One tank and the toilet were included in the Angie's list deal. He added the other tank for the same price as the deal. For the extra work, he gave me three options of different amounts he could do. He was very forthright and upfront about what needed done, what could be an option and what other things he would recommend. At no point did I feel pressure to choose one option over another. I felt he was giving me the facts and that I would have final say over what was done, based on what I felt I could afford and what seemed vital. He was punctual and polite, as well as being informative.

Sila Heating and Air Conditioning were fabulous! Immediately responsive, came when we agreed, installed water heater, were meticulous in making sure my finished basement and carpet was not impacted in any way (put down paper on rug to prevent any staining), meticulously cleaned up after. Beautifully executed job and the plumber was very nice and professional!

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it went very well. I had them do extra work because I have two air conditioning units so there was an additional charge. The technician was a very pleasant guy and he wore little booties in the house, which I appreciated, so he wasn't going in and out to his truck tromping in dirt. He was very careful and cleaning up after himself. That was noticeable so I liked that. I thought the price was a little high for putting in a couple of traps. He had to push our appointment back a couple of times because he was delayed or something.

They were excellent. That was the first time that I used them. The technician who came out did a real thorough job.

They serviced our furnace and then walked us through some of the issues that needed to be addressed. We are reviewing these recommendations and may have them come back and fix what needs to be fixed. The technician was very courteous and seemed to be quite knowledgeable about the system.

I contacted the dealer offering the Big Deal thru Angie's List. Unfortunately, the service offered is for a gas furnace and air conditioner and mine home has oil. Therefore, the coupon could not be used. The dealer suggested I contact Angie's List for a refund. Thank you for your cooperation. We have enjoyed other Big Deals thru Angie's List in the past.

The installation went very well. Jim was professional, quick. and quiet. I would use Silas Heating again in a heart beat.

It turned out well. They come every other year and do this. We have been going to them for at least 4 years, maybe 5 years. They do a good job. The big deal is reasonable cut in the cost which makes it worth it for me.

The Sila team excelled in all areas of the installation work they did, including accommodating our specific requirements about system and condenser siting, conduit placement and overall neatness of installation to be highly efficient yet unobtrusive. Everything went where it was supposed to, all work was incredibly neat, clean and the fit/attention to detail is as good as you will ever find. Whatever carpentry or cutting work was needed was first rate, right down to matching paint color and using matching downspout conduit for the outside piping to the condenser. Cleanest installation I have ever seen. Having pulled 4 quotes from varying well-respected firms, we opted for a High Velocity system because of the open floor plan and unusual layout of our contemporary Cape and conventional systems would have required incredible amounts of inside finish work and soffitts to accommodate all the duct work. Bids varied widely with an overall spread from low to high of 20k and while all evaluated the same amount of air to treat and relatively the same size of systems need to do the job, the execution plans varied greatly which contributed to the wide cost variances. If you need an after-build HVAC installation and can afford the extra do-re-mi high velocity systems still do cost over conventional, you should proceed with no second thoughts or concerns about whether you have picked the right contractor for the job. These people take old world pride in their work and whatever extra cost the actual system did require was offset by no reconstruction or interior finish work in our case. The treated air outlets are small 2" circular ports that are ceiling-mounted or high up on high walls and the air return registers were placed up high on walls where you will not even see them but where they do a great job of pulling in the hot room air. The systems start and run very quietly and the reports of loud whooshing air movement are not the case here in our home, probably due to the location of all the vents high up in our open walls and ceilings. We had one hot day this fall to run-in the system after it was installed and it cooled down the house and more importantly really lowered the relative humidity in less than 90 minutes, then ran for about 10 minutes each two hours to maintain it at 78 degrees. Sila advertises that the systems have a 30% greater ability over conventional AC to pull moisture out of the air and they mean it. We live on a river and the relative humidity in the summer on hot days can hit and stay in the 90's...This system really does extract lots of moisture from the air. These guys are pros and demonstrated time and time again they cared about me as a customer. If you have the experience we did you will never regret the extra cost involved to install this system and get it done right.

I got the Big Deal for water heater replacement. Jim is the plumber from Sila. He is very professional, friendly, easy-going, and knowledgeable. He is on-time (actually early), which is what I like. He gives good suggestions and advices. The extra $30 is for the water valve (not the cheap knob ones) installation. I would definitely recommend Sila for its service.

My experience went okay, however, he did not come with all the parts needed for the job. The company did not tell him of the jobs details. They job ended up taking 2 days instead of the one it should have. The guy who came to do the work was friendly and professional though.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and the work was okay. I had a boiler that was broken and once they saw it there was nothing to do but get a new one. They seemed to have a good new one, but the pricing was quite out of line with other bids.

Came as an Angie's "special deal" to service/inspect before winter. Heating systems are ~10 yrs. old and never been serviced. Found several things that "needed" service/replacing. Nothing was broken at the time but was preventing problems. Would the problems have happened?? I don't know. Took a chance... a form of insurance against problems. I have an 87 year old mother and can't be without heat. The man who came as prompt, efficent and obviously a good salesman. He also inspected and serviced the water heaters while he was here. Would call again if I have a problem (which I'm sure I won't after spending all this $)

The sales,installation & operations staff did a great job coordinating all the activities,and the entire production was started & completed within the stated time frames. The staff were all very professional and,after the work was completed,they left all areas spotless. The system has been operational now for a few months, and my family is very pleased with the comfort it provided during this past summer. I would recommend SILA unequivocally.

Good prompt service. Scheduling was quick & they were on time. The tech spent about an hour in the basement and I did not look at what he was doing since I was busy with my work. The furnace is about 15 years old & he gave me info that some things need to be fixed. Condensate pump need to be changed, inducer motor is on the way out, blower motor is on the way out etc. I asked him for a pricing sheet and he gave me the details. Overall he was very good I think. He did not push me to do the additional work.

Sila made an appointment right away, but called us the day before they were scheduled to come, saying they could do the work now if it worked for us. It was just fine with us, so the tech came, tuned everything up, and was very efficient and pleasant. We have had Sila here before and have been pleased.
