options in advance, so there are few surprises on site. This company seems to big to provide that kind of personal service, so I would avoid them in the future.

Description of Work: Bought a big deal to get our two ACs serviced. Sila is typically higher in price, but they show up and do a good job.

Description of Work: They did an inspection and then recommended a new furnace which was a good suggestion--mine was over 30 years old. They provided great advice and I ended up using them for the purchase and install of the furnace which was done efficiently. They returned to check on it and made a needed repair and I am satisfied.

Description of Work: Installed and wired for a ductless AC/Heat wallunit.

Description of Work: They didn't fix anything after waiting over two months for an appointment. There was a long list of things for the electrician to address and there was an excuse/reason for why they couldn't fix any of it. The most important task was just replacing a new light fixture from Loews. I was told the threading on the screws was worn but a professional electrician put up a week later without an issue. I will not use them again for any service to include air conditioning/plumbing. There are offers on Angie's list is a way for them to make additional money.

Description of Work: This company came out to clean and service our furnace. Upon inspection, they red tagged our furnace, told us it was dangerous to turn on due to a crack inside, which scared us. We called another furnace company for a second opinion and they found nothing wrong with the system. I then called the gas company who came out and confirmed that the system was fine and not leaking gases at all. I would not ever recommend this company.

Description of Work: Bobby & Mike came out to install a video surveillance system (which we purchased separately). They mounted 4 exterior cameras in difficult to access locations, and ran the wiring throughout our attic and into our living space. The wiring was done very professionally, and the outlets that were added (passthrough type, or "doghouses") look very professional. Although there were some scheduling delays due to weather, on the day they arrived they were right on time, and they worked very quickly. They were very upfront with us on the estimated time, and they did not go over without checking in first. Although their hourly rate is a bit higher than other electricians we have used, we would be more than happy to welcome them into our home again in the future when we add more cameras! If you need professional electrical service, don't think twice before calling Sila!

Description of Work: Installed a Mitsubishi split AC/Heating system. One 15 BTU unit, and three 9,000 BTU units, along with the wiring, etc. They finished in a day and the work was beautifully done. They did a complete and thorough clean up when they were done.
