Sila Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical

It was fine. It wasn't exactly what I assumed it was but he was very nice. He was pleasant and efficient. I have seen much cheaper offers for the same problem. They did set up the appointment immediately.

The service person was prompt, professional, and friendly. He replaced a part on the toilet at no charge. I had several questions about the hot water heater and the furnace, which he answered. I decided to replace the hot water heater, since it had already lasted past it's expected time and the inspection showed that the bottom was corroding. I also had a part replaced on the furnace for the same reasons. I didn't feel coerced into these decisions. These would have needed to be replaced in the near future and it was good to get them done before they needed emergency replacement.

The experience was fine. We had a marvelous experience because the particular person that they sent out was very friendly, knowledgeable and eager to give me proper information and do the job well. As happen sometimes people from Angie's List...people they sent out are really terrific.

Technician Craig arrived and is excellent and really knows what he is talking about which is really refreshing. He diagnosed the issue within 30 minutes and then performed a series of other checks and tests on various other parts of the system. They will come back and upgrade some parts and we will go with a full maintenance program. I have had plenty of other providers that have come out to solve the problem and we have got nowhere. We are so relieved that our heating issues will finally be resolved! I strongly recommend Sila to anyone and especially technician Craig.

They did a good job, I have no complaints.

Work performed. As some have mentioned, Sila called on the day of the appointment and cancelled, but did come the following day.

Also used in spring AC servicing. Price is good if you use them early and get pre-peak price.

The customer service at Sila was great and the technicians were all VERY professional. They installed everything and left our house as is was in time for us not to feel the intense heat of July. The price was a bit high but we purchased a top of the line unit and the general service was great and I am willing to pay a little more for those. I am giving them a B in professionalism though because the only thing that I would say I was not 100% satisfied on was, they offered a service package to us at installation (July) and at the time we couldn't commit because of the added price. We called back a few months later to sign up for the service and they said they no longer offered the service package for just the air conditioning unit (we have an older heating system). Now we have to pay $$ everytime they come to service the unit versus paying for a service package where they maintain it every year. Not an ideal situation that they put us in.

Went pretty well. They cleaned off the interior surfaces of my gas heater for my forced hot water heating system, pointed out a flaw in the air intake that would be expensive to correct, noted what was getting close to failing and what was still OK. Tested carbon monoxide levels in the exhaust--too high at first, acceptable after they'd tuned it up. They did miss that the exhaust was vented into the chimney wrong (large furnace exhaust above small water heater exhaust. My chimney inspector noted it and rated it as a rather serious--but easy to fix--problem. It will apparently prevent the water heater from exhausting properly if they're both active simultaneously)

it went well??..craig was the technician who did the work??.he arrived on time and spent appx. 2.75 hours doing what they do for the tune-up???..he was very knowledgable and helped me understand why i wasn't getting consistent hot water??.he also showed me how to adjust one of the levers that controls the water flow ??.altho it's only been 1 day, my condo seems warmer; adjusting the lever seems to help with the hot water???.i was pleased with his work and his professional manner??i'd use them again?...

The plumber showed up on time and did a great job. Some plumbers don't take apart any pipes connected to the boiler when they claim they're giving you a 'tune-up', but this guy did without me even asking. I'd absolutely recommend, though you need to book a couple weeks in advance if you purchase with a coupon.

Sila's team was responsive and easy to work with. When we asked if we could upgrade to a 50 gallon they were able to immediately price it out & checks stock. The upgrade price was very reasonable. Our installer was on time, cordial and gave us extra advice on how to maintain the heater to achieve the longest lifespan. We were also happy that we were provided with a Bradford White water heater, which after reading lots of reviews, received some of the best.

I have a 50 year old oil fired steam boiler that needs replacing. They gave an "off hte cuff" quote of $9-12,000. I already have 3 quotes that go from $6000 - $7600.

Surprised at all the good reviews. My experience left a sour taste in my mouth. I usually do not write reviews, but in this case felt I should.

He arrived on time. The gas furnace is old. He could not remove a panel on the heater so could not perform the maintenance. He did point out several things that were wrong that were a hazard and recommend a new furnace. After he left, I called the company who had done a previous repair. They performed the maintenance and replaced one part. Said the furnace was old but was working fine...no need to be replaced.

It was OK, they did a good job, except for the end of it where they told me that I needed all kinds of extra work. They even used terminology that I found suspicious to describe the things that needed to be replaced. I'm an electrician and they were using terms like voltage storage system. So I went online and looked up the electrical components of an air conditioning system and they didn't exist. So I went online to a "do-it-yourself home repair forum" to seek expert advice. They said I got a salesman who is trying to sell me stuff that I don't need and using terminology that I don't understand and that I should not use these people again. I got a rough estimate from an air conditioning contractor on the forum and it was a third of what the guy told me. The voltage storage system is actually a charge storage system; a capacitor.

Went great. In and out in under an hour. Showed possible changes to improve the system but with no pressure. Gave a good description of the existing issues and how the cleaning helped.

I don't know if the price for the work done was good or not. The work needed to be done because the previous plumber had not secured the cast-iron pipes well enough to prevent leakage, so they had rusted (and I had thought he was a good plumber). Time will tell if Sila plumbers are better and if we use them again. The experience was uneventful. They acted respectfully and responsibly. When they couldn't make the initial appointment, they at least arranged an alternative and were prompt. It's just that the price for plumbing never ceases to amaze me.

The tech was knowledgable and super honest.

They replace my heating system. They inspected and noticed some incorrect installation from the prior installation. They corrected the problems. They were very prompt, responsive and professional.

It went okay and there was not very much for them to do. They just checked things. They said that everything was okay and I have used them before. What they were supposed to do was simple and the price was good.

I asked a lot of questions and he patiently answered them all. He was a pleasant fellow to talk to.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went very well. I have information from them going forward and I will probably use them again when I have to service the furnace in the spring and the fall. The service people were timely, knowledgeable and creative in getting solutions.

It seemed to go fine, provider was courteous. Found some issues with both the boiler and potentially the water heater. When I price shopped repairs for the small issues on the boiler I found Sila were about 50% higher than the few competitors Also I gave a B to punctuality as they rescheduled the original appointment the night before Not a big deal these things happen though
