came without warning - not at the time specified - and about one hour ahead of my arrival at home

Tech came out to our house following our complaint of a smoking burner. Told me that "its probably that the last person didnt do a thorough job cleaning it." He told me that he would do a thorough cleaning which took about about 2-3 hrs, leading me to believe that he had done a thorough job. 2 days later we arrived home from a movie to a horrible smell that permeated the whole house and was noxious. We immediately called them back but it was late and i didn't receive a call back until late next morning and by that time we had already (thank God) gotten someone else out to take a look. This company told me that Burke had never even cleaned it and that the exhaust pipe was totally blocked with soot. He also told me that he had changed a setting which was incorrect. This tech told me that as a result of this carelessness the family couldve perished due to the boiler backing ups and noxious carbon monoxide being emitted. SO SCARY!!! The house still smells horrible and we ended up paying both companies for a job that should've been done correctly the first time and didn't risk my families' lives.

Great to work with. Spent time speaking with me about the AC issue and didn't treat me like I was an uneducated "home owner". They weren't the least expensive but they went out of their way to do the job right. Personally, I'd rather pay more for good service and a high quality job. Two thumbs up.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and gave me so much information I didn’t know. My project was completed sooner than projected. Less expensive than some other contractors I interviewed. Will definitely use again.

They are extremely overpriced for parts. Tech put a can of super boost in my ac to get the compressor to work charged over $100 for the can. I checked stores and found it for $15

The work was good but it was very expensive, $731 to replace a fan motor and capacitor, parts $294 labor $437. He quoted $4500 to replace the whole compressor in 2017 but I replaced another identical compressor for $2600 in 2015 (that guy unfortunately died maybe because he couldn't afford a health plan), I even showed him the old paperwork but he wouldn't budge.

Used them 2 years in a row to provide maintenance service for my 2 mini split ductless air conditioners. Service provided was professional, arrived as scheduled I will continue to use them.

They arrived early having called ahead. The office answers the phone and gives you the cell of the technician.

My central AC was tripping the circuit board every 5-10 minutes. Burke plumbing and heating sent someone to my house to check the problem. When I described the problem to the technician, he instantly concluded that my AC compressor was broken, because "that's what causes the circuit board to trip so much." He then gave us a quote of $6200 to replace the whole unit. I became suspicious because the technician did not perform any tests on my AC unit, or take a look at the circuit board. I found it extremely outrageous because the technician CHARGED us $125 when he DIDN'T do any work to check for the problem. I wanted to get a second opinion, so I had someone from another company come over to look at the problem. As it turned out, there was a problem with loose wiring in the breaker, which was fixed on the spot. Spending $6200 would not have fixed the problem at all... I've read the reviews about Burke, perhaps I had an inexperienced technician. But due to this experience, I am unlikely to use Burke again, or recommend it to anyone.
