Sila Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They just came in and looked at it; nothing really changed. I am not having any furnace problems now. My interaction with the provider was good; they were professional. I had to wait a month or two after purchasing the Big Deal for them to come out to do the service. They did not do anything wrong. For the price, I would probably expect a little more for the service. I think they came on time.

There was a bit of a hiccup during the scheduling process, but everything turned out well. The technician showed on time, was very knowledgeable and professional, and did a thorough job. Thankfully, he found nothing wrong with the furnace.

On short notice I required an appointment because I was moving to another state. They weremable to fit me in even though they were fulky booked. The plumber was late but he called me to let me know that he was stuck in traffic. When he arrived he got to work quickly and finished in 45 minutes like he said he would. Everything seems to be working great.

They did the tune-up and I had a leak. So he looked at that, but now I have two slow leaks. He had a fairly strong sales pitch, so I was a little overwhelmed by that. He was a little pushy for me. He was more concerned about being a salesman than getting the work done.

Good. We had a few communication snafu's in the beginning, but they were great about getting back to us or addressing our questions.

They are my regular people now and I like them a lot. What I like the most about them is that they are very good at explaining what is going on and so they not only say you need this, they also explain, what the problem is, what would happen if I don’t do anything about it and by when I need to take care of it and the costs. So they are very good about laying out your options. I don’t know a lot of the comparison pricing.

Everything went very smoothly with the process of ordering, scheduling and installing. No complications. Installer arrived on time, went right to work and was done in a couple of hours. Installation was very clean and efficient and all old equipment, wiring, etc., was removed. My only disappointment was he didn't bring blocks or metal pan to put underneath the new heater, so it's sitting directly on the floor.

Our furnace broke down in the middle of the snowstorm this week (2/5/2014) We were obviously in need of urgent replacement - middle of the winter, little kid,etc We called several companies and while Sila did send out a rep pretty quickly the lack of professionalism and the insane price that we were quoted has no explanation. The reps of every single other company that came to evaluate the work requested to walk around the house, they looked at the radiators, took measurements, etc All quotes came back in the 5-6K range Not Sila's - the rep went straight to the basement, declared that the furnace needs to be replaced and that it will cost $13,000!!! We paid $130 for this 'service' and that was it. Given how many people had good experience with Sila - this could be a fluke but we most definitely are not going with them

All good. Technician was professional, informative. Boiler was in good working order so his checks and adjustments were minimal.

I also had them install a drain part that had not been installed when it was originally installed. They were very easy to work with. Scheduling was prompt and they arrived on time for the appointment. They even called me before they arrived. The technician explained what he was doing while he did it.

I received a call and when the caller realized I had a larger than 40gal electric water heater he said the offer was for a gas water heater. He said that would change things. He had me get the serial number from my present heater. I called back with the number and he said it would take additional piping to go from the present height to the new height. When I asked how much additional cost he said their consultant would have to see it and set up a plan. That was the last I heard from them.

They answered the phone promptly and were very courteous on the phone. The deal doesn't cover my type of furnace so it's better that I work with the oil delivery company directly. Thanks!

It was great and I had no problems. I liked the fact that he was actually willing to educate me, as far as what he was doing because I asked. I thought the price was fair because of the knowledge he gave me. What he did wasn't much, but the fact that I learned something out of it was more.

They have good sense of humor, knows what he's doing, and seemed like he's been doing this a long time. It was not the easiest job in the world because he's to all the connections and things that had to be dealt with and they dealt with it.

It went well. Everything was very satisfactory. Their price, timeliness and their thoroughness were all good. They did a good job and I was very satisfied. We definitely got our money's worth in service. They came out and did a nice job. They were very professional. He explained things to us. I would use them again.

They're fantastic. They actually installed a whole air conditioning system in our house. It's high velocity air conditioning. They were in and out in three days, you would have never known that they were even working during the day, they were fantastic with that. So that's why we bought the coupon at Angie's List when we saw that they were offering the tune-up for our heater. So we've been doing that - I think they come out every year. Actually, this year, our boiler died a couple of weeks ago and they came within hours of us calling them and fixed a new boiler within a couple of days. They've always been very responsive. When they say they're going to show up at a certain time, they show up right on time. They've been fantastic. They tried to fix our boiler. It was kind of an emergency, and they came and tried to fix it and when it couldn't be fixed, they applied the cost of the emergency service toward the new boiler. I would highly recommend them. We've been using them over and over again and we recommended them to our neighbors who also use them and they are happy with them.

They were very punctual, quiet and very nice.

We have an older boiler and he came to service it. He said the boiler on its way out and it ended up quitting on us a few days later. The technician was nice and arrived on time. He may have not been the most knowledgeable since it was such an old boiler.

The provider arrived promptly and checked the furnace. Due to the poor state of the furnace, a cleaning could have done more damage than help. The provider told me they couldn't do the cleaning and said I should request a refund. I have asked the provider for an estimate to replace the furnace.

Scheduling was prompt. The service turned out good. They installed some filters for us.

Because of an impending snow storm, Sila asked if their technician cold come early. Of Course! Steven explained the likely problem, fixed it, suggested that I use the Angie's List gift certificate to save some money, and offered a few ideas about the filters I should be using. Helpful, friendly, efficient. Bravo.

It went well. It probably took about an hour and a half. They were upselling. The price was reasonable.

didn't clean the furnace said the technician said he couldn't... looked at it for 5 minutes and told me that I needed a brand new heating system that the CO2 levels where dangerous. Mass save giving out 0% loans. I contacted the fire department and had chimney cleaned and have 2 CO2 detectors just in the basement that have never gone off. ????? my heat works......
