The diagnosis was quick-30 minutes. The technician Steve gave us a detailed description of what he needed to do and the costs. Surprisingly, he was able to complete the work on the same day and did not need to reschedule for another day. He made suggestions of how we can best maintain the AC during the season. It was a good experience.That said, now we need to have some hot weather and give it the proverbial "acid test."

I called for an estimate on an oil to gas boiler conversion and found out that they do not work on steam boiler systems.

I found them through Angie's List. Their price is usually $190 or something or like that, but the price what I paid was a special on Angie's List for limited time only. They did a very good job. They checked and cleaned out whatever had to be cleaned out. They checked all the voltages and cooling material and made sure it was fully charged, and they checked the thermostat. They were very nice and pleasant. They were a couple of hours late, but that’s because they got tied up with previous locations. I have had no complaints at all for what he did this time. I would continue to use them in the future if needed.

Got the Angie's list coupon for residential HVAC service. The technician arrived on time and was great about letting me know what issues I had with the unit without pressuring any unnecessary repairs. He took the time to explain everything to me in enough detail that I felt like I understood the process.

This company is very responsive and professional -- called ahead of time to let me know name of technician and when he would arrive. Craig was extremely knowledgeable; made suggestions for several improvements for overall system configuration which I will consider for later this year. Checked units, changed furnace filters and helped me change humidifier filter as well; also worked to help me identify a leak (probably humidifier system) that had occurred and then disappeared. Showed me hw to change a vent on humidifier I didn't know existed. Found a mis-match between 2 condensers and A/C systems. Overall a very good experience -- did much more than promised -- and I would certainly recommend Craig and use SILA again.

We were very pleased with the professionalism of the person who did the estimate. Ultimately, their price was so very much higher than any other estimate we received from other very experienced companies, that we could not justify their cost.

I originally had Rodenhiser in for an estimate, as they installed the system a few years ago. They charged $95 for the estimate, which was not credited towards the cost of the repair, which they estimated to be $950. I found Sila on Angies list, and scheduled a service call. They arrived right on time, and the work was done professionally for $370. I have a new HVAC company!

The tech should up at the very beginning of the service window, was professional yet friendly, and efficient. He found one problem, explained the options for resolving and then performed the needed repair. I would definitely call Sila for any problems or issues with our AC in the future.

I purchased a Big Deal for a service call and an hour of plumbing work. I had two small jobs, and I sent an email with a description of what I needed done, including the brands involved. But when the plumber arrived, he 1)had not received my email or any information about my needs, and 2) did not have parts for one faucet (Delta). He spent ~30 minutes doing the other repair. I believe the second repair could have been done in the remaining 30 minutes of my Big Deal. I realize this was a very good price, but I still need to call a plumber.

They seemed very rushed. Additionally, they were very quick to throw out a pricing without ever seeing the house itself.

The plumber was on time but the job was bigger than expected. The plumber did a great job and I was very pleased.

I heard about Sila through the Angie's List Big Deal coupon for 1 hour of plumbing labor. Our toilet was very loose and wobbly, so we used the coupon and called Sila for this. The plumber showed up right on time - a few minutes early, actually, and got right to work on the toilet. We had an unexpected complication when the toilet's shutoff valve snapped, but he handled it like a champ. Total time was about 90 minutes from start to finish, and he cleaned up after himself. Toilet is nice and sturdy now! I will definitely call them again in the future.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Because I purchased a Big Deal certificate, I know that I paid a lot less than most people normally pay.

When I called SILA, to see if they would be able to solve the drippy drain pipe problem, Martha said yes and we would be charged only $49 for the first hour (as the BIG DEAL) So we scheduled a date about 1 week out. I called back later to find out the price of additional hours. $160!! Sticker shock! We were originally scheduled for February 27, but the plumber was out sick. Martha called in plenty of time for me to rearrange my schedule. On March 7, the scheduler called to say Jim was on the way. 1/2 hour later Jim called. Massive construction was holding him up. I suggested an alternate route but got him smack into the construction again. He finally found his way using a large detour and he got right to work. 3 repairs were systematically analyzed #1 He carefully checked every pipe in the small water control closet ; He found no moisture; stated hot water draining in pipe when that space is cold could cause condensation. # 2 He found the part in his truck and replaced the broken handle. # 3 He had to crawl into the cabinet and feel for the water hose (coiled tubing) and straighten it out. an acrobat! All in all Jim was friendly and efficient in repairing the problems and reassuring me that that drain pipe would not cause any major leaks. It took him just over 45 minutes! . I was very satisfied with the service. Office personnel (Martha and scheduler) were very pleasant too.

Jim checked a leak under my kitchen sink, and determined that it probably was from a loose connection, which he immediately fixed. He looked over my leaking shower and gave me an estimate for repair/replacement. Then we went to the basement where a new drainpipe for the 1st floor tub was an obstruction in front of the washer. Jim showed me why it had been installed as it had (to accommodate venting), but pointed out how it could have been done better, with just a bit more time and care. He suggested that we leave it as it is until we have a plumber here for another job, then if we wanted to we could have it adjusted. The final thing he checked was an outside faucet that has been leaking for ages. He determined what needed to be done, got the parts from his truck, and fixed the faucet within the time frame of the coupon for service. Jim was friendly, helpful and professional throughout--and even made friends with our dog. I was extremely happy with this service!

I'm very pleased. They were supposed to be here at 8 AM, they were here at 8 AM on the dot. They were very considerate. He took care of things quickly and cleaned up nicely after. I am very pleased with it and would certainly use them again.

Service man was prompt (actually early!!), performed the job quickly, was clean and pleasant. I had a coupon for one hours worth of work so he could have took his time in order to charge more.... Shows that he is honest. EXCELLENT SERVICE ALL AROUND

In contrast, the man from Stila ran test after test until he had identified the problem, which was not obvious. He did the necessary repairs and I have not had a problem since. I was impressed by his professional attitude and thoroughness; he prided himself on doing a good job. I had purchased a coupon from Angies List and used it in addition to an additional hour for labor & parts.

I purchased the Angie's List "Big Deal", which covered 1 hr of work (normally valued at $169) for $49 because I wanted to replace our current kitchen faucet with a new one. I was able to schedule the work within a couple days of calling Sila and Jim arrived promptly on the agreed-upon date and got to work. The task was straightforward (replace a 4-hole double handle faucet with a 2-hole single handle faucet that I had purchased from Home Depot) and no problems were encountered. Everything was finished in about 50minutes and Jim cleaned up and even put back all the stuff underneath the kitchen sink. I rated "Price" a B because even though I got a good deal with the Angie's List coupon, I think the normal price (which would have been close to $169) would have been steep for the work.

I just did & as I said it was great.

.After they had replaced the valve it stopped working the next day and they came right out and solved the problem at no extra charge. They were very good and I would highly recommend them. They weren't pushy at all about trying to sell us a new furance even though ours is getting old, however, they informed us that we might want to think about getting a new one in a year or so.
