Burke Plumbing and Heating was awful awful awful!!!!They came to my house fixed a fuse and proceeded to tell me I was low on freon. They filled it up and we thought everything was fixed. 30 min., $290 dollars. After returning home from work we noticed the unit was not running so we called them back out. They proceeded to say it was the fan motor, then they said it was the board, then they said the compressor was blown. They told me I needed to replace the whole unit outside $4300 and it wasn't covered by our manufacturer. We called the manufacturer and they told us it was covered, being the unit was only 3 years old, so we knew something shady was going on. We called a different company out; they told us there is nothing wrong with your unit and said whoever came out over filled you with freon causing freezing and too much psi pressure. After finding that out we called the office of Burke, they were extremely rude. They refused to reimburse us for anything even though they caused more of a problem then we originally had. Avoid Burke Plumbing and Heating, they will overcharge you and cause more harm then good.

The check came out and told me my outside unit needed to be replaced and the exchanger up in the attic also needed to be replaced at a cost of approximately $10,000. I got a second opinion and found the outside unit was running perfectly and the exchange rate in the Attic had an electrical problem that was easily taken care of by my electrician and my air conditioning is working perfectly, this cost me less than $300, needless to say this company is out for the money and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

WARNING. This company is completely dishonest and tried to take advantage of my disabled cousin. I called them to diagnose why his thermostat kept shutting off. They reported that the entire boiler was un-salvageable and needed to be replaced for $8800.00. I believed him over the phone at 4:30 pm, and agreed to proceed. The next morning another professional went for a 2nd opinion.. . said the boiler was fine and solved the problem for $200.00. I cancelled with Burke by 9 am and Burke Plumbing claimed I still had to pay $1014 in restocking fees and freight charges. Never did they tell me about any fees if I cancelled less than 12 hours. I had to dispute this with my credit card company and eventually prevailed because he hadn't told me about any fees if cancelled, nor was it in his contract. Which is a direct violation of the Consumer's Protection Act. You may notice that I posted a review praising them... I'm only leaving that there because it shows that in Nov. they said the system needed no repairs, yet 1 month later, they claimed the system was un-salvageable. The other professional repaired it for $200. and it has worked fine all winter long, beware!

My old AC wasn’t working, it was leaking coolant and needed to be replaced. They had the unit at the warehouse and came back and did the whole job in one day. I would give them 5 stars across the board except i had to sweep up after them outside. Very friendly and explained everything to me.

This was one of the easiest things I had to do as a new homeowner. Service was fast, efficient and affordable. I really couldn't have been happier with this transaction

I thought it was a little expensive for a one-hour service call, but that is probably the going rate. He came exactly when he was supposed to come and was very thorough and courteous. I would recommend this company to others.

I will never use this guy again. He tried to rip me off.

the first company that came out said we needed a whole new unit for $6250. Burke came out and fixed the unit for $850

Showed up a hour and a half late .Charged $221 dollars labor for a half hours work!!! Then charged $400 dollars for a single residential A/C charge! Highway robbery! Call someone else!

They are very good and very polite.

The first visit went very well. When I called him back for an issue I had he seemed agitated. Apparently he didn't understand my issue and was even more agitated when I tried to clarify the issue. Charged an exuberant amount for being there a 1/2 hour. But ultimately it's fixed and I certainly couldn't have done it myself.

Upon arrival of the tech to fix the unit. The tech took 15-20 mins. Once I recieved the bill of $611.00 I nearly had a stroke. I called the company and I spoke to Jim the owner who said it was a good deal. To me that is not a good deal. I would advise any consumer to research and not use this company. The cost was $225 for 15-20 mins of labor

Jim called the town inspector on a different project that was done on my house..he put the gauges on the condenser but he did NOT check the vents OR put freon in and I over paid for a job that was NOT completed and didnt need to be serviced.

They charged to much.
