It went very well. They came twice: once to diagnose the problem, a second time after they got a replacement coil to install it and refill the system. I was very impressed with their professionalism: they made sure I understood every step of the process, responded to all my questions in a very detailed manner and even asked at the end if there was anything they could do better!

Very good experience. Appointment made in reasonable time, prompt, efficient,knowledgable, and courteous.

We have a gas-fired steam radiator system. The boiler was not coming on when it should have. I could hear the fan starting and the electrical ignition clicking, but the familar "whump" of the flames never came, or else came on hours after it should have (we have a programmable thermostat). A cold snap in November 2011 turned into a mini crisis. The company we had worked with before couldn't figure out what the problem was (Atlas Glen-Mor). I think we found Sila on Angie's List. It was the height of their busy season, but Sila came in soon after calling and did a thorough cleaning of the boiler's innards - sparking ignition, assembly, sensor and ground. The guy even wiped down the outside! The boiler worked perfectly for the rest of the winter. We are calling on them again for regular, annual tune-ups.

I thought I could apply it to my heating but it was only good for a plumbing project. I sold a condo that had a vent pipe in the attic that was sagging. I decided to use the coupon to have it fixed. I asked the woman when I booked it what the regular rate was after the fee; their hourly rate is $180. They may be good but I don’t want to pay that rate. They did a fine job correcting the sagging pipe.

The total cost, while not inexpensive, was exactly what was quoted to me on the telephone. I will use them again next year to check the system and determine if there are any leaks leading to low refrigerant. I am happy with the overall experience from setting up the appointment to fixing the problems.

These guys saved our bacon! We were moving, and the new owners were concerned about some old leaks in the HVAC system. One contractor came and said we needed a new part, one that had to be manufactured by the original mfg. It would take weeks. Sila came promptly, checked the entire system, did routine service, and got the system running perfectly in a couple of hours. Crisis averted. Sila really knew their stuff. And the price was reasonable.

The whole experience was very positive. From the first site visit, through the quotation and actual installation, everything was done in a highly professional manner. Follow-up work when required was also performed both successfully and very promptly. All the Sila personnel were respectful of my home and really knew what they were doing. The work took about a week to do, and because the crew completely cleaned up at the end of their shift each day, there was never any evidence that they were there, which made living through the installation process very unobtrusive. I couldn't be happier and would recommend Sila Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone looking to undertake this type of system installation. Plus....because of the high outdoor temperatures this summer, I've been most comfortable.!

As the result of an inspection for the sale of our house, we discovered problems with our AC and boiler. SILA repaired the AC problem quickly, but the boiler issue took several visits. The SILA technicians stuck with it and, in the end, didn't charge us for the final two visits to fix the problem. We were happy with their work.

They could not diagnose the problem. I felt like they did not know what they were doing. I would not hire this company again.

The company may perform free-estimates but apparently this excludes analysis of any ductwork changes needing to happen. I was told that getting the company's opinion on this part of the replacement of a heating and cooling system would require us to pay a technician at an hourly rate ($79 per hour or something like that) to come out. So we opted not to use this company. We're looking to get three free estimates for an overall solution and then hopefully to hire one of the companies that does the estimates Basically, this company's business model does not work for us Arguably, the company should NOT be listed as doing free estimates or at a minimum, the nature of their free estimates should be clarified in Angie's list

The work was done professionally and fairly rapidly. The quote was not the cheapest one we got, but we think the final product was worth the expense.

The person who came to examine our home incorrectly identified the type of water heater we presently have (he disagreed with both what our home inspector had said, as well as all the other firms who had provided us estimates). The firm also initially refused to give us a detailed written estimate, only a stated dollar value with no details-- not even saying what size or model of boiler would be provided--unless we agreed to take yet more time off work, and have both of us meet with the representative to go over it. They further refused to tell us ("for liability reasons" - direct quote from an email) what size boiler we needed if we wanted to buy it (for much, much less money) through the gas company instead of buying it through them. I was furious, and took this complaint up to the supervisor level. With great reluctance, the firm provided a written estimate, and it was a darn good thing because of little details such as the statement that the cost of electrical work was not included. And, they were more expensive than other estimates. Trust destroyed, despite having hired them for routine A/C inspection work, we hired someone else.

Very professional. Completed a system thorough system check and maintenance of air conditioning unit. Identified potential part of the sytem that would require service in the future. The follow-up up with detailed quote was never completed despite serveral requests though.

They do not call you back. They are very unresponsive.

THe only reason for the punctuality "B" is they rescheduled my original appointment - with sufficient notice to make it acceptable and ran late on the rescheduled appointment. But they did get there and they were worth waiting for.

He did a ver diligent and good job. He was on time and the systems are working well. The Big Deal worked out great.

I bought the annual discounnted. service package through there webpages on Angie's list. We arranged a date by phone. I met the technician at the house, showed him where everything was and left him to do his work. There were no problems.

The service provider came on time and was the epitome of professionalism. I am extremely impressed with Sila as a company and will continue to use and recommend them. The technician was very methodical in his diagnostic approach and was quickly able to assess the situation and provide a solution. He worked very efficiently and was very respectful of my home, wearing shoe covers as he entered. Great company!

When I rejected the initial bid, they began to drop the price more and more.

He arrived on time and was very thorough and professional. Would not hesitate to call them again.

There was this deal on A/C inspections for Angie's List members, so we went for it.The technician arrived promptly, he was cheerful and super friendly. He explained in detail everything he did and gave clear information on what maintenance we would need to do (filter changes etc.). Then we ran into trouble when we didn't have access to the outdoor unit on the roof top (clearly our mistake). It was not a problem at all, we just scheduled a second visit at no additional charge (!). That second visit then had to be rescheduled again, due to the unusual heat and lots of A/C emergencies on that day. SILA only cancelled when I called to check at the end of the time window they had given me, therefore only a B on punctuality. Other than that we were very happy, job was done promptly and thoroughly by very friendly technicians. Recommend!
