Sharpe Builders

Scott seemed like a nice guy and came over to look at the job and gave me a reasonable quote. Once we decided that we would choose him for the job we let him know and he suggested a day to meet to sign the contract. However, over the period of more than a week he never confirmed a time to meet despite reaching out to him to confirm more than once. He never showed up on the day he suggested (which I had taken off from work) and was only after several days and several attempts to contact him that he finally let us know that he wasn't interested in the job anymore.

Scott came by to give an estimate and seemed friendly and knowledgeable. When we decided to go with him after getting a few estimates, he came back again to measure and agree on a the final details. He asked for half of the money for the job up fron to order supplies, but I was not ready for this so I asked him to give me some time to move the money around to my checking account. He indicated that this would not be a problem, and said I could leave the check in my mailbox for him to pick up, or give it to him the day he starts working. He then emailed me a few days before work was scheduled to begin, asking for the check. I replied that I was hoping to give it to him the day he started, and I hoped this was OK. He did not reply to that, so I assumed it was. The day the work was to begin, now 12 days ago, I took the day off work and prepared my home for him to start, but he never showed up. I called him a few times, emailed him, but there was not answer. I tried him several times, in the next week over the phone, left voice mails, sent emails, all were unanswered. Finally I sent an email to tell him to please cancel the order, which he also did not reply to. So I am out a day of work, my roof is still not repaired, and now have to scramble to find someone to do this work ASAP. Not sure what kind of work Scott would have done, but his behavior in this case was very unprofessional and unreliable.

Sharpe Builders responded right away when I called to explain my problem with the sunroof. They showed up the next day and examined the old sunroof. They reviewed the situation with me - fully explaining all the potential options. They followed up in 2 days with a written quote. We discussed the options and within 3 days they had removed and replaced the sunroof. They made sure it was sealed properly, the shade was replaced and the area was cleaned up. While they were on the roof they examined some other leaks I was experiencing. In one week I had a detailed quote to repair the leaks. They replaced the clapboard siding, placed tyvex lining paper and sealed the chimney. Once again the project looked great and they cleaned up and removed all old materials. I really like doing business with Sharpe Builders because they have many years experience, their quality is excellent, they are timely and most important - I trust them. I will not hesitate to use them again.

He explained everything he was going to do, he wrote it out, and I was impressed. He was extremely professional and explained all the cost and materials he was going to use. I appreciated him because he recommended top quality materials. He went the extra mile and finished our job off before a major storm. He also recommended a creative solution to accessing the chase.

The crew were neat, respectful of our home/neighbors. The work site was always cleaned up before the end of the day. The porch roof was done in a timely manner.... and mostly, it has not leaked!!!! Scott and his crew did all they promised, the quality and price were very satisfactory.

Sharpe Builders did an excellent job remodeling the interior of the house. He worked with us on the plans and everything came out great. We are very pleased with the outcome--it is just as we imagined. At the end of everyday all debris was cleaned up and ready for the day's work. The quality of the work is great. All the sub-contractors arrived as scheduled so there were no delays. Our friends have been truly impressed when they saw the results. We are still enjoying it every day. The second job was a matter of replacing a lot of rotten trim on the exterior of the house. Everything looked great upon completion. We would recommend Sharpe Builders to anyone.

Sharpe builders responded to my call very quickly, arrived on time, were professional, and most importantly, performed the job the way they said that they would. They successfully fixed my leaky roof and corrected a siding issue. I would definitely use them again!
