Sila Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical

Although the technician was a half an hour late he came in and went straight to work. I am satisfied with the job that was done.

They have been number 1 for maintaining our system. They arrived on time and the service was fabulous.

We had an emergency situation with a broken furnace. They came out as an emergency call. They were responsive, punctual and extremely helpful and professional. I will be using them for all of my future maintenance and service needs for my A/C and furnace.

Even though it is a Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend when Sila heard that we have no heat they sent a serviceperson out to our house right away! Pete went above and beyond to help us get back to having heat in our home. He was extremely easy to understand and helpful. Great service!

The service went great. Technician was professsional. I actually missed my first appointment (my fault entirely), and they rescheduled me without any problems. The technician also pointed out and serviced something that was actually supposed to have been done by the company that installed the burners. I was completely satisfied with the work done and am seriously considering signing a multiyear contract for year around service; including 24 hour emergency calls.

We were in the middle of a really bad heat wave, and our A/C units were just struggling to keep our house cool. After the service appointment, the units ran much more efficiently and were able to keep our house cool despite the high temperatures outside.

Technician's name was Bobby. He arrived at the agreed upon time of 8am. He performed the tune-up as stated. He did not attempt to sell me any additional services or products, I greatly appreciate that. He did inform me of a few things I should look out for and/or be aware of, also appreciated. I would definitely consider Sila for future services or products based on today's experience. Sometimes LESS really is MORE.

Been in this house almost 3 years. Had not had the boiler tuned up yet and not sure when (or if) the previous tennants had had it done. Saw this was available through Angies List as a Big Deal coupon and jumped at the oppurtunity. The serviceman from Sila was on time and professional. He left detailed notes about what he did and assured us everything would be good for the winter. Would definitely use this company again.

They were supposed to come out yesterday at 9 a.m. It got to be 9:30 and I called to make sure they were still coming. They told me they only had 1 employee who did plumbing and he wouldn't be back until after Thanksgiving. Therefore, I contacted another plumbing company and requested a refund from Angie's List.

I had an issue where I needed a quick estimate in order to try and get our condo sold. I called Sila and they had a guy out to my place within an hour. He was kind and courteous and knew his stuff. Unfortunately, I didn't have them do any work as our particular issue could not be resolved in any easy manner, but I would have been happy to use them if it could have been. Thanks!!

Technician showed up early (but not too early), and got the work done quicker then estimated. Job looked good and everything was left clean.

The were puctual, professional and did a really nice job. I've already made an appointment to use them again in December to service my furnace.

SIla is clearly very busy, they could not schedule me for another month or so, but this was not a problem, it was not an emergency. They were very punctual, courteous, explained everything, did a thorough job. i was very happy with them, and would use them again

During this routine end of year service, the technician pointed out that the pump we had was insufficient in size, old and had no shut off capability exposing us to a flood if the unit failed. He found this as he was shutting down the AC for the winter. He left me a written quote detailing all that they would need to do and a dollar quote. After thinking about it for a day, I called them back and had them do the repair. During this repair, the looked into another part of the furnance and found rot (the system is not that old) and although no water appeared to be getting in this area now, he recommended that it be repaired. They once again left a detailed quote and instructions on what they would do. In both cases, we were charged EXACTLY what we were quoted. I have long struggled with having the correct coverage for my furnance and have used NStar as my repair people for years. I never had a problem but never felt totaly secure. After the work that Sila did, I decided to cancel my contract with NStar and sign a three year deal (heat and AC) with Sila. I couldn;t be happier with the repair work, their promptness in keeping appts, the thoroughness in the work that they do and the quotes they give and their overall professionalism. If you are not using these guys you are carzy. Sila is the best!

Excellent person with nice personality and good manners and very good with details of what he was doing and what was needed and not needed. He is a gem of a worker. They are prompt and reasonalble nice to do business with.

While it initially took two phone calls to get a call-back from the office, all further contact went very smoothly. I even got a call from the office the morning of my appointment letting me know that, if I was available, the technician could be at my house earlier than expected. Bobby arrived promptly and was very friendly and professional, fully explaining what he would be checking and then what he found during his inspection. He also advised me as how to best maintain my a-c system. A warranty policy was explained but no pressure exerted upon me to accept it. I am very pleased with the service received from Sila and would definitely use them again.

I appreciated the thorough description of the items he checked that was written on the invoice at the end of the service, and also his suggestions on seeking discounts from NSTAR, etc. when we look for a new furnace. He was efficient, courteous, and punctual, all of which I greatly appreciated. I believe that the heating system is working a little better now, which was a pleasant surprise, given that our system is so old and inefficient. It seems that the cleaning and a little bit of tweaking has helped it to limp along a bit longer--hopefully to get us through the winter before we have to replace it. I would highly recommend Sila. (And on a side note, we had a Sila plumber here on an Angie's coupon before to do a plumbing overview. He was quite wonderful, and fixed a couple of nagging problems within the hour he was here. Again, I would recommend their services for both general plumbing and for the heat/AC.)

Found Sila on Angies list and gave them a call. Scheduling went well and tech showed up on time. After they evaluated the burner, they explained the problem and estimated a repair. Parts were ordered and installed a few days later. Had them include overall maintenance on the system and cleared up some other minor issues. Overall, the experience went well and i'd call them again.

All work was most excellent and Sila is one of he most professional service companies we have had the pleasure of dealing with. Sam, our sales rep. was personable, responsive, and when he didn't have an answer to our question, he saw that we had the answer the next day. We will most likely add a humidifier and will use Sila again.

Photos taken of corrosive pipes that would continue to worsen if not corrected. For a one year contract, the pipes could be fixed,have 24/7/365 service contract on the system all seemed very reasonable. All in regard to heating system.

The tech was awesome. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was accommodating to my curious nature. He allowed me to look over his shoulder while he worked and that takes some great patience! I learned a lot and he did a fantastic job. I would definitely hire them again.

Although the 1st time appointment was lost by them, their 2nd appointment was on time, sharp. Plastic bags were used to cover his shoes to protect our hardwood floor. Did all the job described. Well done.

Basically, he checked my furnace over, cleaned it, adjusted the temperature of the water going through (he thought it was set a little high) . He also answered some questions I had. He was very professional, very pleasant and was in and out in less than an hour. Note: My furnace was only 6 years old so I did not expect to find anything seriously wrong with it. I feel it is worth the money to stay ahead of any problems which usually are very expensive to fix.
