During annual servicing of furnace, technician noticed that igniter had been chewed by rodents, exposing wires. He was able to arrange for a technician to come the following day to replace the igniter. The technician removed the damaged part and replaced it with a new one. He also checked the system operation, chimney draft, and the safety of the whole system and found a potential problem with the venting system which he recommended I fix. Very professional, courteous and friendly. We have used this company for our servicing since we found out about them through a "Big Deal" at the beginning of 2011 and have been very pleased.

Because the response was so big, we had to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment, but it was not a time-critical service. The professional came, did his work quietly, neatly, and efficiently, answered our questions about another area without extra charge. This was about 1/3 to 1/4 of the price I have been paying with my previous HVAC company which, apparently, has been taking me for granted over the years. I would definitely recommend Silas Heating and I would not hesitate to use them again!

I schedule an appointment with the provider. Their representative showed up on time and wore booties to cover his work boots. He did the service to my furnace and make recommendations for future services items. Very professional.

Serviceman was prompt, efficient, and professional. Appeared to know his work very well. He serviced the two units as per the Angie's Deal that I had purchased. At the end, he gave me a list of about $2000 worth of work he said I needed. For now, the units work fine. I will keep his estimate and listing of repairs, but it appeared to me that the real purpose of the "deal" was to evaluate my systems for additional work. Maybe that's too cynical, but I've never been given such a list before by previous air conditioner servicemen.

They replaced our ductless A/C with a new unit. The account manager and all workers were professional and hardworking. Scheduling was fast and easy and follow up was great. System works great! No complaints whatsoever.

The representative of Sila Heating & Air Conditioning couldn't have been more professional. We purchased a "deal" coupon to have theminspect/service our AC unit. They responded quickly and set up an appointment just as quickly. They arrived on time. The workman was clean and professional. Checked both the interior unit and the exterior unit. Cleaned, replaced filters and did some minor adjustments with no added fees. Only the cost of the original deal coupon. My wife and I were greatly satisfied with our experience with this company. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone that needs AC servicing.

Again, a big deal purchase where you get what you pay for, really. Although I think the service was fine, I don't believe the filter was changed as it still looked like the same one as before. I'm not a big believer in Angie's list Big Deals anymore, basically because you really only get what you pay for. When you pay full price, the providers don't skimp on the extras.

The Technician was prompt an courteous. He made sure to protect our hardwood floors while maneuvering our new hot water heater into the basement and removing our old one. The process was very efficient.

Sila did great! We used other maintenance services before, but the other guys just made sure heat was working, rather than check individual parts. We would know if the heat was working, but we wanted to be proactive to make sure it would continue to work w/o any problems the rest of the season. Sila did the work that made us feel good about our system.

It went well. Showed up on time. Cleaned and serviced the furnace. Changed 1 part.

It is always a pleasant experience in dealing with Sila. The only down side to the A/C maintenance was that Sila was unable to provide their certificate of insurance in the format The Green's property management company requires. Therefore the service rep was unable to check the condenser.

The plumber arrived on time at 7:30am -- the day that tropical storm Sandy arrived. He left one hour later with everything that we needed done finished for less than $90 including parts. Job well done.

My computer had gone down, but Sila contacted me within three hours of purchasing the deal to schedule an appointment. They will be coming out to perform the work.

They came on time, were knowledgeable, completed the work, and cleaned up. Explained clearly what they were doing while they were doing it, and why they were making recommendation to change copper heat coils (which had not been looked at for about 5-7 years).

We found Sila through Angie's List. We used them before for fixing our house-wide humidifier which was improperly installed by somebody else. It was easy to make an appointment and the technician, Peter, showed up right on time. He was very professional in both his demeanor and his work. He also recommended for us to contact an electrician to replace a disconnect box for the AC. We are very satisfied with Sila's service. The reason we put B for the price is because the hourly charge (in addition to the service fee) for this company is very high. However, as other reviewers have noted - Sila technicians perform very good work, and it seems that paying extra buys assurance in a work well done and pleasant interaction with the company and employees. We will definitely use them again!

As far as the service was concerned, they were great, very professional. However, as it turned out, we had a major problem with one of our gas furnaces. It was old, not really worth fixing, and needed to be replaced. Which was fine. I felt moderate sales pressure from one of the guys, which I didn't need since we did need a new furnace. The price was also higher compared with what we paid another company to install the same system. Guess price also depends on where you live.

Sila did an excellent job. A rodent's nest was found in my condenser, and Sila cleaned it out.

Overall, a great job by Steve. He was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He got me a summary of the steps he took for cleanup and maintenance of my boiler and found that I needed a replacement wire for the flame verification. He then took the time to walk me through relighting the pilot, should I ever need to do that. Highly recommended

We arrived home late Sunday evening to a house without heat. I called these guys this morning at 8 and within a minute they had arranged a 2PM service call. They called back 5 minutes later to see if I'd prefer a 9:30AM slot as something had just opened up. I thought that was great. Then at 1:55PM I received a call on my mobile to say that they wouldn't arrive until 2:15PM -- I would normally have considered 2:15 plenty on-time given what I've grown to expect from service companies in general; and to expect "Bobby," -- a thoughtful move as I was not at home and my wife was. I came home to a warm house, everything was clean and in great working order. They were great. (I don;t have much to compare their pricing to, but I gave them an A because it seemed reasonable considering her had to install a new ignition.)
