Sila Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical

I took advantage of a tune-up special for approximately $89. The technician was polite and professional and seemed to know what he was doing. However, I did not appreciate that the sticker from the original installer was removed from the furnace and replaced with one for Sila. I also thought it was presumptuous to attach a Sila schedule which assumed that I would be using them again.

Sila replaced my old gas water heater with a new one with the total cost of $779. It is definitely a great deal. Sila did a superb job in less than 2 hours. Highly recommend Sila to anyone looking for replacement of water heater.

It went very well, very efficiently.i bought the deal yesterday afternoon around 5pm, requested it to be done today and they did it at11am. I am very pleased with the service at Sila company.

Everything went well, and I was impressed that even though our air filter was clean, he left another one for us to use as a replacement when we needed it. The technician seemed very honest.

Office support and communication was excellent. Tech came and checked out the system, made a diagnosis, and recommended repairs. Office called when parts were received to provide a quote and schedule the work. Tech arrived when promised and made repairs. Working well 3 weeks later. Also had them stop by to provide a proposal for a new system. Sales guy arrived on time, checked out the house and existing system, made a recommendation and provided a price. We haven't yet decided what to do. My only somewhat negative comment relates to the high cost of the work. Probably an A rating if cost had been $400 rather than $600. But at least it appears to have been done right and they didn't waste my time.

They showed up on time and did the work as stated within the deal. There were no issues.

They first person that came did a poor job. They came and did the inspection and quoted me for the work that was needed. I was happy to get the work done, but I do not think they did it very well. They installed a new filter and a new overflow valve. The overflow valve was not connected correctly and the parts were just left nearby. They also had left the compressor turned off. The unit would only blow warm air. I called the company and told them to come fix it. The other tech fixed it and it was just fine.

Bought two coupons through Angie's List Big Deal, so the price was very reasonable. They got back to me within 24 hours of that purchase to schedule the appointment. Arrived within the specified window of time. He was friendly, thorough, and explained to me everything he did. He did try to sell me on a service contract with the company, but didn't pressure at all when I declined. Was very pleased with the experience, and we have had no issues with our A/C this summer. I plan on using them to do tune-ups for the furnaces this fall.

I've had a rattle and buzz that I've had difficulty isolating. The fan motor was probably going to be replaced. The part was ordered and upon return they were able to reset the original fan to correct the problem.

I am very satisfied with Sila heating and air. Got the same day appointment on Friday before the labor day weekend! Steve was the Sila's technician who came onsite to repair the problem. He is very knowledgeable, very professional, arrived on time, troubleshooted the problem, explained what it was and fixed it in a very short time. Thanks Steve! Thanks Sila!

They were on time. They were courteous. He was knowledgeable and experienced. He diagnosed it and fixed the problem.

The person who came did an excellent job. I felt much more confident with him than with the previous company that had done work for me.

Steve Markussen and his team installed central A/C in our 4,800 sq-ft, 1928 colonial and the job was first class. I got quotes from four different providers and Steve's was the most competitive by far, and he was the only person really committed to the job (it was a tough job). Could not be more pleased with how it went. Strongest recommedation for A/C retrofit in any big old house.

Mixed experience with Sila. I had them over for two service calls, to service my AC and boiler at my new house, and they were great. The technicians were on time, polite, informative, and explained everything to me thoroughly. After examining my boiler, the tech recommended that I consider replacing it due to age. I scheduled a Sila engineer to come out to give me an estimate on a new boiler. On the day of the appt, the engineer called to say that the office double booked him. Not a problem, he was just going to come the next day and would call me when he was on his way. Well, he never called and never showed up. I even called and left him a message, never for a response. Replacing my boiler is going to be a $10k piece of business, and I can assure you I will not be giving it to Sila. Showing up is rule number one in business. And if you can't even show up (or call), then my business will go elsewhere.

Great job, the service man explained to me what he was doing and advised me what additional work could be done in the future.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and he did a good job. He did try to talk us into a huge follow up, which we talked about to another technician, and it happened that we didn't need it. He gave a thorough explanation of what we should follow up with, which we didn't although he made sense. But I think he was an alarmist and was trying to scare me.

I think Sila is an excellent provider and will absolutely use them again. First, a technician came to service both my upstairs and downstairs units. He was on time to the minute, friendly and efficient. He gave me the not-unexpected news that my downstairs unit needed replacing (it was old, loud and not very efficient). Sila then contacted me and we scheduled the installation. At the last minute I had to reschedule and they were accommodating and polite despite the inconvenience I'm sure this caused for them. They were waiting in their truck for the 8am start time and rang the bell on the dot. Everything was installed and hooked up, with the old equipment removed, well within the estimated time frame. They were even thoughtful about making sure our indoor cats didn't escape before I was able to lock them in a room for the duration.

Very professional, courteous and a good value. I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for routine maintenance. They were very responsive, and I was able to set up a date/time within a couple of weeks of the initial phone call. The technician arrived on time, and was very polite. He explained everything to me and only did work after discussing it with me. He found a couple of problems with our heating/ac unit, but was able to repair everything. The cost for everything was lower than I would have estimated. Overall a very positive experience, and I will definitely use Sila again.

They were great. Punctual, professional, and they did what they said they would do. They also made us aware of some pending issues with the system but were not pushing us to do the work. Very pleased with them.

The senior tech was punctual, professional, and friendly. He explained the details of the job and was very courteous. The job cost a little more than what I wanted to spend but in the end it was worth it! I would definitely use them again!
