The company responded to my email, the workers arrived on time. Two personable young men did the work. As far as I can tell, they did a great job. I'd call the again. I can't remember what I paid, but it was not more than advertised on Angie's List.

Came out and gave me a quote for a whole new system and I still had the leak when they left. 2nd time I used them and both times try to upsell instead of what you asked for

VERY WELL. WORKER ARRIVED ON TIME, WAS PROFESSIONAL AND DID A GOOD JOB.

Plumber arrived early and did a good job with the replacement. I also wanted the tub spout off and replaced and he could not remove it as it was corroded on so that was disappointing. The price was way too high for 30 minutes work.

In January when my furnace started wheezing, moaning and groaning, I knew we had a problem. After researching on Angie's List, I called Sila. They came the next day, Jan. 23. Brian and Ivan couldn't have been nicer or more professional, right down to donning booties each time they emerged from the basement or from outside. After they looked all over, they recommended replacing all components the system: heating, air-conditioning, hot water heater and some duct work. My husband was out of the country, so I asked enough questions for both of us. Brian and Ivan answered all my questions thoroughly, showing me how corroded duct work in our 100-year old house had made the furnace work harder and partially blocked airflow. Inserting a camera inside of the furnace, they also showed me the dangerous corrosion which could have released carbon monoxide into the house. Our old furnace had been replaced 15 years ago and it was clear that its motor was failing and its useful life was done. The water heater was not quite as old, but had not much left in life expectancy either. The air-conditioning unit had been installed, incorrectly under the deck, also 15 years ago, so it was nearing its life expectancy also. So we decided to replace everything with some new ductwork drawing air in and venting it directly from outside instead of replacing the old corroded duct work leading to a chimney flue. A Sila crew arrived early the next day and completed the work by late afternoon. A few days later, an inspector from Sila came and went over the whole system carefully to make sure all had been done properly. Everything is running very well and our forced hot air heating (now quieter) and air conditioning is now more energy efficient. An added bonus is that our house no longer smells like the old basement. I highly recommend this company!

I purchased an Angie's List heating furnace tune-up coupon for $59.00. Technician Gaetano Cilluffo (Guy) came to perform the service/tune-up. He was professional and very knowledgeable, gave me all of the information I needed. I highly recommend him and Sila Heating and Air Conditioning.

Fine. Bill, the technician checked the operation of the furnace, tuned it up, and inserted a new filter. He also checked for carbon monoxide leakage and answered lots of questions. He was knowledgeable and thorough and pleasant . He did not leave a mess behind, and even wore protective plastic over his boots before entering the house.

The tuning-up work is O.K, but I was asked much more (> $2K) than other companies without any room for negociation, for replacing my heater.

Serviceman was helpful and took time to explain the functionality of a new system. Helped investigate options to repair a broken radiator. Like most of these places, they are expensive, but not crazy. Will call them again.

Service was completed to my satisfaction. The technician was polite and knowledgeable.

I booked a special for a boiler checkup and maintenance. They gave me three different price options for work, the minimum level which involved replacing some safety valves, a mid price of things that we could do now or put off for a bit, and the price if we plan to live here the rest of our lives and want to rebuild the system.

They came out and performed the services that we paid for. Overall the techs noted a few items that we needed to fix. I found their quote on the extended work to be high compared to other, but it terms of the work we asked them to do it was fine.

We have steam heat in our house. The existing system was failing in the middle of a record cold snap (ie consistently below zero temps). I had others out to provide quotes. The first person would not quote - too busy and too big a job for him since he could not hire added helpers. Many other calls to companies went unanswered. The second company came out promptly but I thought price was much too high so I was forced to continue looking for someone else. Called Sila and they answered the phone and responded to messages which was great given the circumstances. The best they could do was have someone come out in a week. The person who came out was professional and pleasant enough to deal with. However, it seemed he needed to "check with the engineer" before responding to questions. I did get a quote within a day which was great response. Problem was the price was crazy high. It was $11,000 more - nearly double what I ended up paying to a different company. I attribute this to the following 1) Sila provides a 5 year warrenty on the entire system. As such they will not reuse any existing equipment which in my opinion (and others who came out to quote) did not need to be replaced . While there is value in a 5 year system warranty, the added new equipment and associated labor cost far outweighed the benefit to me. 2) Access to our basement was tight and required at least partial disassembly of the boiler in order to get it into our basement. Conversations suggested this was a 4 man / 4 day job?! The company who ended up doing the work got the same model in and running in a day with an additional partial day several days later to flush the system and tweak some of the piping. Sila seems to be a professional organization but was not a good fit for my job. - Unwilling to use some existing equipment and uncomfortable with the partial disassembly / reassembly of the unit so overestimated labor needed.. As such the job cost was bid much higher than it needed to be.

Ductless unit installed. Many rescheduled appts. Finally arrived and installed. Quality work. Four hour window took the entire day. Ok. Could hear the technicians complain about overbooking and basically trashing the company. After being rescheduled again a couple of times for a 16k combi unit, I gave a hard deadline they would not commit to. Unprofessional. Too many other quality options. Same job done for 10k. Priced too high and a scheduling nightmare. A rating is a joke. All sales no service. Look elsewhere

We got 3 quotes. Sila was in the middle. I chose them due to their track record in the area, as they have lots of experience installing high velocity systems in old New England homes. I really couldn't be more pleased with the way this project went. The Sila folks were hired to install a new high velocity central AC system in our condominium built in the mid 1800s. The main work was done by a team of two installers who finished the main work (including crawling into a very tight crawl space) in 2 days. The remaining work was completed later by another person who turned on the system and brought it up to specifications. The workers were very professional, efficient and were supervised by an engineer and our sales rep, who were both on site during the original installation. The work also required a permit, which Sila handled well, despite difficulties scheduling the inspection with the city. Lastly, there were a few minor details left unfinished. The Sila folks readily returned, and even hired a carpenter at no additional cost to finish the work. I can't be more pleased. I would hire them again and I will recommend them to friends. Notes: 1. The cost below does not include electrical work. 2. I can't speak to the adequacy of the design since the system was installed in the winter, but I have no reason to think it won't cool the condo well.

Technician was professional and thorough

The appointment was set for Friday between 8am-11am. At 11am I received a call letting me know that the technician was running late. He arrived at 2pm. He explained that the cleaning would take 45min. I showed him to the boiler and went upstsirs to get some papers. When I returned 10 min later the technician told me that he was done. He placed a sticker on the front of the boiler, show me how the downstairs thermostat triggered the boiler to turn on, but the upstairs thermostat didn't. His recommendation was to have an electrician to repair the wire connecting the boiler to the thermostat. (I knew that. I thought that I could pay the technician for the additional work ) He was pleasant, and told me that he would inform his boss, and the company has people that do that work and they would get back to me. The reason for me not to use Sila again is that I paid to have the boiler cleaned. Both the person that called to schedule the work and the technician himself told me that the work would take 45min aprox. I do not believe that the work was done properly in 10min.

Great customer service called before they came. Gave a 1 hour window. Just would have liked fed back with what they serviced
